@@drfelixgraham It definitely is a little bit of magic, not real magic, but the magic of how our body has shaped. Everyone will improve if they train for as long and as hard as these people have, but some people just weren't physically built to hit those kind of notes. A bass isn't gonna magically whip out a note like that by exercising, even if it's 12 hours a day with a professional vocal coach.
RIGHT?!?!?!????? I'm SO jealous and SO overjoyed and SO dumbfoundedly enraptured and I must find them right now and if they aren't still singing then let me out I don't want to be part of this planet anymore lol.
Omg riiighttt???? I was so blessed to have a ticket to his final broadway performance as Evan and it was just magical! I don’t think a single person in the audience could hold back even a few tears at least especially after his third bow and the entire cast was up there crying together.
Absolutely. 4 1/2hrs power washing a drive way went in a flash as I was listening to a playlist on shuffle of stage musicals through my headphones. Totally lost in the moment. Didn’t notice the that I was covered head to toe in muck. 😜. Gosh I can’t wait for the theatres to reopen. To celebrate and rejoice in the wealth of talent that largely goes unreported on 🤞🏼🤩.
It's amazing how these incredible voices take us to another dimension. It's inspiring, divine but not many people can feel it or understand why we cry.
can't believe I discovered Rachel in 2015 through that video of Little Fall of Rain and now it's 2021 and she is still slaying, just more people know her name now
Lindsay Mendez was literally born to play Elphaba. She suits the role so beautifully. I know she doesn't have a Wicked clip in here, but I just felt that was important to say.
So much talent in one video and the industry in general but I have to say Lindsay Mendez is my favourite actor for a reason. Wish dogfight went Broadway
I saw Jessica Vosk in Wicked, and lemme tell you, she is even BETTER in person. That woman is incredible. I also met her after and she is super sweet. :)
i just want to point out that these kids in matilda on broadway literally are like 12, can dance for two hours, sing amazingly, and also have an amazing accent like WHAT
I was in a production of maltida a year ago and the entire night you were just WAITING for Revolting children (that and Loud personally, as I was playing Rudolpho)
The entirety of Revolting Children is iconic, honestly.
Matilda needs a Revival !
Exactly
@Madeleine Heath Depending on when and where you might’ve seen me!!
I was Jack Broderick's guardian on Billy Elliot and watching him play "Bruce" makes me smile. He is such a talent.
So mad I missed Matilda.
I’ll never in my life even understand how Sutton foster just DOES that
Training!

MAGIC and probably a favor from Apollo or some shit
Training. And training. And more training. It's not magic, it's just work.

I'm 33, been in voice lessons for years, and still can't do that. I want to see that kid go far.

omg sameeeee
I went to my DEH show expecting Ben but we had the understudy 😭
Evan Hansen was finally a good broadway show. It has been so long something was put together so well.
“Speaking of Vibrato...”
**a wild Ben platt appears**

I swear, I think I see you in every single comment section of theater videos lmao

Oh Gary my laywer
Funny seeing you here haha
Love any video that starts with Anything Goes appreciation. Also Eva Noblezada.
I've lost count of how many times I've watched that Revolting Children clip
me too
you can’t just show ben levi ross singing words fail in here and expect me not to cry
broadway complications are keeping me alive, theatre and books are truly comforting and relaxing
the reactions of the cast members at 3:02 make me smile SO BIG every time
i’m a simple woman. i see steph j blocks face and i click.
Literally same.
that's why i'm here lmao

"yes we're watching most of this number"
Okay but homie at 2:45 did NOT have to snap like that!!!
I appreciate this for one reason. having no good deed instead of defying gravity
Granted it was good, but honestly, you could have put any series of musical clips in front of me and I'm hooked lol

That's Jessica Vosk's "No Good Deed" which utterly destroys me
Thank you for putting man up after words fail. BoM is my fave musical so I needed that to cheer me up after Ben reduced me to tears 😂🥺
1:39 reminded me of Ryan and Sharpay doing the jazz hand thingy lol
i can't tell if i'm freezing cold or just getting major goosebumps from this
When I saw Matilda live I specifically remember having my entire body buzzing with watery eyes the whole song
Audra cannot open her mouth without making tears roll down my cheek
at 3:00 nearly being brought to tears and then followed up with hip thrusting revolting children is... quite jarring
Seeing Matilda live was one of the best things ever.
I was blessed to be able to see Matilda in my home town and I cried- it was beautiful.
how are these children singing while maintaining steady voices, i would be trembling ??
ok but revolting children is one of the most fun songs to perform
Also Audra McDonald makes me cry every time H O W
I can confirm that it’s an even more intense cry seeing her live!
