I cut the tissue paper an inch bigger all the way around then fold it over on the sides first just using a small piece of scotch tape to hold then fold the ends over and use a small piece of scotch tape, the ends feed though the printer so that keeps anything from catching, folding it over also helps to keep it from wrinkling up because it holds the tension on the thin tissue, I also use a light to medium weight cardstock paper for the core which helps it hold its shape. I have a friend that does it like this and she is always fighting wrinkles and tears and mine don't seem to have an issue as long as I get my tissue paper taut.
I tried the fold over too. Nope .. but maybe cardstock. But not sure I’d want to waste that. It’s definitely a learning what works for you and your printer kind of thing. Lol 🤗
@@GingerChickRehab I just keep reusing the card stock, I use something with a shiny side and that's the side I tape on and then the tape peels back off, the ones I'm currently using came out of sheets I bought last year, I'm scotch and apache, everything gets used until it's used up, then used once more! 😆
Love the stools with the distressed legs, especially the spindle stool. All turned out beautifully. Thank you for the tutorial with tissue paper. You have saved us from a lot of grief.
I love to watch you do your projects! Just when I think you are done you do another step. I always love how your things look when you are done. Every project is a tutorial in itself! Thanks for showing your beautiful work.
Loved them all & keep them coming you do them all in so many different ways & so beautifully love stools, & thank you for tissue paper ideas love them .
These are beautiful. I think the single stool is my favorite! I love the seat style. As usual your attention to detail is perfect! I would expect nothing less!! 😍💕 I have found with my printer it works best to wrap the paper over the edges like a gift. thanks Yvonne
Love these stools! You did a wonderful transformation. I love watching these videos. I don't care how many times you have done this technique before. Each stool, bench is different in one way or another.
As I told you before , I love how meticulous you are and watching you step by step is so calming and you make it look so easy and again the quality just shines through!
Beautiful! I think my favorite was that stool with the decorative legs. The antiqueing wax and black paint is just gorgeous and I love the graphics. I love Etsy. So many amazing shops! You can literally find anything on that site!
I love Roosters. I'm moving in a couple of months. My BFF asked me my color theme for my kitchen. Rooster. These stools are amazing. That kind of small item remake is therapeutic for me. Thank you for the tissue paper printing info. I appreciate your tutorials.
OMG, you had when you started the decoupage on the first stool. I'm completely in love with these the single bow style was my favourite. Your ESPN is working because I have been trying to learn how to make my own tissue paper prints! Thanks Yvonne, your awesome 🥰
I roll the top of the tissue paper about 1/2 inch over the top of the copier paper and also at the bottom and use scotch tape and it goes through pretty smoothly. It has worked well for me using it that way.
Hello from Lansing!! I’m just getting into the decoupage scene and am researching using tissue paper. Thanks for the tips and tricks. Love the all the stools.
They all turned out great! 😀 I learned how to do the tissue printing from DIYS at the Schwowins Nest! Cut the tissue bigger than the printer paper, fold over and use painters tape on the back side (mostly across the end that goes into your printer), and tack the bottom, like you did but using painters tape.Works great! I can reuse the paper and tape several times. Just a thought. Also if you have one that wants to wrinkle, use Saran Wrap to help smooth it out without tearing it.
I love them and thinks for the show of how to do the tissue paper. I made a pair natural top white bottom and where the feet go wrapped in rope sold quick and then she texted and wanted two more.
They all turned out beautiful. I can’t pick a favorite. I have six kitchen chairs that I would love to do your technique on. Boy they would be awesome!!! I’ll have to find a stool to practice it on. If it turns out I’ll give it ago. Thanks for sharing your talents with us you guys.
Yvonne, these stools are beautiful, I like the top of the longer black one the best... I just ordered some stuff from etsy, so now ill go back and get some more, I love them all. So if there not gone ill get them. You both do a fantastic job as always. God bless 🙏
So glad you reenforced the legs with glue. When a stool is wobbly it is dangerous!!! I was cooking dinner,as usual sitting on a stool at the stov. I noticed a movement next thing was flying across the kitchen landing head into the cabinets but what worse was the spindle from sticking out of my leg spraying blood everywhere.
Love the tissue paper printing tutorial. It’s so nice that you show the things that didn’t work as well as what did. What would you recommend for adhering a poster to a canvas to resemble a painted canvas?
Hi, you can buy printable canvas. I use it to make prints of my artwork. If you can’t find it at Hobby Lobby you can find it online. Ginger may have a better source, just thought I’d share that with you, because it took me a while to come across it.
As always great content. I love the idea of using tissue for decoupage. Really opens up the options. One trick you probably already know, but if you use just a wet paint brush around the edges where you want to trim your paper, it will tear easily and save you the step of roughing up the edges. I can't remember if I've seen you do that or not. Thanks again!
Use freezer paper instead of copier paper. Measure and cut your freezer paper the size of copier paper then iron your tissue paper to the waxy side of the freezer paper. Run your freezer/tissue paper in your printer and print your image. Peel off freezer paper. Love your channel
Decoupaging with tissue paper is my favorite. It’s so much easier to work with. If I have a beautiful paper napkin print, I will make a copy of the napkin and print it on tissue paper.
Thought you would like this. Because of this video I had to go get a new printer. I have one that uses ink jet cartridges and it is useless because never enough ink or always empty. Now I can print on tissue paper and download other stuff. All I need now is a Cricut or Silhouette. although IOD, A Maker's Studio screen stencils, decoupage papers keep me pretty business. New Booth has been difficult. I go Pleurisy and Covid Pneumonia so February was basically a Bust. Working hard now to get mark going. So tired sometimes but you inspire me Yvonne.
Love this!! I have my stools I've been wanting to redo. My favorite is the chicken print. I have a chicken themed kitchen and dining room.. Thanks for the inspiration !!💓💓
Love this! This is a trick I used to use, and it worked great with light muslin fabric, but I bet it would work with tissue paper as well. I used to iron it onto real butcher paper, the shiny side, and then cut it letter size. And it would print directly onto the muslin fabric... I haven't used this for tissue paper yet, excited to test it out! Thank you for all your amazing ideas!
These are so cute love love love them
Love your stools❣️Thank you for great idea with tissue paper “transfers”. ✌️&❤️🌻🌻🌻

They're all my favorite! Thank you for going through the trial and error of printing on tissue paper so that we don't have to.
Your welcome
Thank you for the tissue paper project. My fav is the cow image on square stool. I like square stools

I had no idea had taping the tissue paper would work! Thank you for showing that!
Every stool is beautiful. The printing on tissue paper works great on these stools.
Love the stools with the distressed legs, especially the spindle stool. All turned out beautifully. Thank you for the tutorial with tissue paper. You have saved us from a lot of grief.
