The 22 and 23 models have a ZT 3200 hydros. They have labeled it a commercial mower. Gots duel tanks now. I know I just bought one. Mine is a 2023 model. 7916.00 out the door price.
I just found this unit in my endless search. Honest thoughts? This wasn't my first choice, I am really looking for something with a good suspension due to a very bad back and a neck surgery.
@@Delmarksman I hear you brother. I got bad knees. I don't think there's anything rong with a Hustler Fas trak. I've done a lot of research on zero turn mowers lately. The only mower I think would be best for riding comfort is a WRIGHT. ZXT I think it's called. It's 35000.00 dollars before tax. As much as I would like to own one it's just to much.
I have an SD, I use it for a small lawn care business. I mow about 15 yards per week. I've put 260 hours on it in just under 2 seasons. I do want to move up to a more commercial machine in the future, but many of my yards have gates that only allow a 42" deck, so at this point, my next mower can't be a hustler. The only commercial mower I know of that is offered with a 42" is a bad boy maverick hd. I would like to test out a rear discharge deck. But many of my yards grow to 12" or so between cuts, then get cut to 3"...so it might struggle with the taller grass in many of the yards I mow. I already have to go back over some areas with the deck raised on some of my yards with the SD.
Unfortunately the only smaller deck commercial mowers that Hustler currently has are stand on models. Is there a reason why you are letting the yards get 12" in-between mowings? If you are running a lawn care business, you should be mowing every yard weekly. If the customer doesn't like that, then tell them you will mow every other week but it will cost twice as much. Mowing tall grass is very hard on your equipment, takes 2 or 3 times as long to mow, is bad for the grass health, and looks bad when you are done. We ran a lawn care business for years, and sometimes its better to just let a customer go then cause excessive wear and tear on your equipment and waste more of your time just because they want to save a few bucks. Don't be the cheapest guy in town, be the best, you will get ahead faster!
My Hustler Fastrak 48 has a Honda GXV 610 engine that has less than 100 hours. It starves for fuel when it gets hot and quits running. The air cleaner can't be removed to service the carburetor because the steel square nuts spin inside the plastic fan cover and there's no way to put a wrench on them without destorying the fan cover. Honda used to build quality products, now they build plastic disposable junk.
I have owned this mower for 4 years. I has surpassed my expectations. Extremely reliable.
I just did a oil change, i use a 20-W50. my new 2022 fastrak has a duel gas tank. 8.5 gal capacity, it really help a lot.
