I enjoy history from the 18th century. Since I'm really into classical music this time period really suits my fancy. I don't blame her for becoming a courtesan since I understand women didn't have many options for independence back then. Thank you for another stupendous episode.😁
Every night I listen to you. From somebody who needed to take sleeping pills, to being pill free, is amazing and it's all down to you and unfortunate ends. Keep up the great work.
Betty James ... she could of used her brain instead of her back to save lives.... now that would of been an amazing story and example for young folk.....
you are making history come alive. for me, learning about real individual’s lives is what history really is about (once you know the outline of events). there are various novels which are great at this, but this is fantastic. i do fell from your way of writing things up and narrating, the tensions and feelings of the lives. so anyway - thanks so much. :) 🌷🎭
history i did not know. you sounded fine. :) thanks for covering the history of France. we always hear about Britain, so this was brilliant. look forward to more. :) 🇫🇷
What a brave woman! No matter the hardships she carried on. I understand most of the narration. I just couldn't understand a couple names. Thank you for another great story!
What 'balls' she had! I salute this brave lady and I'm glad this story had a very happy ending; she died rich, was a true hero and she was well loved. What else can anybody ask for?
Juicy history...... the kind people really ought to hear more of. We need to know about the people that make the story. Definitely subscribing to this channel ‼️‼️Well done...👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️
Hey FL, I'm late, not been sleeping well, great video as always, I'm so sorry to hear your ill I hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself! P.s. Congrats on breaking 5K!! That's great! Keep up the good work.
That’s a marvelous film. When I began to listen to this story I instantly recognized it as the story of that film. The English subtitles are well done and the casting IMO is perfect, especially the scene where she hides the marquis between the feather mattresses of her own bed. (My German great-grandmother did the same thing in hiding a dissident from the soldiers in Berlin, Germany in the late 1800’s!) Talk about grace under fire!
*Very Well Done* This is a particularly worthy recollection of a "life of situations" that prove to reflect Empathy, Conscience, Personal Fortitude, Bravery, and Actions for the Wellbeing of Others". It is truly worthy of a book (which I'm assuming has been written) and it has the depth with variable subjects and situations that comprise the desired foundation necessary for a subsquent movie. These subject situations being so valuable in their realities that it would, without doubt, be a classic, given the necessary Achieved level Writers and Producers. An excellent choice for this Channel's presentation here. Very Well Done.

@@ForgottenLives LOLOLOLOL! So sorry! WOW, I guess I did. I've been so stuffed full of cold medicine for days. I'm not the brightest bulb just now. 🤣🤧 I feel stooooopid.

I usually love your vids, but wow, is this one a confused mess! For those interested in the life of Grace Elliott, there's an excellent French film about her life called "The Lady and the Duke," in its English dubbing.
I’ve heard of Grace Elliott but you brought her story to life in a way that makes me want to learn more about this amazing woman.

Its both beautifully directed and filmed. Grace had a brave serenity.
What a remarkable woman! Kudos to you for bringing her story (and many others) to life. :)
Thanks very much!!
She may not have been faithful to the men in her life, but she was a strong, brave woman to risk her life to save others during the revolution.
Betty James ... she could of used her brain instead of her back to save lives....

Betty James, sexual Fidelity is overrated. There are so many more important and worthy values.
