- This game was played in Kolkata at the Gariahat Chess Club under the flyover! With cars moving around and utter chaos off the board, it was but natural to create the chaos over the board as well!
Samay Raina was up against one of the strongest players of the Gariahat Chess Club Laalu Da! And what a game this was. We have IM Sagar Shah doing the commentary which explains you the entire game in depth.

Let me tell you the history of this club as a daily passenger.
You all are seeing these cemented roofs, lighting, marble tables and all no, nothing was there even 2 years ago. I saw them for 6 years. They used to bring their chessboards, and keep them on the barricades(we have wide barricades for the spaces below a flyover) and sit there and play. They used to play everyday throughout afternoon and evening. There were no arrangements, just a few enthusiastic men and some chessboards. Once even two chess boards flew away due to a highly speeding car and we got to see a crazy fight lol.
The Kolkata Police took notice of this growing community there, and decided to renovate the area. It was basically the foundation ground for the Flyover above. They installed the shades and tables and the transparent barricades which you could see here. After some months, the naming was done and the lights were installed. This gives what it is now.
I remember they started with 6 players, who were basically the drivers of the officers who parked their car in that area.
Feels good to hear such stories :)

I feel this is gonna be exciting as India is striving for a win as well as England. Basically, both teams will give their best. Please note that if this game ends in a draw, there will be no super over. And, drawing this match would mean Anish would be the man of the match!!!! Okay and Virat has won the toss and had chosen to bat. Well well well I think this was the perfect decision from him.

And Virat has hit really hard on the longoff and asks Hardik for another run! Will he take the run? Oh he takes it! He takes it! Oh my god, the tables are turning! But will he take another one? Yess the third run and Virat completes his century!!! Congratulations! Now there is a forced sixer in 8 balls. Oh he hits it now! Why to wait 7 balls for it? Now I see many attacking chances for India. There is too much pressure on the English bowlers. This is brutal for England.

23. Ng5...would have paralyzed the black kingside; both rooks, the knight and the king would have been stuck in their places. White could then push back on black queenside and crack it open to advantage.

A better move than capturing the rook sacrifice with the pawn would be to first play g7, giving a check and forcing king in front of the rook and then capturing it.. that move kills any counter play of black.. also when white played h4.. black should have played h6 kicking the bishop away and stopping h6.. the pawn is just deadly
