The fact that there is no recording of the deaf west spring awakening is the greatest crime. I love groffsause and the og case but the asl version adds soooo many layers to the story
It's how Ramin Karimloo's. He's probably the number one, or number two, male vocalist for me. He could sing the ingredients on the back of a bottle of antidepressants and I wouldn't need them any more.
Guys just speaking from experience, literally anyone can sing with voice lessons. Trust me. Talent is only part of it and can be matched with training. Best wishes to you in the future! ❤️
I saw Cynthia Ervio in TCP before the Tony nominations were even announced. She got a standing ovation in the middle of I'm Here. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SONG. FULL HOUSE. SATURDAY NIGHT. STANDING OVATION. Incredible.
4:37 probably my favorite part about The Mad Ones is the fact that they switch who sings top harmony and bottom harmony. It let's both girls flex their belts and really keeps the music interesting.
Usually I would agree about anything pertaining to company I love that show with my whole heart however I disagree, I believe that Rual played the character to angry when he is just supposed to be a lonely bachelor, with that being said his voice is phenomenal so if we are going of off sound alone then yes he deserved it but some of his acting choices take away from how the character is meant to be portrayed in my opinion
@@ejgotcher1011 idk he never rly lashes out like he’s angry but it’s all under the surface which is precisely how Bobby should be and is the tone of company in general. Like he’s perfectly lovely and charming outwardly but there’s something in his voice and expression which lets you into the true misery of the situation, which is why he’s miles ahead of all other Bobby’s in my opinion.
It was pretty odd if I remember. It was nominated for Tony’s as a play so it didn’t get a soundtrack or anything. I’m still so confused by how it could count as a play. I might be thinking of something else but I remember the 2019 Tony’s had a play perform a musical number
Omg I did Parade in uni and hearing that finale again with the choir just KILLING it just made me burst into tears. Best show I’ve ever been a part of hands down. I was only ensemble but cried every night on stage.
That Parade Concert is probably one of the most beautiful thing I've ever witnessed. Thanks for including and making one of these compilations that is unique and niche!
I had the HONOR of watching live Stuart Matthew Pince perform "There's a Ligh" live with my brother (who passed me down the love for RHPS) and after that climax we looked at each other and we were both teary-eyed, goosebump up to our shoulders. It was incredible. We got the ticket to another just to experience that ONE moment again... and honestly, if I had the chance I'd do it again.
I actually got to see Stuart Matthew Price on tour and he was soooo good and literally made me gasp. He sadly won't be on the next one in 2021 from what I heard but it's understandable.
Thoughts!! - Ragtime should've won Best Musical over The Lion King. There I said it. (I work in the Lyric, so I love seeing all the Ragtime stuff strewn about backstage) - Raul should've won Best Actor over David Hyde Pierce - Kerrigan & Lowdermilk are SUCH UNDERRATED WRITERS!!! - The first time I saw that Hair revival, as you may know it starts snowing at the end, and by god, as we exited the theater, it was snowing. There was no forecast for snow that day, just rain. IT is to this day one of the most magical theatergoing experiences of my life. - Andrew Rannells can do whatever he wants to me - The second "I'm Here" started, I started bawling, as I always tend to do when hearing that song (when I saw it live, I was in awe) and it is really hitting me in the feels. I mIss Broadway, I miss theater, I miss my job and my coworkers.
3:59 AHHHHH LOVING the Mad Ones appreciation!!! It’s one of my favorite musicals EVER!! And the girls (Krystina and Emma) are two of my favorite actresses ever! Yay!
THANK YOU for including the part of "That's what he said" from Parade where Leo and Lucille come in, nobody EVER talks about it and it's hands down one of the best moments in musical theatre we've ever been blessed with!
AHHHHH PARADE BEING INCLUDED ON A MUSICAL COMP? TF? AND MULTIPLE TIMES??? I’m so happy that this is getting attention! I’m in love with the whole soundtrack, and I’m so glad that you gave recognition to that harmony at the end of “That’s What He Said”; it makes me ascend every time. Although, I don’t think it’s Leo and Lucille singing this part; I’ve heard that it’s actually Frankie and a couple of other company people in the courtroom singing “High!”, in reference to how the court was screaming “Hang him”. Anyways, I’m really hoping for another revival and/or maybe even a movie musical of some sort. God, I love this musical, it gives me life-despite its dark overtones.
Not me thinking I'd seen every video on youtube with Jeremy Jordan singing, but seeing shows I didn't know he was a part of and now questioning everything I've ever known
Catch me watching a bunch of comps like this, despite not having any interest in musical theatre, because I have regrettably developed a crush on a musical theatre actor and I must consume all potential content they're in
I'd never heard of "The Last Five Years" until I stumbled across a random RUclips clip of Cynthia Erivo singing "I Can Do Better". She flubbed the lyrics but nailed the song.
okay seriously, this is my most watched video pretty much ever. just wanted you to know that I watch this anytime I get sad and it cheers me right up! this collection of songs/moments gives me life
When you hear that Ramin, Raul, Ruthie, and Karen are starring in Chess in DC and you’re a native New Yorker and on one hand, you want to be incredibly happy for the DC residents who get to experience this kind of theater magic when they don’t always get to in DC, but on the other hand, you want to see it so badly. Lol
i just found this and i have to give you props for including the performer/song/show names in the corner!!! and also for reminding me that the russian broadway shut down video exists
Cynthia Erivo is going to CRUSH IT as Elphaba in the movie version of Wicked. Can't wait for the cast album to drop!
All I need in my life is Jeremy Jordan One of his more unique skills (other than the belting because WOW that breath support), is his ability to BLEND with any partner he has. A lot of times different voice types don’t mesh, but he makes it work with ANYONE (and steals the show sometimes but he doesn’t even try) and that’s one of the many reasons I love him
It's a sketch made after Russia passed that law banning homosexual conduct. A bunch of Broadway stars got together to make a fake, gay, Russian musical as a way to raise money and awareness to what was happening in Russia. I recommend it 1000%, it's literally the funniest thing ever.
Like all of these are great but I got so into it when the ragtime opening came on I literally yelled fuck yeah... god I miss musical theatre so much... oh to be in a theatre watching a show again (Also so many of these I had never heard of so thanks for the new additions to my 'musicals I had never heard of before the sudden surge of musical medley vids on yt)

there should have been a proshot ur so right
there’s def a bootleg recording of DWSA btw
there was a two parter here on RUclips but looking at my bootleg playlist, it looks like it got deleted : (
I didn’t know that I needed a Jeremey Jordan and Groffsauce duet until now and now I never want to be without it
No one :
Me : **out loud** “oH hEy gRoFf”
Oh my god I’ve never related to a comment so much
If I could broadcast this comment to everywhere I would
it's how ramin doesn't even bother to open his mouth because his resonance is on point every time
It's how Ramin Karimloo's. He's probably the number one, or number two, male vocalist for me. He could sing the ingredients on the back of a bottle of antidepressants and I wouldn't need them any more.
Honestly he can just stand there and I’m impressed
WHY ARE PEOPLE SO TALENTED AND I AM NOT -
cynthia erivo deserves the WORLD and more. it's a crime she's not cast in theatre far more often.
relatable
Guys just speaking from experience, literally anyone can sing with voice lessons. Trust me. Talent is only part of it and can be matched with training. Best wishes to you in the future! ❤️
Why are we not talking about the guy at 11:45 saying "we need a power top and a power bottom" and somehow keeping a straight face??????

Holy crap I was just about to comment this
