"I used to think happiness was Lubbock, Texas in my rear view mirror, but now happiness is Lubbock, Texas as far away as f*cking possiblier...." - A Texas Tech graduate
Did you accidentally find the worst, most desolate roads of Lubbock, or did you first do a bit of research to find them prior to your drive, 'Rising Crime News'?
Seriously,@@risingcrimenews? You're feigning ignorance? Oh my. A shameful move on your part, @risingcrimenews, not that I really much care. Proceed as you wish.
I lived in Lubbock Texas for over 30 years and it's been a great experience for me, the autumn through the winter season is my favorite time of the year in the Hub City, the city grows on the on the individual, then they will never leave, and then call it home. Go Tech!!!
lol, you're driving through a very old and dilapidated part of town. Was it your intent to stay in those areas and not present the entire parts of the city?
Well I am someone with a youtube channel and I showed that part of town because that is where gps took me and I drove around, found that area interesting and kept driving. the video wouldve been hours long had I driven longer. Thanks for watching
She came to El Paso and decided to go downtown early in the morning when all the businesses are closed and she made it appear as though they’re permanently closed. I’ll be honest she was very stereotypical and racist.
@@risingcrimenews You might consider doing shoutouts to viewers before you go to each area and ask for some guidance on the neighborhoods to get a good idea of where to go, what's what, etc..
Thanks for sharing that. I was just randomly driving and the video was getting pretty long just covering the east side so didn't make it to the west side.
Alot of the store fronts you showed and said no longer in use, are acually apartments and flats now, yes the bricks suck, and the block of bail bondsman you showd on the left, if you looked to the right you would have seen the sherifs office and jail.
The reason that you saw so many bail bond establishments is because you were right across the street from the Lubbock County Sheriffs Department ; and concerning the murder and violent crime rate , the overwhelming majority of those were in high crime areas with a lot of drug related activity !
I've lived in Lubbock for most of my adult life (since 2004-ish). It is getting more dangerous here but I can say that I have lived in the poorer areas and nicer areas. I only had someone break into my car once but this was due to leaving my door unlocked. They didn't steal anything or break anything. Most of this crap is happening around Avenue Q, the bars, and in Central Lubbock. Stay away from booze and drugs. Don't get out at night if you don't have to. Be aware of your surroundings. In other words, live a low risk lifestyle. Lubbock used to be pretty cool but they closed the amusement park which sucks. It was a fun place to go, especially for kids, during the Summer. The hospitals and medical care here used to be award winning and healthcare is horrible now. I have some pretty serious medical problems and the doctors here are terrible. Unless you are somebody important, you don't matter and don't count on getting actual treatment. If you go around South Lubbock and more West, it's pretty nice. We live in West Lubbock and it's peaceful out here.
I do live here in Lubbock yes our crime has gone up. They are slowly trying to do a revitalization of downtown. Anything east of University Av. Is consider the hood of the city
You mentioned domestic violence probably attributing to the high assault numbers. You are probably right. I think the Lubbock Chief of Police was arrested and charged with domestic violence last fall.
I live in Lubbock and our down town roads were laid by inmates back along time ago. But also you weren't the wrong way from down town everything that Lubbock is is the other direction. What you seen was the old Lubbock. To see Lubbock you have to drive the loop. No one goes down town unless you have business down there. It's mostly cops. And things to do with the law. Our homeless stay away from down town. They stay at homeless shelters or away from down town. Our east side isn't the best it's mostly been moving west and south. I've lived here my whole life and I don't feel unsafe living here at all. I would say you should come back and actually video the actual town. Not the old junky parts that are not used any more.
i live in lubbock and one thing i can say is most of the crime here is always in the same usual places. you should ahve gone to the south part of town it looks like a different city alot more up to date.
I wish i'd have seen it. I was very disappointed in texas in general after driving through both lubbock and Amarillo I hold texas to a higher standard than the rest of America. Because its TEXAS. Wouldve liked to see the better parts of town
🌚🌚🌚🌚🌚 JASON 🎸.....30K out of 40K increase settled in the city, The future is clear for the city of Lubbock🇲🇽....it will get worse, the officials are hiding how bad it is.

Set the gps for downtown then just drove around and that is where i ended up. Why did I miss the best parts?

@@risingcrimenews yes it looks like you intentionally went to the ghetto and bad part of downtown
@@risingcrimenewsI think you know that any cities downtown is going to be one of the worst parts of town...

Used Gps to get to city center then just randomly drove and thats where I ended up.
She came to El Paso and did the same thing.
Who are you and why are you just showing the old part of town? Your video is very misleading!!!

Your shocked that the bail bondsmen would have offices close to the court house? Cause thats were they usually are. Good for business.
This is East Lubbock,it’s pretty run down in that area. West of University it’s much better, west side is the best.
Thanks for sharing that. I was just randomly driving and the video was getting pretty long just covering the east side so didn't make it to the west side.
Sir, you misspelled South side of town.
@@Psy-kun-jc9qc southside is newly developed. South and West are the best places to live in Lubbock.

My desire to sleep has been making me miss some of your videos. I will try harder!
Love,

Sleep is very important. The videos can wait

The downtown looks like the city cares. So it has that going for it. Most cities aren't like that

I agree. The city government here is so corrupt.
Wow, my sister-in-law’s sister lives in Lubbock. It’s cool it has lots of brick roads 🧱
