Can anyone tell me what the orange stripe means on the top right corner of the army units?

Can you do a video on the mechanics of manual combat? I have a very experienced friend who says you must never auto-battle; always fight manually, since the algorithms that control Auto-Battle sometimes do dumb things and your troops will die more often than not. I tried manual combat and haven't got a clue what I'm supposed to be doing. Its so confusing and complicated.
How do you know who's turn it is? When combat starts, both sides' units flash. So who goes first? There should be something that says "Your turn" but there isn't. How do I know what unit I'm moving? Why can't I move like one square only? The game forces me to move more than I want. Why does it do this? How do you skip a turn, and in which circumstances would you skip a turn? What button do you press to skip a turn? Why can my troops only move like a few squares and my enemy can move half way across the board in one move? What benefit does terrain have? When should you use your rogues? Where should they be located? Why do I get killed in one hit by Artillery as soon as it starts? I don't have a chance to do anything! How are you supposed to counter that kind of firepower if you've got troops an age below your enemy? Really need help. Just got Traz and feel like I've wasted fps and goods getting this GB if I can't get the hang of manual combat. I can't practice because I'm out of troops now. I really need help.
🤩 I will make one this weekend!!! Hopefully, I can answer every single question (these are great questions)! 🙈 I auto battle because I am lazy lol 😂 but I do manual battle when necessary. Hang in there, Lil will hopefully be coming to the rescue!

Edit: another question: if I'm facing two waves of enemy units, say there's 12 of them, how do I pair-up 8 of mine against 12 of theirs? Usually I win the first wave and get wiped out by the second. My friend can do 58 out of 64 GE encounters just by fighting. I can do two at most (auto battle) lol. Need your video :)

If I might request ... I would like to learn HOW to make my rogues attack first and I cant figure how. The game seems like wont let me advance my rogues in to battle first

Hey Liliana, I have a question unrelated to this video. In other vids you talk of having thousands of goods for an era before advancing in age. While I am building strength in army, I need to mostly negotiate in ge and gbg. Which consumes goods. Need to be team player in your guild. It would take me years to reach the level you suggest. What is your trick? Thank you
With time you'll earn event buildings and those give goods in addition to fp. Also, once your daily fp generation is high enough you could ask about goods traders in your guild that would trade you goods. With 1:2 trades and some fp you can triple your goods stock in just 2 trades. There are also great buildings that produce goods or help you generate them. As a new player, focus on fp generation rather than advancing in ages. Also, make sure you find a guild that has many advanced players that are willing to help you and guide you
