      I never played any of the tellius games I can’t without emulators because of prices and I can’t emulate because I have no pc I know parts of the story but not the full games

      Faster/Skippable animations, improved/rebalanced difficulty (mainly Maniac being less spammy)
      (For a remaster I'd expect new voice over and improved graphics too)
      That's it - being slow to play and Maniac being unfun, Hard being too easy are my main gripes with FE9, aside from those I like the game and hope they won't touch the story and characters much or at all

      The GBA version of the original Shining Force had a cool idea, it gave bonus objectives for every battle, rewarding you with items or gold. That could be in FE, although that kind of already exists with villages to visit and green units to protect.

    One thing that I would add is have the Black Knight fight be its own mini-chapter/place an invisible checkpoint between it and the rest of the map so that if you fail against it (bad Luna RNG, etc.) you don't have to redo the entire map to get another try.

      Definitely wouldn't like this, it would pretty much destroy the whole idea of the fight. You as the player have to decide if you're strong enough and how much risk to take to beat the Black Knight or if retreating is the better option, essentially putting you in Ike's shoes at that moment. Adding a checkpoint or making it it's own map would take away all the tension and you could just keep attacking and hoping for the best until you finally win.

      @@gabrielemblem605 I know, but that's why you have to weigh the risk of attacking player phase and doing more damage but also receiving more damage and potentially dying with waiting to let him attack in enemy phase and playing it safe.
      I wouldn't mind them changing it up a little, like maybe being able to reorganize Mist's inventory right before the battle or doing something so that you're not immediately screwed if you didn't train Mist, but the main fight should stay the same and not be something that let's you reset right before the fight as often as you want until you win.

      @@nicoleramos5964 Skrimir wasn't in PoR either. I'm not sure they ever touch on that in RD either. It's kind of implied he was too young to join the fight just by him being in-training but that's about it.

    When Jill talks to her father and could possibly defect from your army is the scene I want fully voice acted. She's such a great character and this scene is the culmination of her development.

      If she talks to her father and DOES NOT have an A support with Mist or Lethe, she turns on you. Memory is a bit wonky but I think that's how it worked.

      I remember seeing that in a video and being blown away that they would even think of doing this. I felt the same way when Dorthy says “We killed Ferdie professor, he was our friend” after the battle in Blue Lions.

      I found that out by accident. Saw the "Talk" command on Shiharam and wondered what it did. After Jill defected, she killed my Muraim since I left a laguz lance in her inventory.

      @@MobiusLeader007 I also love how the game gives you little hints like, "Hey Ike, it would super suck if we made Jill fight her own father. Maybe we should leave her at base camp." But it doesn't come straight out with a pop-in tutorial window saying "Hey, certain characters might betray you."
      That's great game design in my opinion.

    The very existence of feral laguz was the devs admitting that the laguz mechanic just didn't work.
    I think they should implement a hybrid PoR/RD system as follows:
    - Keep the RD gauge and Transform/Untransform commands to add agency & strategic decision-making.
    - Keep the PoR stat modification formula. RD's approach of doubling stats made untransformed laguz so frail during the late-game they'd die immediately.
    - Let laguz attack while untransformed with kicks/punches (also during PP) so they are still useful, but add bonuses while transformed to incentivise transforming.
    I don't mind keeping the royal laguz OP in this game with permanent formshift because they're so rare. In RD though they needed rebalancing.

      I feel like modern FEs sticking to the good ol stone mechanic is the way to go. The meter makes no sense, I always stuck to a Demi Band and Royal Band. Give them a variety of attacks with different damages and accuracies. Or at the very lease, let the laguz initiate combat untransformed too.

    They could design blessed armor like they did in Awakening. Everyone could damage Grima, but only the Falchion is able to deal full damage.

      Yeah, i would also add that they are unable to actually kill the enemy, it would be like green units that only leave bosses with 1 HP, the only one that can actually kill is the user of a blessed weapon, so Ike

      @@angelovertim2360 I haven't played the game myself, but i guess that they should be able to do something like Chrom's Falchion in awakening, his sword is the only weapon that never breaks, Ike could have a similar thing going on for him making the lock kinda impossible

      I'd much rather have a remake of the radiant games, mainly because they're extremely hard to find and extremely expensive, while binding blade and blazing blade can easily be found and emulated.

      I would bet money that we’ll be getting remakes of the Elibe games before they remake the Ike Saga. A Binding Blade remake at least is a pretty safe bet IMO.

    Considering the Laguz were apparently designed by the goddess with power in mind (like the beorc with wisdom) I never really had a problem with extremely strong laguz having a sort of innate blessing and being able to damage Ashnard. That said, there very much needed to be a line or two about it.

      honestly, the only thing I would have to reluctantly agree with.
      Most people's ideas are bad like "drastically rework the BK fight so that you can have a save before it, nihil on both characters, and guarantee the victory for Ike so that it fits with the Radiant Dawn plot." For example.
      And this idea (transferrable skills) is a tough pill that could have unintended consequences. But at least I'm not totally opposed to it.

    Dump biorhythm. It's a mechanic that feels completely separated from every other aspect of the game. I don't like being punished by a constant upswing and downswing of hit and dodge percentages.
    Or tie it to story and supports. If you keep supported characters near each other have their biorhythm stay consistently high. If a story beat means a character is carrying an emotional burden (Jill fighting her dad) have their biorhythm stay low for the chapter. If characters die have the characters they were supported with have low biorhythm for the next chapter.

      I thought biorhythm was a neat concept overall but I can agree it does have negative effects on the gameplay. They just need some way for the player to control it, kind of like what they did in RD with the herons' "Bliss" galdr to raise a given unit's biorhythm. I think they could apply that to PoR as well, although preferably it would be something the player would get earlier because having to deal with biorhythm for the first 17 chapters before getting Reyson, with no way to change it, would be very tedious.
      I definitely agree with your point as well, tying it to the emotions of the characters through story and supports would be interesting and would make it much more predictable and controllable.

      Tying it to the story would make so much sense! I'd love that. I remember in my first playthrough of PoR, the battle after Shinon and Gatrie leave was actually pretty hard and desperate because I barely knew how to play without these two strong boys. But nowadays, it's a relatively easy chapter to do. Making all biorythm low in that map specifically would make sense and add a fixed challenge to it. Not sure if I want it to still affect accuracy though - less damage and dodge would be fine though.
      You could also use something like this to emphasize the relation between Beorc and Laguz, Laguz and Laguz and Beorc and Beorc. The game's story is about that anyway, so it'd make sense that Laguz would be less motivated to fight their berserk brothers as Tibarn would phrase it. Except ravens, they don't care, just going by Naesala. Beorc soldiers being afraid to fight Laguz would make sense too (for bandits and grunt soldiers at least) Or they'd be riled up and actually always have high biorythm against them in some extreme cases (like the militia of that one port town for example)

      I agree that biorhythm is completely uninteractive and therefore just seems like background noise. But I'd be hardpressed to say it has no ties to the story. Idk about your Jill, but my Jill had low Biorhythm on the chapter with her General Shiharim (sp?).

    7:50 3 Houses has just as much if not MORE dialogue than Path of Radience and it is all voice acted so I don't think there's a need to worry about the game being fully voiced . And PoR is one of theost beloved games so I think they go all out for it

      The problem is budget. 3 Houses was a main line game and received a full budget. A remake would almost certainly not have the same budget as a main line game (unless they're trying really hard to appease the Tellius fanboys). And entirely new voice acting for such a text heavy game would drain a lot of the budget. Don't get me wrong, I'm holding out hope because it would be awesome. But I would also understand if the studio said that it wasn't worth it in order to make the actual game itself viable.

      IS actually wanted to have an explorable base for POR but couldn't due to time and/or budget constraints so I could see them adding such a thing in a remake, though adding it as an option alongside the menu from the OG game would be the best way to do it.

      @@ericbot924 That's really weird to me, considering the Greil Mercenaries are constantly on the move in PoR. Would the base be different for almost every chapter? Like, in a Gallian castle one chapter, then on a ship the next, then in Begnion's temple the next? That would be really cool, but seems like a lot of development time. But if it was the same base at the beginning of each chapter, that would be extremely immersion-breaking.

    The only thing I really need in this hypothetical remake is... that it includes PoR and RD. The story needs to be complete, not just one half and the other one in a few years, and wait until the next console after the switch for a new entry in the series.

    I don't think Base conversations would be that big of a problem if it were to get voice acting, Echoes also kind of had base conversations and Three houses made conversations but for Every single character after every single Mission. I'd say it would be easier to make in all respect.
    Edit: of course Money would be the Main issue.

    I think a faithful remake with just the quality of life improvements of modern FE would result in a fine and clean cut remake. All it really needs is that,smoother graphics and gameplay improvements from Radiant Dawn which I'd say would solve the problems with Bonus EXP and Laguz.
    But if I were to answer what I want from it instead if what it needs would be indeed a half measured voice acting like how many rpgs nowadays are text heavy and do have their fair share of voice acting but not with every last word of dialogue.
    I personally don't think the difficulty outside of Maniac is that much of a problem that they need to address,but I guess I'd just say we should get a new Lunatic mode to replace Maniac and discard Easy Mode.
    What I also want is them to redesign the Black Knight so his duel with Ike doesn't so luck based and Ashnard so he isn't so invincible. Maybe make him a bit more like a team effort boss where you chip him down with all your units. That way you can actually bother seeing all the quotes.
    All in all and whatever the case,I'm totallly gonna be excited if we get a PoR Remake and I think it'd be so solid pretty simplify.
    A bonus thing I'd want would be me being bias in saying I just want Mist to have a bit more lines in the main story and actually have a support with Ike.

      Ehh, I don't know about that. Greg Chun is definitely an improvement, but I've never been a fan of his interpretation of Ike.
      His battle cries and grunts are fine, but when it's just plain dialogue, I feel like his voice doesn't fit the character at all. Which is weird, because his voice for Raz (Valkyria Chronicles 4) was pretty good, so I know he could do a better Ike.

      They just need better voice direction. Compare Three Houses to Heroes. In Heroes, most of the performances are toned down because it’s a mobile game, whereas Three Houses is a full release. In a PoR remake, I think Greg Chun will get to play a really good Ike.

    Optional solution to bonus experience: force you to spend it immediately after the battle. Then you can't save it up and make any unit OP.
    Also, I kind of assume this would use the three houses engine. I just don't think there's any way around that. They have it and it will save them time to reuse it. Sucks but at least it's "ok." Maybe they'll make some improvements to it.
    Also, solution to your blessed armor problem - simply give the characters that can damage it some special skill that indicates they can damage blessed armor. Easy. But I also kind of agree, it probably makes more sense to allow everyone to do a *little* damage to it.

    You know, I had a thought at work yesterday, and now I can't get the thought out of my head; What if instead of a remake, or rather alongside it, it's a Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn Manga/Movie/OVA/Anime? Both games lend themselves, perhaps more than many of the other games, to a continuing narrative told through other forms of media, and would probably sell really well in both NA and Japan. It's an avenue that would spark a new outlet for other games in the series, and hell other Nintendo games in general, to branch off of.
    And let's be honest, I want to see something like this come true. Not just for the inevitable memes it would generate, but the story itself is quite spectacular. If Nintendo did this, it would certainly be an interesting maneuver.

      I always reset the console or emulator to save cool or important characters witch unfortunately in PoR is almost all of them. The older games have more disposable characters.. I let two die in my last RD play through and they were both really good units and one was during the final boss.

      My last RD playthrough was on hard, Laura died in the snow castle chapter and Rafael died on last chapter.
      Every other death I reset or save state for, those two just happened way too close to the end.

      It's funny that Mangs throws shade like that at those games, yet tends to overlook that FE4's Battle Saves are much more busted assuming you have even a slight bit of forethought(not that you need to abuse them, FE4 is actually easier than both Turnwheel games).
      Also, there is a good reason for them- Fire Emblem maps can take the better part of an hour, and having to redo them after a mistake at the end is not actually satisfying or even "hard" but tedious. The turnwheel allowing you to bust through chapters without thinking properly is a problem, though.
      The Turnwheel and FE4's Battle Save have their benefits, but they are a bit too strong- either limit them to a much lower amount that stays low(those 3 chances the turnwheel started with? Keep those, and don't increase it ever) or maybe use a Battle Save system like Kaga did in Vestaria- being able to save every 5 turns makes it so you don't feel like you wasted a ton of time, yet lets the game actually be challenging(Vestaria is harder than 90% of all FE games) because you can't really abuse the system to just bruteforce your way through without thinking.

      As if we don't all reset the game if we lose a unit (unless it's an Iron Man run). Turnwheel is basically that but as a game mechanic. Personally, I don't mind Turnwheel too much but it needs some serious reworking so the game doesn't become a brute force simulator.

      I think if anything those themes are more relevant today. they basically write code-switching into the game with the beorc/human vs laguz/sub-human dichotomy, and yeah fetishization and slavery get taken to another level with the Soren reveal in Radiant Dawn.

    As for when they do get around to remaking Path of Radiance, here is what I would personally want them to do-
    -3 to 4 difficulty modes (Easy, Normal, Hard, Lunatic (hopefully better balanced than the Japan only Maniac mode))
    -New English voice work, especially with voiced narration (like in Radiant Dawn)
    -Redone pre-rendered cutscenes
    -Bring back the Radiant Dawn artist or the Shadows of Valentia artist
    -Make the fate of Rajaion less accidentally happy sounding
    -Quality of life improvements such as faster map only animations, reworked battle UI, and being able to skip enemy turns.
    -Skills reworked to resemble how they work in the 3DS and Switch era games
    -Forging inspired by Shadows of Valentia or Three Houses
    -Wyvern knights wield axes and gain lances upon promotion
    -Bow users are buffed to do 3x damage against fliers
    -Elincia's Amiti is buffed to be more like it is in Radiant Dawn
    -Considering the Devil Axe is capable of attacking as long as its added back in via hacking and only the map animations play, they must add in a fully complete version into the remake.
    -Laguz to be more like how they worked in Radiant Dawn or how the beasts worked in Fates
    -Post game campaign

    "even ike gets strong" what fire emblem doesn't have the MC balling out of control?
    Laguz were dumb because they get so little xp for a marginally useful unit. They basically stuff your roster with a bunch of starter paladins when by the time you get most of them you have a packed roster of maxed out recruits. When they actually are able to get decent xp from enemies they're way too weak to be useful so you either gimp your roster leveling them early or just ignore them the whole game.
    True with the blessed armor too. Was so weird to have Jill scream about killing Ashnard then she just does 0 damage and gets dropped. Also from a plot perspective what's stopping Ashnard and the Black Knight from just taking on the entire world solo since nothing can harm them?

      Roy is... okay. Lyn is shit. Eliwood is also okay. Hector is maybe above average. Eirika and Epharim aren't exactly special.

    Personally, I’d want the game to be a Tellius remake instead of just a PoR remake. Mainly because out of the games that people often think of for remakes (FE4+5, FE6+7, FE9+10), I feel like they’re the only ones that make sense to be remade as a pair.     I'd like to see cut concepts being implemented. Volke for example was supposed to have 5 supports and only one of them survived to the final game. Elincia used to have 7. A lot items in the code are completely unused, like S rank wind and fire tomes, member card and more.
    Blessed Armor doesn't make sense, since most of your characters wouldn't be able to do a single point of damage to BK anyway, while against Ashnard it's just tedious when most of your party becomes effectively useless.
    It really takes away from both of them - they're not intimidating because they're powerful, but because they have plot armor.

    It's what annoys me the most because it slows it so much.

    I would like more post game options. Maybe a randomize option after you beat the game with enemy characters and their weapons being swapped in different areas of the map. More bonus levels with beating the level difficulties. Also just like Radiant Dawn where you need to beat the game twice to unlock more dialogue and characters, there should be a reason to play through the same game two or more times.

    In terms of voice acting, I think that they should only voice act parts of the game that the players is nearly guaranteed to experience, like the main story and such, or voice act the really important moments, like in Persona 5

    Obviously we need an avatar, who can marry everyone, with children setup to be addd into radiant dawn.
    The avatar will by micaiah’s father/mother who lost their memories of ruling begnion, who joined Greil because, uh. They, uhmmmm. LOOK OVER THERE!
    In radiant dawn, they’ll join the dawn brigade at the prologue as a tier 3 unit, to help their daughter. Before in part 2 joining elencia, to uh, uh. Because they wanted to find a uh, renown female thief (heather).
    Than in part 3 they join the grail mercenaries to try to find micaiah again. And uh, jump between the mercs, dawn brigade and goeffery because warp powder. (Yes, not with warp powder, but because of warp powder).
    At the start of part 4, they auto level to level 20, before promoting to tier 4 (which only exists for the avatar, of course) and having access to all weapon types with SS rank, canto, a mount (that has no weapons effective against it) and cannot be targeted by spirits.
    I think these are great changes that would really bring the game up to modern standards
    NOTE: I do not want this. Although I half expect it. :|

    Path of Radiance is a game with a lot of self-respect. It doesn't use waifuism to sell the game; it's pretty divorced from sexual content as a whole. Waifuism has been utilized to expand the customer base and it's hard to go back on that at this point, but it would be really sad to see Path of Radiance go that route.

    As my first FE and my favorite I would be happy to see a remake of it but I think FE4 needs it a lot more and I'm also very interested in it's story but the giant maps and outdated graphics don't help.
    Here are things I want to see in a PoR remake aside the things Mangs want:
    - I want more cutscenes. Especially one for the duel between Ike and Black Knight (one before and one after the battle, the cutscene would change if you beat him or escape), before starting the final map against Ashnard and after beating him. I'm very surprised there isn't a single cutscene with Ashnard in PoR OG. And I would love if they were done by the guys who did the Awakening and Fates cutscenes.
    - I want a BGM Map selector. I want to select the music I want to hear while I'm playing a chapter or preparing my units. (This feature could be something unlocked after you beat the game once.)
    - I want an extra chapter where you control Ike and Mist's parents. It could be just a training chapter where you beat up a child Ike. Why do I want this you may ask... Well I just want to see how Ike's mother is like and I wouldn't mind a bit of fanservice where you control Greil and/or their mother for one chapter. It could be done right after the death of Greil and I think if done right it would add even more of an impact to this very important part of the story.
    - I want Volke to be voiced by David Hayter (Voice of Snake from MGS) Come on... I can't be the only one wanting Snake to tell me you need 50 gold to open a chest.
    - I want a special reward cutscene that can only be unlocked if you beat the game with everyone alive. That cutscene would show something related to Radiant Dawn. It could be Micaiah encountering child Sothe.

      Even SOV didnt have an avatar figure. The most apparent character addition in that game is on the villain side because of how barebones the villain roster is in Gaiden (so many throwaway generic knights and spooky mages) and the limited screentime the major villains got.

    I don't think divine pulse ruins FE in and of itself, but I agree that it isn't needed here, since the game drip feeds you new units, that are at least usable (though not amazing) when you get them (as opposed to the 3H method of introducing characters who COULD have been filler units, but are instead unceremoniously killed off, like that relative of Caspar).
    Mechanics wise I'd be ok with showing a bit of love to the mages in the game, mostly through forging changes (more than basic tomes forgeable, and prices more in line with physical weapons) and weapon exp boosts (GL using Rexbolt on anyone without some serious arms scroll usage, or some kinda strange grind)
    I'd be ok if they added in the cut weapons that exist in the randomizer.
    As for story stuff, I'd be ok if they made some changes/small additions with Radiant Dawn in mind.
    And yeah, DLC outweighing the game price is a bad look, especially for a console game.

    one thing i'm surprised no one.. probably ever thought about regarding a path of radiance remake is Battle Saves-
    cuz trying to perfect stats for some units for the radiant dawn transfer in path of radiance(without using hacked/or downloadable completed save files. disregard bonus exp, as this is more from a combat exp/max specific stat of a class guide perspective) is actually very.. tedious knowing you have to restart entire maps over.(i had to restart a lot of times just to get perfect rng levels for soren in ch 4.)

    Might be a stretch, maybe they'll bring back ideas from the unused beta content. I hope they make the BK vs Greil fight scene a tad bit longer so it's more intense.

    Agreed on all points. Especially the avatar part. Don't add a new character like Faye either who exists just to drool over the main lord. I might not buy the potential remake out of personal principle if they add an avatar.

    My least favourite part of PoR is how long it takes to get a varied roster. You don't have to bench anyone until chapter 10 where all of a sudden six units are instantly benched and the number grows so quickly. It'd be nice if they re-wrote events to give you units a bit earlier, since as it stands the first several chapters are less enjoyable to replay since the units are set.

    Great video! FE 9 and 10 are two of my favorites from the series, probably because of nostalgia. A lot of the problems described in path of radiance was fixed and Radiant Dawn. They could just use the battle save system from radiant Dawn which was not allowed in the hardest difficulty as an alternative to redo turns. I would personally like both games integrated together in one cartridge, with the ability to carry over benefits from having save data from the first game. I also would like the ability to add Ike’s father to be playable in the second play through if there was a way to add him without compromising the storyline.

    I'm a few months behind but I'm going to put my defense on the divine pulse / turn wheel being a good addition to the game. I might have this view as the first game I played was three houses and as such i got used to it. I feel like its a positive device as if i make one small mistake and my character takes an unlucky crit on a long mission I feel I wasted like a half hour because I feel compelled to play through the whole map again. And if im trying to get a strategy to work like i spent hours on chapter 15 trying to spare as many of the Laguz as possible and I just hated it. I will agree that three houses went overboard with how many of the charges they gave you and think the easiest solution is just to have it as an option when you pick difficulty.

The problem with games like Echoes, FE6 and Tellius is that you have all these units that you raised up but the main Lord MUST be the one to fight the final boss. Roy had to kill Iduun to get the best ending and Ike had to kill Ashera or she'd revive. Make it like FE3 where you SHOULD fight Medeus with Marth/Tiki, but nothing's stopping you from soloing him with Phina, or FE4 where you could roflstomp Julius with Julia or have your muggle characters scratch him to death.

    I'm really curious about the potential remake. Cause if it was true that it was supposed to release in 2020, on it's 15th anniversary, then it'd make sense if it were to get announced on the 20th here too (as it's the 16th anniversary for it already by then).
    But who knows, maybe if we do get remake announcements this year they'll be absolutely out of nowhere two months after their anniversary dates.. Really really hard to speculate about that.

    Mangs i think it would be a bad design choice to not include a devine pulse mechanic in newer fire emblem games. Because sometimes rng can be quite frustrating in fire emblem.
    They just have to balance it proberly!
    There are many ways you could balance it:
    1: Make a playtrough limitation! You are allowed to use it a set amount of times trough the whole playtrough. Loosing a map not resets used up pulses. This would stop players from mindlessly using this mechanic. Because they want to save it for tough maps.
    2: Reward the player for not using the mechanic. If they rebalance the bonus exp system, they may could reward the player with more exp/gold if he doesn't uses a devine pulse.
    3: Or my favorit. Just weaken the effect. Don't allow the player to rewind turns. But allow him to reroll the rng of singlr fights. If he get a frustrating 1% crit death. He can reroll the rng and skip the frustration. But he can't save himself from very bad mistakes. Because if the enemy unit has a high chance of killing the player unit, he likely still hits. Even if you give the player multiply uses of this pulse he could not play carelessly.

    So like I'm super torn on Avatars. On one hand they don't fit into the story well and usually have to have a pretty bland personality in order for it to be a self insert. On the other hand you have the replayability that adds a lot of enjoyment to it. My favorite avatar is Kris. You can choose you class from the get go and the stat choices you make feel extremely relevant, my only issue with Kris specifically is that some of the classes you choose are impossible to use at higher difficulties, like not just hard, impossible, there's certain maps you can't beat with your starting class.

      That certainly would explain why they can hurt Ashnard, but then it just creates another plot hole: Why can't other characters hit the exposed parts of the armor? Striking at the openings of an opponent's armor is hardly a secret technique; it's practically page 1 of "How to fight 101".
      I think Mangs is correct in that it was probably just a gameplay inclusion to help the player in case of a weak Ike, and they forgot to (or didn't bother to) justify it in the story.

    Mmmm you know would it be possible to have the animal characters have beastones (or something similar to those stones) like fates & awakening and maybe have a bar that once filled unlocks stats and/or a special actions but only for a limited amount of actions or turns then the bar is back to square one for another cycle

    If divine pulse should go, then so should "surprise reinforcements".
    Having to restart a mission because the game did a cheap shot is neither fun nor good game design.

    I agree with most of your points save for your critique of the Laguz's transformations. The Laguz start out with enormous power and the game would be far too easy if they had the ability to always remain transformed.

    I think the option of Bexp is ok..you dont HAVE to for instance make Jill a gamebreaker right away. You could limit yourself to 1 or 2 levels per chapter if you want..but I wouldn't want to limit options for other things like solo runs etc

    Would honestly love som more control over how my journey develops. I do not necessarily want PoR to go fullt down the Sacred Stones route with Skrimishes, non-story battles and such, but having the choice between different promotions have alway seemed like a great feature to me. Makes the second+ runthrough way more interesting.
    Would also love to have some post-game options.

    I really like the branching promotions from the newer games being implemented, with different stat gains, changes to growth rates and master skills that come with it. It would add replay value to the game with different ways to play the same characters.
    Also I think a sliding difficulty would be interesting. Like, you get 2 bars with 3 choices each within. The bars being enemy amount, and enemy stats. Then within you have easy, medium/normal, and hard (though the names should change). With easy choice on the enemy amount bar, you get less enemies, with normal you get the normal amount of enemies, and on hard, you get more enemies. With stats your choice affects the stats of the enemies.

    Agree on everything except partially the Laguz, I think it will take more than Olivi Grass to make them feel more "polished".
    Part of what makes Laguz so boring to me gameplay wise is how they only have a single attack option (excluding the kicks and punches which are enemy phase exclusive in RD), that can't be forged and limits everyone at 1 one range with the exception of Naesala.
    I think giving specifically only the Laguz their own combat arts could make them more varied while also further playing around with gauge managament, assuming they would drain from their gauge instead of HP or whatever. That way they could give them attacks with effects like cavalry effectiveness, brave attacks, high crit rate, etc instead of just the same move over and over again with no extras otherwise.

    If they add an avatar character, I'm going to be so mad. Kris just took away from Marth and added nothing. Robin is okay, but he's the only one I can stand. The reason we love Ike so much is because he almost emulates an avatar character without feeling fabricated.

      I detest Ike because he has a horrible personality and I can't relate to him at all and I love Kris for actually being customizable and serving the role as an audience surrogate, which actually helps me see why Marth is so admirable.

    I really hope they’d do away with the on map battle animations. It slows down the Tellius maps so freaking much and if I don’t play with animations on its mostly because I don’t want to wait watching all this shit
