Area Given Polynomial Sides

Learn how to find the area of a rectangle and a triangle given side lengths that are polynomials.
In this video, I give examples of finding the area of a triangle and the area of a rectangle. The side length of each of the shapes contain polynomials. A polynomial is a mathematical expression consisting of variables and coefficients, with the variables raised to non-negative integer powers.
Once you have the correct area formula all you do is plug the polynomial into the formula.
Area of a triangle = 1/2 base times height
Area rectangle = Length times width.
