Car is beautiful...system is awsome i have a Rockville 16 db on 3 kicker cvrs wired to 1.7 on multi meter and ita a dam good amp for price I can float a paper reseatin window...but I bet that rockville destroyer 12 slams low
If it ever blows, it means something went wrong. Replacing a fuse is a lot easier than repairing the clump of melted and shorted out wires if you don't have a fuse or fusible link.
nice build. i like the amp rack and box. you will need to add another battery or upgrade to lithium. dont starve the amplifier of current last thing you want is a blown amp or blown amp and sub
Thanks Rowboyto for watching! Thanks for shout out on build it's still slamming. I've considered a battery especially cause I will be installing a 2nd Destroyer.
That depends on the CCA/battery size. A small compact car would need another battery or big 3. Full size or diesels with 2 batteries are fine. The crown Vic is full size and would have been ok. But, with that said I could have experience dimming lights which I wanted to avoid. Running the big 3 is another $30-50 and we’ll worth it.
@@OperationRV I have a 5.3 Tahoe with a new Duralast battery. Had 810 cranking amps and 100 reserve capacity. I planned on running my 0 gauge positive and ground to the positive and negative top terminals on the battery while the normal positive and negative side termanls are being used by the factory wires from the truck.
I hate that majority of amps lie about their power. Especially Rockville. The DB16 says 8000w but it only puts out 1750rms @ 2ohm. I guess if they were truthful about the true wattage their sales would be in the dumps.
Yes, this is a stock P-71 alternator which is larger than the pedestrian crown Victoria, the battery is just this single one. I highly recommend the Big 3.
I no this vid old and you allready have this info but I'ma give my input any way it's like going from a 2lane highway to a 4lane highway.and your electric is the traffic going through your system with 0/1awg
Just curious... Why did you put 8000 watts in the title? Click bait? I'm not trying to troll or anything. But I'm pretty sure Rockville doesn't have anything that can get close to that. (Unless it's a multi amp/sub build) Your install and wire upgrade is nicely done. There are many other budget audio that will provide better for you. I myself use Audiopipe. (Which has been great for me) But in my opinion, Rockville is like Lanzar Vibe or Boss. Big DWiz or Budget Gem or Budget Bust channel's are great for seeing an amp's capable power. Great luck in the future and I hope your car comes out awesome! Nice start already.
The rockville db16 is 8000 watt max at 2 ohm! 2000 watt rms at 2 ohm. Hes definitely NOT clickbating! If anything rockville is exaggerating thier amp but thats exactly what the manual says!!!
@@joncrazy4132 That's what a lot of cheap audio places do. Put some crazy number the amp could never do. Just look up an amp Dyno on it and you'll know what it can really do. I was just trying to help him know what he's really doing. You think a boss 4k does 4k? It's just marketing to get sells. And take advantage of people that don't know they do that crap.
You would be better off getting sundown audio U Series subs asap. Hell those subs you got can not take even 500 true rms rockville as a company fail on numerous try's from the past 3 yrs and counting. All ending up subs smoke out aka burnt coils
I explored that route before getting these due to Sundown being more expensive lineup. Sundowns are definitely elite. Rockville Warranty is great too. Hopefully I can get my setup tested soon to show results and soon will be hanging 2 destroyers. Thanks for watching and Comment.
Dual makes the deck I have one. I can see how that could be confusing. There junk I'll never buy one. But I have 2 strapped db16s they are not nice to subs.
I had a dual radio with android auto and apple carplay and all that and it was a freaking awesome radio android auto worked great and it played everything clean.. of course my doors and my subs were all goin through amps but I never had any problems or complaints with that dual in particular
Although I can see your point here, Rockville quality compared to their rivals while comparing the price cannot be beat. Like many, Rockville has warranty’s and have seen newly received subs because of an issue back that up. Kenwood is amazing and been around forever, Rockville seems to stand next to their competition very proudly. Thanks for watching and please Subscribe!
Very clean wiring! 😊

Question why fuse the batt to alternator

Have you clamped it, how many watts is it actually pushing or holding

Why didn’t the battery terminals fit?
I’m not sure what you are referring to.
I have the same sun and amp. Does it have to be attached to the alternator or was that just preference?
