These are some of the nicest tool holders I've seen on a french cleat wall!
For shooting from the hip I think you’ve done a great job. They function so well. It’s hard to beat the French cleat system
Very ingenious solutions across the board. Well done.
I like how you do your videos.... I don't need to see a person cut a piece of wood! Great Job, thanks for the entertainment and ideas!
Great video: creative use of scraps for high need purpose , no BS talk, entertaining to watch because of good ideas, steady flow , only show what is needed to demonstrate concept and methods. You videos are among the very few that I don’t find myself scrolling through to get to the useful information in need.
I enjoy watching your videos as they are full of ideas best suited for me as I retire very, very soon and intend on turning my single garage into a woodworking shop. So I will be going through all your videos again to reproduce a lot of your ideas before I can attempt any of my own. Keep up the great work.😎
John, the fact is that a workshop continually evolves, what works now may not in the future, it doesn't matter what others think, it's all about what works for you now.
Just what I needed today👌
Great video. Only suggestion may be for the corded trim router. A slot cutout in the base allowing it to be stored with the bit in it and at depth. Not for long term storage obviously, but would allow you to set the tool aside securely with out having to readjust the bit. I know you have gone over to the cordless so the corded just sits most of the time. However, having two trim routers, you may find that you can use them both to add to productivity. For instance one with a flush cut and one with a round over. By having both ready and adjusted you don’t need to change bits keeping bit changes and adjustments to a minimum.
I agree. I've put up a few cleats on a wall and started making some basic holders from some plywood, and I'm gonna cut a hole in the center for my trim router so I can keep it at the depth of had it set at like your saying. I'll prolly drill it out like ¾ so it'll fit all without a problem no matter what I got in it. But that's a great idea!
Your ideas are always good. Nothing amiss with any if your tool holders. Simple and practical and so easy to make. Wish I had wall space for a French cleat wall.
Outstanding! As you said, you could have built something more integrated and "pretty", but your various docks achieved your goals perfectly, and they fit spot on into the French cleat rails you already have.
You have a great imagination and a rare eye for simple innovation, my friend. Keep up the great work!
Wow, that's just what the doctor ordered, I'm going to use your idea 💡
Thank you....
I have watched a lot of french clear tool holder videos. Yours are by far the best ideas.
A man after my own heart. 10/10
Thanks for sharing. An excellent use of space, and very clever, simple holders, put together with scraps, pins and glue. I'm in the middle of re-organising my own garage workshop, which is why I had the good fortune to stumble upon your channel.
Brilliant work, Jean! 😃
Thanks a lot for sharing all the ideas!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Great content
Space is at a premium so sometimes you use what you have to make it work!
Look forward to each video 👍
Hello from Massachusetts USA
Tanks for the response to my comment.. Having lived in Johannessburg for 5 years as a teenage, your accent just brings back many great memories of the country. Please keep up the grear work be postive and stay healthy
Hi Jean. Greetings from a fan in Tasmania. Been following you for a few years now. Love your videos! Was wondering whether you’d consider making a teeshirt / jumper with “Okay Guys” as a print. I’d definitely buy that.
I'll have a chat with my brother who designs my shirts.
I've always loved your vids but this one is probably my favourite. Power tool storage has always been my most frustrating thing in the workshop, i will be using some of these ideas for sure!!
Awesome. There goes my weekend 😅
The videos where you go in without a plan, to my viewpoint, end up being your best videos. Huge fan! Keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍 👌 💪
I like how your large speed square ended up with the tape. Thats real life right there.
Love the simplicity
Wow, I admire how your brain works. What a great organized workspace.
As always AWESOME! Thank you kind Sir.
Hey, keeping it simple is good. It's efficient, it costs less and does the job just fine. I will probably "leverage" your design for my garage!
Excellent advice, thank you.
Very satisfying. Thanks!
Thanks. I am always interested in French cleat storage ideas.
The drill holder is my favourite, smart.
simple and brilliant
Brilliant job
Simple. Cheap. Practical. What's not to like?
Great job sir.
Thank you for your inspiration
One of the absolute BEST instructional videos on RUclips. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
love it! can't wait to get my shop organized! In the middle of that project now!
Not only a great vid for tool storage but a shopping list for all commonly used power tools too ! Brilliant !
GREAT episode, now I have lots of new ideas. THANK-YOU.
Definitely not over fancy, just perfect and easy to make.
Just the video I needed-my shop is almost finished and your ideas will be put to good use when I start organizing. Thank you!
As an absolute wood working beginner I appreciate your videos. Thank you
I like the jigsaw holder!
Very functional. I love it. I may finally ditch the old pegboard and go with this.
Very impressive.
So many good ideas here. Thanks!
Very nicely done. Great to watch and learn. Definitely inspiring to build and organize. Thanks
I think you have the best idea for tools I have ever seen.
U r awesome. I struggled for words of appreciation.
Beautiful! You've made good designs that fit all those different power tools. I love it.
Clean and neat and practical. Perfect!!
Much appreciated Wood Shop Junki, you have given me some great cheat sheet ideas for when I get around to doing this myself for the wood shop ! Thank you 😉
Your whole delivery has greatly improved, and helped me to connect with you. I knew we'd be mates first video, dude but I'm just saying your confidence and even clarity (which was always there) have visibly increased. Small shop stuff is my jam, so right on, man. Thanks.
I like this showcase of a number of variations and concepts that can be reused. You’ve not only solved problems in your shop. You’ve demonstrated ways others can solve problems for their own unique tools.
I love these small holders. I will be organizing my shop this summer and have been taking notes from your example. I love the belt sander attached to the wall too, so I'll have to go back and find that video. Please keep the videos coming, you are an inspiration.
Amazing work
These are really good ideas. Easy and simple doesnt get much better than that
Just needed a holder for the videos MVP. The pin nailer! Awesome video and love the tips. Thanks for sharing.
Your videos have convinced me I need to put in a cleat wall into my small shop!
I love these designs.
Really well thought out holders. The jigsaw and belt sander hopders are quite unique.
looks great and I will be coping some of these.
Pretty smart! Nice ideas well crafted too. Thanks
Great designs. Love the simplicity and especially the way they save wall space by pulling the tools away from the walls rather than up and down. We'll done and thank you for sharing
Brilliantly designed and perfect for the French cleat system…I thoroughly enjoy watching the things you come up with!! Keep it up!!
Another project I am going to "borrow"! Lol This allows for so many changes should it become necessary. Thanks and keep 'em coming.
I’m gonna be organizing mine very soon I love these holders very awesome 👏🏻
I always look forward to your videos they are always something interesting and are great ideas.
Thanks, I'll be using ideas from this
Nicely done sir!
That is such a handy wall. I'm making one!
Thanks for sharing these great ideas. I still need to make a slat wall for my new garage.
Great video. Thanks.
Excellent presentation and great results. wish my workshop looked like this.
Great designs that I am going to mimic in my own shop. I am grateful for your explanations about not only what you are doing, but why. That is such a great help to me!
Great ideas. Thanks for the video!
No needed to make it fancy, you did it functional and cheap, congratulations
great stuff. I will use these as inspiration for my shop storage.
Fantastic ideas. Super creative!
Brilliant!
Very much so, great way to store all these hand tools, I have to get busy making some of these holders.
Thanks for sharing 👍 I've learnt a lot from you today
Great tips. Thanks for video. For just what I've been searching.
Thanks boet, great ideas as i have a small shop
thank you.
i really needed this
Great tool storage ideas. My favorite is the jigsaw storage with blade in. I still have the case mine came in but it requires removing the blade, dust bag, etc to store the tool in it. Great holder idea. Thank you.
“Better looking”? I think they look great. Also, there is beauty in their “simplicity”. Designs that are really clean and simple looking, can sometimes be the ones that took the most cleverness to create.
It’s easy to over complicate things (I know, I’m an expert at that). These look clean, clever and practical. I like em!
Both my son and I think you did a great job. 😃
Fantastic video and sets of plans! Thanks!,,
Ingenious as always Jean, love you channel.
Great designs as usual!!!!
Excellent ideas. thank you.
Great work
this exactly what i was looking for esp scrap wood thank you
Lots of great ideas. Thanks.
Great video and thanks for the idea’s.
Great ideas! Simple and effective.👍
Great job, some excellent ideas for tool storage on the walls!
I remember an earlier video for your french cleat wall where you had a complicated spring-release mechanism for locking the cleats in place. I like the simplicity here of just using a small screw to keep the cleat from pulling away from the wall.
Great job ! It's Amazing
Excellent storage system. fascinating to watch watch Looking forward to setting it up in my shop
Excellent idea and design!
