I've always thought that Woody Allen was one of the first directors to honestly look at love with all its neurotic behaviors in the modern world. And he did it in a very humorous and clever way.

how is this guy even still respected after all the sexual abuse?
1. He groomed his victim to the point of Stockholm syndrome then married her. As a outsider looking in it's hard to justify feeling more outrage over a crime than the victim of said crime has expressed themselves.
2. Our society is ran by elitist pedophiles who sympathize with Allen. He gets good press.
3. In this age of apathy and unwillingness to empathize many people would rather continue to be entertained by Allen than hold him accountable. This news of Allen’s being a pedophile is just an inconvenience to their distraction filled life.
4. This is more of an undercurrent, but white privilege is also at work here. His victim is an Asian little girl/woman and white America believes that the only virtue worth protecting is that of dainty white variety.

Polansky is not the best man to be supported by. Still, if 2 people saying a person is a good person doesn't mean that person automatically is a good person, then 1 person saying he is not doesn't make him a pedo either. Fortuna, that seems to be as close as they let me. supporting tuna, for....tuna. It comes in a tin. you open the tin with eventuality and inside, the tin, underneath the thin silver coloured lid, is tuna. it's tuna in a tin and it's a great wealth, to a hungry man that is, a great fortune of tuna. you can spoon it out onto a plate or eat it right there from the tin. what a find. flakes of tuna perhaps in brine or an oil of some kind. that seems to be as close as I get, for....tuna. supporting tuna. well done. I don't actually say well done. I feel it. as I'm eating, from the tin, with a fork, I found in the sink with all the other cutlery in the building. well done, I feel, as i fork as much tuna into me as i can. It certainly is about as close as I am let. there are more positivities to living than financial fortune. there have to be. if there wasn't I would probably be thinking this eating tuna from a tin with a dirty fork from an unknown amount of other dirty forks is depressing. I would be thinking is this it? me, alone, no career ever, no money ever, no friends, no education, simply my spirit, that has carried me everywhere I have ever been, being extinguished before, before a sad tin of tuna. it's not much. but hope remains. It certainly isn't much at all. Maybe it's about all my type of person deserves. I mean who am I? nobody, never have been. still, we have hope. hope is something we must all have else such a scene as standing in a room alone late at night holding a lone tin of tuna would seem depressing. life goes on. we know this. at least, we learn this. broken bones, chipped egos, but life goes on.
