I brought the idea of air bending the air out of someone’s lungs to my friends back in spanish class a long time ago, they called me dumb and said that would never work… all of them can suck it
I think an open world avatar game where you can make your own character and being able to choose your own bending and story would be so cool.
Then u got someone like me. I'm going to bring balance by making them all go against me..

I think the perfect studio to make it is Sucker Punch. They already did an element-ish game with Infamous, and Ghost of Tsushima has amazing combat styles and proper techniques

I was hoping it would get Aang DLC. And options to play as the other characters like Toph and Katara. It's a shame it didn't sell.

there's lots of solid ideas there, they just didn't allow it enough Dev time to fully cook.
The only avatar game I played was the one where you were Toph and you fought everyone in Earth Rumble 6 that game was fire I don't remember much of it but it was fun
God DAMN. The original style cutscenes, the references to past seasons, a compelling **NEW** STORY as opposed to a retelling, the Naga section, and the music to boot… and oh my god the hack and slash gameplay with ACTUALLY unique fighting styles (earth being slow, fire being fast, etc)
I gotta say, the Avatar series delivers again and again and again and I’m so invested already in this story, it could be a brand new season.
I do like the idea of the chi-blockers not just disbanding after Amon

Thank you for being someone who finally doesn't just bash and shit on Korra to the ends of the earth. Crazy because I remember watching it week to week and everybody loved it. Then suddenly a few years after it ended a huge wave of toxic fans started spreading tons and tons of hate, mostly because it's a completely different show from TLAB. Yeah it had a few things that weren't perfect, mostly because Nickelodeon imposed so many things on them, but they were pushing the boundaries of what was allowed in a Nickelodeon show so much. Rewatched both series and it's just crazy to hear people say it's garbage.

Korra is bad because they did not travel the world like aang did, korra was hard headed, korra constantly got her azz beat, the relationship she had between the 2 brothers was weird, the show wasn’t funny, korra got all the previous avatar’s memories erased, the show had a dark avatar which was dumb, energy beam clashes, bro the list goes on and on.
@@mucumuc I can excuse korra being hot headed since Avatars do have different personalities and it's refreshing to see someone that's hotheaded be able to do water bending. Not every Avatar needs to be calm like Aang.
There is still some stuff about the show which I don't like but I won't put it here since it can be discussed elsewhere.
I remember everyone hating this show when it came out actually. If anything it got better
i have beaten this game twice its very hard when u get to asami fathers robot you also loose your bending at a certain point anyway its a cool game 8/10 for me

Honestly loving how people are loving this game, now. when i saw the trailer for it i was pumpued and tried downloading the demo but then it got taken out later. i found videos about then later and i was suprised people didnt like it. Well, its defintely better than the previous one. I'll confidently say that
People had way too high of an expectation for this game because it was an Avatar The Last Air Bender related game made by Platinum Games.
It's only supposed to be a short PSN and XBLA game.

If you spam all the back triggers and press L3 R3 you can unlock all the bendings from the beginning if you do it in game

I bought this game the day it came out when I was 14 and 100%ed it shortly after. It is really fun but this game could have been a truly magnificent if they put more content in it or even other characters. The one major problem I had with this game is that they essentially made the elements more powerful the later you unlock them. So water and earth were pretty much useless once you had fire and especially air. I think they at least should have implemented some way to increase the power of a specific element to fit you playstyle better (+ more combos for all elements would have been amazing too).
This style of game though, is exactly what the avatar universe needs imo. A game that is mostly about fighting and is telling a very simple straightforward short story. A massive open world is obviously a dream but I think it hasnt been done till now because developing it would take so long and cost so much theyre not even sure itll be worth it in the end and tbf I cant blame them.

The first game I ever completed. It was so awesome the final boss was hard as hell!! But the QTE after the fight was amazing. I wish we could have gotten another after the series ended. It would have been one of the greatest games ever
It would be cool if Cyberconnect2 made an Avatar The Last Airbender semi-open world action RPG game with quick time events like the Naruto Storm games.

I remember watching playthroughs of this game as a kid and being absolutely mesmerized. After the new avatar game dropped, the disappointment unlocked my gamer state and I remembered this game. I was so sad to find out I can’t get it on PS5 because it’s honestly so amazing

This game had a lot of potential. Had the maps be more populated and diverse with some elemental puzzles here and there, it would've been a perfect game. The world of Avatar can EASILY give us a game that can be something on the levels of Darksiders II, huge maps, ancient ruins, beat-em-up/Hack-n-slash combat... If the game had more love and care, it would've been fantastic.
I also like that even when Korra was without bending, they had the bending movements work quite well on her melee combat.
I have this game downloaded on my Xbox. It was mindless fun.

The Korra series was not as good as the Last Air Bender but no sequel show ever is. They did make questionable decisions in the story but they also made a lot of great decisions Pro Bending, The division and relationship of non-benders and benders, and how that affects people's lives not to mention the best sub-bending class of all Lava Bending. After all, Iroh took almost 600 days to break through one wall and that cost him so many troops that after his son died he realized there would be no end in sight for the siege and he retreated, even Azula had to have a special drill machine to make a small hole in one wall and Ghazan took one down in seconds (I know it was an Inner wall and not an Outer Wall but in every air shot I have seen the inner walls were just as thick as the outer wall), then he destroyed an entire air temple solo. Also, the Live action show was TRASH the Casting was excelent and the graphics were far better than the movies but all the changes and virtue-signaling essentially made the whole thing a different story that somewhat resembles the original. They even blended several parts of season 2 into season one. I understand trimming the fat on some side stories but still wanting to introduce memorable characters like Jet but the removal of Roku for Kyoshi, The Tale of Two Lovers now switched to two women, and the removal of all romance between Aang and Katara. Not to mention 20+ other story changes that have no point except to pander to current ideology and directly removes the character from many of the characters which leads to a robotic delivery that often looks like several conversations poorly edited together making the overall show disappointing. It was not made for the fans of the original cartoon it was made to cash in on the cartoon's Name and Pander to audiences today in hopes of getting a second season.
10 years later, I still like the idea of a hack n slash Avatar game like this one, just a little more depth and complexity .
Perhaps a progression system with a world that is more explorative.
The Avatar world is so realized and interesting, getting the chance to explore all those locations would be a dream.
I own the game on Xbox, it's pretty good. I loved the LOK series to. The game had it's pros and cons, but overall, it's pretty fun.

i saw the first two seasons when they happened and i liked them. for some reason i fell off and heard it got rough and stayed away till now. the live action made me go watch korra to feel some better content and it was! i was happy with its season 3 are you kidding me. unique benders and crazy action scenes. and season 4 had some good points to it and i can be happy with the send off into the spirit world.
A spinoff where benders fights the monters in avatars' world would be cool.
I'd love if this got a re release . The game for what it was Platinum did a pretty good job with the budget they where given. With all the notice ATLA's been given with the Netflix "remake" and the film in 2025, a re release would be nice

With digital only, it's only a matter of time until that license runs out, and you can literally never play it under normal circumstances.
