- i still dont know if it's musical theatre or musical theater. but here's another compilation of random musical moments i like. originally i had clips from the phantom 25th anni concert and the les mis 2019 concert but the copyright bot got me. did my best to avoid too much overlap with my existing compilations but there is still some mild overlap!! all my self control went into not putting that single NYTW hadestown wedding song video that i see every time i close my eyes.

ciara renée is actually insane
shes one of my favorite performers- her range and tone is so stunning!!
I was blessed enough to see her live and y'all.... She took Waitress' Jenna into an emotional believability that had you livid despite being completely aware of it being a show that no other show has done for me. And Joshua Henry.... What a stage daddy. ✨👑

@@helena-0808 I DIDN'T KNOW HE WAS IN AMERICAN IDIOT!! HEARING THE COMPARISON AND ABSOLUTE 180° THAT IS WAITRESS TO CAROUSEL IS INTOXICATING! 🫠 I'm psyched to see him in Beauty and the Beast. Also, if I can recommend someone to see live (if RUclips, his rendition of What It Is About Her is... Ungodly ✨), watch Milo Also/Mike Longo. HOLY SHIT. Okay, straight up a human siren. I had to keep reminding myself to watch the rest of the show. He truly is alluring as a performer in every way.
@@Osarah96 yess check out the song favorite son from american idiot! thats his big song and he NAILS IT. i saw his performance of gaston (its on youtube now) and wow.. its so good..

or honestly josh young has a really pretty quality to his voice that reminds me of joshua henry sometimes- i rly like his bring on the men performance (its on youtube!)
I was very lucky and I got to see some of these live. Hearing Patrick singing hellfire live was incredible. A performance that really stuck with me. I got to talk to him on a separate occasion before Hadestown and he is the sweetest. I got to meet Ciara. Also lovely. I'm so happy to see so many kind and talented people being recognized and doing amazing things.

I haven't heard much from Deaf West after Spring Awakening. That's not a pun. I'm genuinely sad cause they were great.

My pedantic addition- theatre is the concept, like the institution as a whole, whereas theater is the place. So you were absolutely correct! Great collection of clips!

im not sure about the musical tho, most of the broadway stuff he talks abt has to do with the stuff Michael arden has been directing
