@@kenzalazrak3964 I did too at first but I was playing it through a speaker while listening to the whole album. Maybe if you play it through headphones and open your mind you might like it. If you try to listen to it again and have the mindset “this is really weird” then you won’t be able to enjoy it. Just some advice from someone who also didn’t initially like it!
It definitely left me with questions for myself. When I heard it the first time after the live, if I would’ve been standing up I probably would have sat down. Shit was heavy 🖤
I always come back to Phantom Regret whenever I'm starting to feel angry or sad. His voice is soooo comforting. It feels like a father is talking to me
Less than zero is such a great a song. It sounds like something that will be played on the end credits of a 80's movie. It's like a Save Your Tears Jr. And of course Jim Carrey killed it in phantom regret. It's so scary and relieving at the same time. Chapter 3 will be crazier🌅
Not really a song, maybe as the epilogue, because it's more of a poem recited by Jim Carrey, but still it shapes the album beautifully, concluding it in a mesmerising way💞
Less Than Zero was personally my favorite track on the album, easy 10/10 for me. I loved Save Your Tears on After Hours and Less Than Zero felt like an improved version of Save Your Tears in my opinion, so I loved it
Less Than Zero is definitely a top 3 for me. God I love this song, cuz I can't get it outta my head. From the sad heartwrenching lyrics to the upbeat, peaceful rhythm. To me this song encapsulates the feeling of freeing yourself from all your regrets and accepting things for how they are... as you finally let yourself move on
Less than Zero is the hidden treasure, for me, it’s the most comforting song ever, nostalgic and magical, beautiful 🤍🤍🤍 his chorus is so fulfilling bro I’m so in love with this song, just painfully pleasant. bittersweet just like life.
Phantom Regret strikes a chord in a way that no other songs or tracks from any other album has been able to. I know a lot of people think Jim has gotten a little crazy as he's gotten older, but he knows EXACTLY what he's talking about when it comes to life and what it all means. I've listened to the track 100 times, and I still at least tear up every time. It makes me scared but also feel at peace at the same time somehow.
Everyone keeps talking about the next album... guys, it won't be out for at least 1.5-2 years which is how long Abel waits in between albums. With Abel, there is ALWAYS another album on the horizon, he literally said in his remix of Drunk in Love that he's going to be dropping albums forever (in his words, " All I wanna do is go on tour and drop albums, and if I live forever, probably drop 100,000" so basically he will always make music). However everyone already hyping up ch. 8 as if we're getting it anytime soon is wild. Appreciate what we have now
Since we know it’s coming, and relatively soon, why wouldn’t it be wondered about? Especially since it’s part of a trilogy. I think you can wholly appreciate every aspect of this album and the storyline, while still being curious and excited about the next album and the continuation of the story Abel is telling.
Abel knows when to drop a album I kinda started getting a little bored with the music that was available don’t get me wrong they are great but when that started happening Dawn FM was released which hyped me up again so he’s doing something great! 😃
The acoustic guitar for the last 4 bars is not only a transition, it’s a hint toward part 3 “After Life”. The light, natural sound of the acoustic guitar symbolizes the reunification with the universe and nature, Heaven. Jim finally pushed him through the door. I bet After Life is a whole new lighter and more organic sound, way less synth and processing. That’s just my guess. This album is a 8.75 to me.
They might even due a quad/extra long album release because his "sins" Paradiso, Purgatorio, Inferno 4444444444 only remember 4 If he "The Weeknd" still carries regret and his sins need to be burned if he goes with this theme expect Blinding Light of Hell before the clarity of Heaven. At 12:21… if you listen to The Weeknd’s vocals in the background, he says “Take back my life”… and when you watch the live stream during this part, he lifts his hands up and looks up to the sky (toward Heaven and/or God). 🙌🏼 Powerful 😭
Bro, this is the best reaction video for the track “phantom regret by Jim”. The way you explained every line and your genuine reaction gave me goosebumps. This track really is a masterpiece and the way jim narrated it made everyone cry. The best and finest way of ending the album.
