    Thanks, guy wanted 750 cash. After checking other comments I noticeed 500new and 350 used. Guy was ripping me off because I told him I'm new to shooting. He works at small local shop. Told me $750 is awsome deal, if i pay cash he will do for 700 even. Wow, that put the red flag straight up. I come here only to find our instinct can be good to listen to. Thanks all, now I'M getting open box one for $349.00.

      MaxOreo Gaming it should be yes, this gimbal can take any mirror less or dslr camera under a certain weight ( I’m not exactly sure what the maximum weight is, but I know it’s quite high ) and since your Sony is mirrorless that means it’s light so it should be fine. Hope this helps

    5:35 shouldn’t the ridges face the hole? There are grooves that allow the ridges to lock in place if you do it that way & I skimmed through the video and saw no reason why to do it your way

    1 Tip: If you position the camera on the plate, make sure that there is no gap between the side (tilt) motor and the camera. It will vibrate if you hold the gimbal in certain angles.

    • @Focal_Films
      @Focal_Films 6 лет назад

      correct me if I misunderstood something.
      after putting the camera on, should I approach it to the tilt axis motor?
      I have a problem with vibrations.
      And one more thing with the lock button pressed, the gimbal turns itself to the left and after returning it returns to the center. Is this a matter of balance?

    • @liquid69tai
      @liquid69tai 6 лет назад +1

      Peter the Videot.
      Thanks Ling. I didn't move the camera because it was nicely balanced but to test your theory I placed a small empty cardboard carton between the camera and the tilt motor. Solved the vibration problem completely. When the carton is removed after a short while (20 seconds), the vibration begins again. Replace the carton and it doesn't. Yipee! I'm so relieved.

    for those of you who struggle with balancing the camera when the lens is bigger than the body: take as refrence point the arms of the gimbal, not the lens. What I mean is: at 12:12 you can see the thing you move so that the lense is vertical, is horizontally aligned with the arm which holds the camera. If the lense you use is bigger and you try to align it vertically that "thing" (the one I mentioned) is not aligned with the arm, so, your camera is not acutally aligned and everything you do next won't work. Maybe this will help you, or maybe I was the only idiot not to notice that. Anyway, if you have the same problem, hope this saves you some time, because it took me 3 hours and a mental break down to figure this out.

  • @marqriley9460
    @marqriley9460 6 лет назад +5

    So yeah, this is the most detailed balancing vid out there, but having followed every step and achieving what seems like perfect balance, when I try to tilt it left or right like you do at 17:05 it goes back to center (horizontal) position, even though I balanced the cross arm with the roll axis screw. Why is my roll axis not doing this, any idea?

    • @frediculous9825
      @frediculous9825  6 лет назад +1

      Marq Riley hi, not really sure what’s going wrong. If it’s balanced in the normal position then I’m sure it’s fine. But if you have time I would recommend just starting all over again ( messing up the balance and restarting ) and just see if it works this time. Let me know how it goes

    • @sleepless1978
      @sleepless1978 6 лет назад

      I have the same problem as Marq. Just set it up and can't get it to stay where I put it when when moving the horizontal axis? The tilt stays where I put it but the horizontal one just keeps rocking back so it's straight. Not worried about it though as I doubt I'll ever need to use it like that, just thought I'd let you know. Great video though!

    • @marqriley9460
      @marqriley9460 6 лет назад

      Tried it again with a different camera, but same problem. Thinking it might be a manufacturing issue on the gimbal. Might return it for a different one.

    • @sleepless1978
      @sleepless1978 6 лет назад +1

      I've sent mine back to CVP.com. They're going to open up a new one and test it out for the issues I had with it before sending out the replacement. And they also said they'd refund me the £27 it cost to send the first one back. I also asked them to lower the price of the gimbal when I initially purchased it which they did - very good customer service! Definitely recommend them! Hopefully the new one will work fine, if not I guess I'll have to pay extra and get the Crane 2, which only has single handle :-(

    • @michaelflees8347
      @michaelflees8347 6 лет назад

      I'm having the same problem. I have an idea what might be causing it. When my camera sits lower on the tilt, with the screw very close to the end of the arm, I get the same thing with front and back tilt - goes right back to upright position when you tilt up or down. When I bring the camera up a bit on that arm, and compensate by moving the camera plate, it is balanced and will stay up or down when tilted. I wonder if things get messed up when the screw is tightened toward the end of the motor arm. Unfortunately, I can't avoid this on the horizontal arm because I am using a Canon 7D, and the way the weight is distributed doesn't give me another option - the up/down tilt motor blocks the camera from moving any more to the right.

    WEX Photo Video told me to look at this tutorial - it was really helpful, thanks for making it!
    One thing to note: I set the balance up on the single handle setup. I turned it on and it wouldn't stop shaking! Latest firmware, camera (77D, 10-18mm lens) balanced perfectly... it just wouldn't stop shaking. I put the gimbal and camera onto the dual-arm setup as you've used in this video, no shaking at all! It has me wondering if there's something within the electronics in the single handle that isn't quite right? I'm perplexed. So, if anything, buy this gimbal for the dual-handle setup, it's really comfortable too! Holding the button on the back of the right handle, so the camera locks into one place, is one of the most useful features of the a2000. At this point in time, I'm happy I went with this gimbal!

    Just a question: Can you use the Olympus 45mm 1.2 lens to shoot videos on GH5? Rather more specifically can you mount it on a Gh5 with a gimbal taking to account that the Olympus lens is manual and the native one for the gh5 is auto? I'm confused. I'm a newbie to the world of photography and cinematography but would like to take dive into it. I want to buy these three gadgets: a GH5 camera, a Olympus 45mm f1.2 lens, and fiayu a2000 gimbal. Please advise. Be kind with your comments.

    Nice instructional video. I've been using this gimbal since 2017 but stumbled across your video while looking for help with Feiyu-Tech's firmware update application.
    This may have already been addressed, but I noticed that you have the lens support piece backwards at 5:25. You correctly designated which side was front and which was the back, but you attached it to the camera mounting plate backwards. The ridges on the back side fit into the slots on the front of the camera mounting plate, thus preventing the lens support from wanting to shift/rotate around the screw.
    In regards to your comment about a microphone at 10:30, my typical setup with this gimbal uses a GH5 and a Rode VideoMicro mounted off center of the shoe using an adjustable shoe mounted rail. This allows for 90 degrees horizontal tilt (gimbal handle horizontal and camera facing forward) withough the roll motor hitting the mic. It makes the camera top heavy and you have to spend a few more minutes balancing things out but it still works very well.

  • @yeliseypuzur9442

    This man dose not know what he’s doing, there are a whole bunch of mounting points on the dual grip and the single grip, for accessory, like a mic. And the balancing is wrong too.

    Great video, but like so many here when I have everything balanced the camera stays in the "straight ahead" position where I balanced it. Moving the camera down or up -- the camera does not stay there but always always goes back to the original position. I hope my rig is still balanced. It seems like it is. But there is just no way that manually it will ever stay in whatever position I put it in. Right now the camera is looking straight ahead where I want it and it seems to work fine, so I guess I will go with that.

      Christopher Thorkon if you Gimbal is turned on it might be in mode 2 ( double tap trigger button to reset ). If it’s turned off and when you move it it moves that is natural I think.

      Lucky Green Digital the side where there is no buttons. Unscrew that, they go in there.

    This finally solved my balance issues. Thanks. I feel like I'm going to watch this a few more times so that I don't forget anything.
