Mine does fine. I adjusted the dead zone to 10 and speed to 30. The motor strength is supposed to set automatically, but I jiggled it around a bit and now have no jitter or other problems including lock drift. I would like to see lock mode as a button tap feature. I only use one camera with it (an a5100), and can be balanced and running in about one minute. I don''t have a walking problem. I use a monitor and microphone and recorder on the handle system. Overall its a good one. Good review and pretty accurate description.
Glad to hear it's working well for you :) Some tweaking can definitely help to a certain degree. I do agree that overall it's a good and complete system, rather compact with a fair amount of flexibility in mounting things like you said. :) Thanks for watching!
After leveling, the feiyu A2000 moved the camera and stabilizer and found that the feedback response seemed to be quite sensitive. Regardless of the swing up and down, the return time was almost at the same time.
Feiyu Tech has forgotten this gimbal, no firmware updates in a long time. I don't have the lock mode problem. Also if I hold the lock mode and press the function button mine stays in lock mode. A single press unlocks it and it changes to lock/pan. Overall it's a good gimbal for the money. Your review was excellent.
Yeah I think a lot of these gimbals get one or two updates and then they are what they are as new models come out. On the plus side, I'm glad to hear you've been enjoying it and I am actually testing their AK4000 now and it definitely feels like a more mature gimbal overall. Anyway, thanks so much for watching and commenting :)
Nice video, I have the same problem with my . is not center, but wen i walk with it. with the 2 handles, it move to the sides i cant keep it straight i f I wan to move to the right it move to the left and so . I balance right but nothing , what can I do thanks you.
Hi! Do you mean that it drifts away from center as you walk with it? It's possible that calibration might help. I can't remember the exact process for it but I think it's something like pushing the mode button 5 times, then simply lay it down on a flat surface. If you check the manual it should have information about how to calibrate it. That can often help problems with drifting.
I have the same problem with the temporary locking mode on the rear button. It's just moving a bit on the right side and there is currently no firmware that can resolve the problem :( Please let me know if there is some update to that problem. And yes sometimes the jitter is there but this is because of the balance I think. Great video by the way
When gimbal is all set up I would like it to go back in the case but sadly it wont, so now looking for a case as I don't want to take it apart and spend 1.5 hours getting it balanced.
Does this gimball work with camcorders or just DSLR cameras? On their website the specs mentions camcorders, but i cant seem to find any videos of a camcorder being used with this product. Please clarify for me. I am using a Sony HXR-NX100. Do you know if this item is compatible?
Hi! It's hard to say without trying but if it falls under the weight limit and doesn't have an extremely awkward body (if you can remove the top handle and EVF, for example, which may get in the way), it could be ok. If you're able to test it out on any gimbal, even not this one, just to check if it balances, that should be a good indication since physically most gimbals are very similar.
@@ScottDumas So i got the a2000 setup properly with everything balanced. I can tilt it in any direction. But when i turn the unit on there is a slight tilt to the right. The unit can stay straight when turned off, but when turned on - it tilts. Ive tried adjusting all of the knobs and slides to compensate for the lean, but the problem persists. Their app doesnt have the level calibration option like Feyu's youtube video showed. Do you have any idea what i can do to fix this tilting?
I'm not exactly sure without looking at the app (I'm sure it's been updated a lot since this video) but there should ideally be an option to either calibrate the gimbal or make some manual horizon adjustment. Not sure exactly where in the app it would be located at the moment, but I remember it being there before. If you're not able to find it let me know, but I don't have the A2000 on hand anymore so not sure if I can still figure that out or not.
@@ScottDumas The app does have horzontal adjustments. But only up to 10 degree difference. My tilt is more than that 10 degree difference and i cannot find any other way to adjust the tilt.
@@DuferAwyn Check this link for the manual... on p. 11 it has the steps to calibrate (initialize) the gimbal. Starts by tapping the button 5 times to enter initialization mode. After that, the difference should be minimal. Let me know how it goes :) cdn1.feiyu-tech.com/download/20190926/a2000_Manual_en.pdf
Definitely agreed. Slightly wasted potential was the thing that came to mind the most. I mean, it worked fairly well overall, but with all the competition that's just not enough for most people.
Hello! Someone help! The FeiyuTech a2000 steadicam has been in operation for a year now, when the stabilizer is tilted at 45 degrees, a failure occurs, calibration starts, the process repeats at each tilt, what could be the reason? contact connection?
after a1000 am when I use my G7 with a 25 mm lens, it doesn't have Optical stabilization, my footage ends up having jitters/shaky footage. but when I have a kit lens or lens with Optical stabilization it doesn't have that problem.
lens stabilization can definitely help smooth out those jitters with a lot of gimbals. When possible I try to use it myself, with this or other gimbals, as much as I can :)
Yeah I did find this gimbal a bit more shaky than some others, but there is some jitter with a lot of gimbals, especially if it's pushing the weight limit or poorly balanced on even one axis. While some gimbals can get by more or less without stabilization, I found that I really needed it with this gimbal.
really strange, it seems like certain angles of force due to the balance of a single handed grip or something like the battery grip doesn't play well with the motors.
This gimbal workfine to me...1st time use have issue with jitter n small vibration..aftr few times learn how to balance it well, no jitter or vibration issue now...use with sony a7rii + 50mm....
@@HighroadShow Hey, actually I'm not... a friend of mine has it and I don't think he's updated it (luckily, I guess). I'd say if you can't get it working, contact FT and let them know the problem, should be addressed soon.
Sure does :) It should handle anything up to around 2500g, so long as the size physically allows it to fit (any standard DSLR or mirrorless will be fine)
I've had good results with the Zhiyun Crane 2 and very soon I'll be testing the newly announced Moza Air 2 which looks absolutely incredible (huge payload, 8 follow modes, angled rear motor for better screen view, great accessories like wireless follow focus and carry backpack, very fair price etc). But, of course if you need/want one now, a not-yet-shipping gimbal won't help you at all :) The Ronin S also seems like a great gimbal but I don't have it myself and only used it for a short time. All three are a little overkill if you're using smaller cameras though in which case Zhiyun and Moza both have very popular smaller models as well.

Based on my experience, I strongly advise against FeiyuTech. The product never worked, would shake for no reason whatsoever. I took it back several times, the reseller admitted there was something wrong with it but could not replace the part. I ended up buying a DJI which works very well, so much so that I have since upgraded with that company. Avoid FeiyuTech.
Ive been bingeing reviews and yours is by far the best!!! THANK YOU!!! PS the lock function is still the same lol.

Hey, thank you for watching! I haven't heard of any updates or fixes from FT unfortunately, just something to work around I guess.
Can you also use this on the AK2000?
I like the dual handle too.
Their new AK4000 with the full ring seems even nicer... really hoping to get my hands on that soon :)
Hi, is there option to do the inception style shot with this gimbal?

Yeah that's the annoying part of most gimbal cases, having to reset them or disassemble them to put them back in the case :(
After the time it took to balance there's not way its going back in case!! I will have to dream something up. Cheers Laurence

It's this Gimbal working with Canon 70D
I haven't tried it myself but in terms of balance it should be fine. Anything other than that I'm not sure

will this gimbal work with a canon 80d?

In that case the Crane V2 or Moza Aircross would fit your budget and I think both should have a very solid performance.
