    Hello Cara Renee’ so happy to see you today. I love printing on these items also fabrics and tracing paper. I use a cheep glue stick spread lightly, and it peals off once I take it out of the printer with little residue. I use the same “sticky” paper for several sheets of the tissue paper and fabric. I also found “linen” for ink jets on Amazon to print on which is so exciting. I love the way the rice paper looks in journals as a page. Although not completely transparent it still looks fabulous on the other side. And yes, agree, I find rice paper such a gorgeous affect when using for decoupage and on the mixed media I’ve tried. When I use fabric I typically use a medium weight cotton. Thank you for sharing. I’ve got to search for the rice paper for inkjet. Your videos are so amazingly organized and helpful. I’ve got much to learn. Many blessings. 💜

    This is a perfect tutorial to keep & refer to, and very enjoyable to watch, thank you. Having this comparison between 3 different papers on one video is invaluable. The tissue paper looks like the fussiest paper to print on but the lovely transparent results are gorgeous & perfect for what I want to do with them. I do hope my printer behaves as it would save a bundle on the cost of buying pre-printed papers compared to printer ink.

    Hmm. Interesting and thanks for showing us how to do this cool printing. But when you said on the rice paper it didn't matter which side you put in your printer, I thought it did cause you glued it to a sheet of copy paper. Right? Confused

    • @BRebornArtHealing
      @BRebornArtHealing  2 года назад

      I am able to put my rice paper right in my printer 🙂 don't have to glue or tape it. Just ensure you have copy paper behind it if your printer is a top load like mine. I have never noticed a difference between them sides of the rice paper and haven't paid attention to which side I am printing on. The vellum also doesn't have to be taped on. Just feed it in with several papers behind it. This is my experience on my printer though 💛 hope that helps.

    Question. How do you stabilize the ink with the rice paper and tissue so it doesn’t run when adding medium such as decoupage?

    • @BRebornArtHealing
      @BRebornArtHealing  9 месяцев назад

      I just zap it with my heat tool. I tend to use those things for layering in mixed media so I don't really notice any bleed.

  • @luvcrafts2day
    @luvcrafts2day Месяц назад

    If you are going to decoupage over the image do you have to seal it with something to keep the ink from running?

    • @BRebornArtHealing
      @BRebornArtHealing  Месяц назад +1

      I usually just heat set with my heat tool. I use them mostly in mixed media so I don't mind if they bleed a little. When I print straight on vellum or tracing paper, it is used as a page in my journals. The vellum only needs a few minutes to dry. I hope that answers your question.
