These two albums Apex and Abyss are my go to whenever I want an energy boost, and The Wind that Shapes the Land is one of my alltime favorite tracks. Cool concept albums, and incredible talent.

Glad you made it! My personal favorite song off of Apex. Great way to close the album. Love the Iron Maiden vibes, the melodic riff over the gallops remind me a lot of Run To The Hills mashed up with The Trooper. Probably the most blatant Maiden-ripoff sounding track they have, but hey, imitation is the best form of flattery and they do it really well.
And, my personal opinion, as good of an album as Apex is, Abyss is even better. Continues and concludes the storyline of the Immortal and the Matriarch, and honestly there's a lot less filler and more diversity on Abyss than there is here (echoing your comment on how same-y a lot of the tracks on this album sound in retrospect). I won't spoil the sound of any of the songs on that album for you, just know that there's a lot more depth and breadth of sound present on that album.

I think this was my favorite from the entire album.

So happy to watch you experience the masterpiece of an album that is Apex! Truly one of the best metal albums, and Abyss follows it, and maybe even surpasses it! Really hope you do this again with the Abyss album, but as a little break in between you should check out Test your Metal and Northwest passage! Great job, love the reactions!

    Hey there!
I thoroughly enjoyed you going through the whole album. As I personally enjoy listening to albums, instead of single songs, this content resonates with me.
Unfortunately, this does not seem to create many views. Maybe an album review can be done in one video?
Anyway, I would appreciate you continuing with Abyss and Phantoma and getting your opinion on the progression of their sound.
And to contrast, General of the dark Army and Despair are two amazing older tracks which you would probably enjoy :)
    Cheers!

Saw them a couple months ago opening their new album tour. 2 albums later they are still ending their show with this tune and it makes sense. It's just that iconic. Andrew forgot to hit his pedal for the last clean part so we got about 1.5 seconds of noisiness before they ended on the clean part. Was pretty funny! Glad you liked it.

If you want to listen to a short one, their EP Explorers is only two songs, but really showcases Britney’s voice in my opinion. And definitely listen to Abyss, killer album from start to finish (with a little more song to song variation)

Best song on the album, just an absolute journey of a song

Kinda have to listen to the albums in a pairing to get why apex is the last song on this album.
Amazing series! Don’t forget to make a playlist!

With UTA you found something special. I love all of their tracks.
But you should check out another band, different to UTA, but also skilled in their art.
Talking about Indian Folk Metal, the bands name is BLOODYWOOD and best song to start with is AAJ.
Music wise it is a mix of traditional Indian instruments with a kind of Nu Metal and Indian singing, shouting.
Also all of their songs are touching topics like animal welfare, depression, se... abuse and a lot more. These guys produce themselves but did play on Wacken as Nigthwish did.
You really should check them out if you want a "blew me away" experience as you had with UTA with the awakening video 😊
