Farming before a boss fight is lava
I don't know if anybody ever explained it to him but it's driving me so crazy that I have to explain it here. The zero parts are held by the 3 mavericks that were talking to each other earlier in the cut scenes. They teleport into levels randomly during the level select screen. If you go into a level that has one of those mavericks and you find the secret entrance to their room, you will fight them. If you defeat them you get a zero part. If you go into a level that has one of them in it but you don't fight him then they will not go into any other levels and you lose your chance to get that 0 part. That's what happened to you, Mike. If you get all 3 parts then instead of fighting 0 you'll fight a combined version of all 3 of those mavericks.

Mike the capsules Dr light left behind. Dr Cain is the one who found X after Light Sealed him away in a hidden Lab. The psp version of X1 has a movie about it after you beat the game.

The best thing about Mega Man X 1, 2 and 3 is that you can remap the controls in the options menu. I always put dash on L or R
How in the hell do you not read what upgrade you just got? During the capsule that gives you the secret target finder you could have just read "you now have secret target finder" instead of spending 10 min being confused
My favorite from the X series.
The helmet obviously shows you secret locations and entrances... how could that possibly not be clear they even give you a 1up to demonstrate.
It scans the screen... god dammit I hope you get the fire dragon punch haha. When I see Matt get frustrated it stresses me out because it reminds me of myself getting stuck in games.

Why did you keep dying over and over on ostrich stage for no reason? And why didnt you get any of the armor upgrades and the dragon punch/shoryuken... I am very confused by this playthrough...

While MMX2 is among the better games in that franchise it is my least favorite from the X Legacy Collection 1. I don't know. I can play X or X3 all day long. But X2 does so many things in a confusing way. Also in-game logistics are kinda scrambled when you want to collect Zero's parts. And most of all things I hate that speeder section in the desert level.

Mega Man x2 is a decent addition to the series but.. Let me tell you why Mega Man x2 is fucking stupid. When you beat Mega Man X (X1) it says specifically "Those who sacrificed themselves for this victory will NEVER return". Obviously that's referring to Zero. So it's saying Zero will never return. Yet the entire object of the next game (X2) Is to rebuild Zero.. like wtf.. Continuity
