Beautiful voices, lovely song and lovely family as well. Daughter Tulsi is perhaps the most amazing, most talented and well rounded woman I’ve known…although I don’t know her personally. She transcends politics, and I’d vote for her no matter what party affiliation.
Aloha e Deborah... thanks for reaching out and for your kind comment. I’m so glad the “Hawai'i Aloha” video could give you a glimpse of Hawai'i’s heart and soul. Much aloha to you, my friend.
Deborah my regret was my mom couldn't visit the Hawaiian islands she died of liver cancer in 2019 never give up if it's gods grace for you to visit the Hawaiian islands it will be so
I'm sorry for your loss, and I wish your Mom could've visited Hawaii. Thank you for your encouragement, and I know that you're right about God's grace making a way If it's His will for me. I appreciate the reminder, and God bless you!
I am a hindu from india and tulsi gabbar has millions of people here who treat her as their elder sister. Mike you don't know how powerful your daughter is 😊😊😊👍
i first visited Hawaii in 1957 at age sixteen, returning twice during the 1950s and for good--so to speak--in 1869 to attend UH Grad School and then to work at the Army Corps of Engineers for 26 years. So many good friends and memories. Love the music. I recall singing this in church.
Wow... Just wow. So this is where Tulsi comes from. No wonder Divine Light shines forth from her. Thank you Senator Mike Gabbard for sharing this with us.
This song, the way it's presented here, makes me feel exaltation in God, and increases my gratitude for the land in which I've been blessed to live, New Zealand, also a Pacific Island; and for the aloha/aroha which is possible among human beings, if we simply want it.

My wife and I have been to Hawaii six times and planning a 7th trip. Aside from the beauty of the Islands, the people that we have met made our trips even more perfect. Their love of the land and their culture is an example of how we all should be. I listen and watch this video EVERY morning to give me the "Aloha Spirit " that we get when there. Beautiful song and beautifully done.. Thank you
It’s reminds me at bit like how Greenlanders sings with the speed and how generally with a lot of souls too. Thank you for sharing. We have an orchestra called Vaigat orchestra with a song with the title Nuna Hawaii it’s a song how a man he thinks how beautiful Hawaii is with fine slowly dancers and how the waves slowly blows to the beach too. The Vaigat Orchestra was from my birth town a coal mining city on Disko island on the western coast of Greenland 🇬🇱 Amma from Vanløse in Denmark 🇩🇰
This song touched my heard and soul. Simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing this incredible piece of Hawaiian heritage. Sometimes you don’t have to understand the language to understand it.
I always wished I could go to Hawaii, but as time goes by it seems unlikely. However, after finding this song, I just close my eyes, listen to smoothness of the melody, the peacefulness of the words, leaving me with the feeling 'I've just been there.' Thank you so much and God Bless.
Love this beautiful song, play it every day! I miss Hawaii all the time. Even I am not a Hawaiian, I have visit these paradise islands several times, every time it's harder and harder to leave... You are really lucky people, you who were born there and live there! Thank you senator, for this very beautiful version!
I have now sent your song to all my international Friends on Facebook, so the peaceful message from you can be seen in many countries. Aloha for all, Aloha for the World.

Beautiful song Mike. I don't know if you remember me. I used to be the Director of Wellness & Lifestyle Medicine and Nutritional Services at Castle Medical Center. Also had a weekly radio show with Dr. Terry Shintani called Nutrition and You on KWAI Radio. I used to eat often at Down To Earth Natural Foods and Market on King Street in Honolulu. I believe you ran the restaurants/cafes at that time if I am correct. I am proud of your daughter Tulsi and her accomplishments in life and her patriotism to our country. With Warmest Aloha, Dr. John Westerdahl, PhD, MPH, RDN
Aloha e Doc...of course I remember you. Mahalo for reconnecting. Yes, we used to own and run The Natural Deli inside DTE from 1988-1992. Hope you and your ohana are well.
