The problem I have is how it's RNG... it'll spawn in for the day with one of 3 colours and only the black one does what you said. The other 2 just give you more time or change the order. Not bad either, but not worth the trouble. Also, it really depends on the restaurant. It would suck for the coffee, since they die from milk/sugar demands rather than difficult orders. If they have time to bring a flower (even the black one), then they would have had time to bring the milk they wanted.
Here's some stats i created at 4 am: In 13 sessions you've been playing with skizz on 17 different restaurants w/ session 5 being the only one without accident. Your current record is overtime day 5 and on average you survive 11.4 days. Love this series and i can't wait for next session
Plants are good if you can work them into your layout. They give 10% to all 3 patience stages, so it's not just 1 extra second, it's closer to 10 seconds total. Also it's a 2 tile radius.
Big tip for desks, I've started doing it in my rounds. If you get copy desk first - buy it. Trash the research desk, then next round you get a new blueprint of the research desk, put that into cabinet and copy the research, then next round you buy the copied research desk and upgrade the original research desk. Basically in 4-5 rounds, you will have every desk every time. You will need to be very heavy on calling people in to have enough money
You're definitely not getting all that done in 4-5 rounds... or do you mean 4-5 rounds after buying the copy desk? Even then, that's a hard ask. Day 1: No progress; Day 2: save the desk; Day 3: upgrade the desk; Day 4: best case scenario you get your copy desk (and trash your research desk); Day 5: Save and then copy a research desk; Day 6: Buy the copied desk and upgrade the original; Day 7: best case scenario you get the blueprint desk; Day 8: get the discount desk. That's the absolute minimum (ideal research luck) and assumes you can afford 40 coins on day 3, 120 coins on day 4, 40 more coins on day 6, 60 coins on day 7 and 120 coins on day 8. That's 380 coins total by day 8. Also, if you delay the copy desk (due to lack of funds or getting the wrong upgrade), then you're buying it on day 5 and the research desk won't appear on day 6, due to it being cosmetics. That turns into a 2 day delay. Seems like it's more of a "You'll have all your desks on day 10-11"... and you'll have little to nothing else due to money constraints.

You know, I wonder why he kept looking at the description of the calm painting, but then decide not to use it. Yeah, it does double the eating time, but they reduce that with the first tier of affordable, and he keeps over-exaggerating the eating time being a problem. It is nowhere near as much a problem as the patience for milk, etc.. EVERY single coffee round they have done has failed because of the milk/sugar, so doubling the patience for those things would be crazy beneficial. Also worth mentioning, they can remove it should they ever reach a point that they need to.

Bits my sister and I figured out on this game. Messes are actually centered on the customer rather than the table and chairs actually prevent the messes from forming, so if you go with health and safety, if you can funnel the customers to only walk over the chairs they'll never get slowed by the mess. There's no unit collision between customers like there is for players. In the case of coffee we have it set up so we're only making black with no sides and we're just waiting for the one where they shout out their orders to come up and the restaurant will run itself at that point. We actually went full bar tables because it's group sizes of 1-1. We have an absolute beast of a coffee machine built. Teleporters coming from each side of the chains. We just take turns hitting the button while the other runs through the balloons and giggles.
Maybe a helpful tip, do your researching, copying and discounting while you have your last guest waiting. Use their patience time to interact with the different desks so you don't get behind at the beginning of a day.
The relevant patience for the plants are: 1. waiting for a table while at a host stand or a coffee table (default 150s for 2 players) 2. waiting for their order to be taken (default 150s for 2 players) 3. waiting for their food (default 90s for 2 players) 4. waiting for the rest of their food (default 15s for 2 players) That means the plants are giving you 15s, 9s and 1.5s respectively for each of those. That's not bad. 1.5s of extra time to deliver the milk PER PLANT is nothing to sneeze at. And no, the plant doesn't reduce throughput of customers... unless the extra time is actually being used. That means it's only slower throughput if you would have otherwise lost. Note: There could come a time where you just can't fit the plants (with automation being almost complete), but in the meantime it wouldn't be bad.
Flower pots are OP. One of the only ways to guarantee a long run is to buy all the flower pots. Black flowers kick a customer out. You can get rid of all other equipment, and give a black flower to every table. You make no money though.
About "Individual Dining": For hotdogs I'd say it's a killer, as it increases effort for ketchup (manual and for automation). For other dishes I'd probably go individual dining.
Please just do salad! It can be fully automated with just a mixer and combiner, and if you keep it to the two starting options, it is so easy and quick. Fish isn't even remotely easy compared to something like salad! There is no point repeatedly doing coffee and fish if you want to get to the automation stage without a ton of failed attempts.
Tango, if you get any form of foot wear, you could set it between the milk and the wall and still be able to walk through it. It would give you a tiny shoe rack to catch yourself on for the top table. Obviously the trainers would be best because you could actually use them, but any she would get you the corner you need.
This may sound silly, but there are mods that could help you go further. One is a mod to put a "Restart Day" option in the menu, which you can choose when you see you're about to lose. There's also a "creative" mod that lets you spawn in whatever items you want. Yes, that would be "cheating" but you could put other restrictions on yourselves, like each of you can stand in only one square, or perform one type of action. I just know that you enjoy this game a lot but are frustrated by never getting to automation. I fully support changing the play mode to increase fun. We enjoy watching you, but I, at least, enjoy it more when you are having fun.
My understanding is you have two numbers, the number of groups of people so you will have seven sets of customers and the size of the group one to two people per group. You get the same number of groups but then only one customer per group 2:18:55 unless I misunderstanding
I know you don’t want major gameplay altering mods, but you may want the mod that makes the loading bay items be reusable. Getting any two items to start with is just the little push it takes to help hit automation. All you’re doing is not feeling like you’re wasting items you earned.

Blueprint desk isn't bad to start with, but what will you be hunting for as a top priority? Another desk to make into a copy desk... so just get the copy desk instead. It helps you get the full setup better than the copy desk, but you don't need the full setup to start getting good stuff. The copy desk will let you start a train of duplicates of what you need. If you find another desk, perfect - copy it and get your discount and blueprint desks. If you find a cabinet, amazing - copy and it and store/copy infinite items. If you haven't found either, oh well - you can still copy something else marginally useful. One thing to note though: You like to empty your cabinets every damned day. Don't. If you are just going to let the copy rot and then copy it again... then save that time and just leave the copy in the cabinet. It's not a huge amount of time, but if you're copying 4 items that you had left rot, then that's time for an extra ring or 2 instead.

I saw a comment on a previous vod and I think that when you start one restaurant and then don't finish/franchise it and instead pick it up where you left off in the next stream, you're mojo was lost and that increases the mistakes
He did fine with the milk but forgot he was mid-order for the top table. There was plenty of time to grab and serve the iced coffee had Tango remembered what was needed. No shade though, it happens.
I mean yeah, streaming is different from just playing the game. At least, if you're an attentive streamer, like Tango is. Just watch a let's play if you don't like people being distracted by their job
