My son Mark Bates served in Northern Ireland, he wanted the army a his young life, the Royal Green Jackets was his life,still today he talks and lives the his time with the Regiment, the best Regiment in the world in .y oppinion3

@@popeclock yes he was a great corporal and person he actually took one of us recruits aside and rather than charge him punched his lights out green jacket way of doing things lol

I was not born a Green Jacket but through a miss direction,found myself in Winchester, best move I've ever made ,swift and bold till I croak

A very sad day, both my brothers were in the regiment ,Brian Williams Rifleman 3RGJ, and Bandsman Robbie Williams 2RGJ , RIP Robbie 💖
Very sad. So sorry to hear that. It was sad for me too: I was with my parents when I filmed this and both have subsequently died.
