I couldn't sleep last night because of this beautiful music... I played this at 3 AM 🌙
Wow!
Cool
Even ur music makes YOUR day
@@yaretzie.aguilarhernandez723 yea
I played the ballade of op. 118. Can you also record it?
This channel hasn’t even been around for a year and you have already generated more content than any other classical piano visualizing channel wow
I know right?!
Probably he is a professional pianist, his repertoire is huge. Probably he'll never reveal himself becuase of his discography sign
@@LucaBonato oof
@@LucaBonato what do these contracts consist of i doing really know how these things work?
@@LucaBonato he seemed pretty convinced to reveal himself some time ago, I think he could if he wanted to
Edit: typo
The counterpoint in the middle section is too beautiful in this piece.
Ye
Where?
@@kofiLjunggren start 2:20 and again at 3:28
Definitely - that voicing is super hard and Traum just totally nails it
What would the definition of a counterpoint be in this context?
Very beautiful indeed. I love the melody!
Me too :3
Who don't ?
This commenter is underrated. He is also godly at the keys
Finally, we need more of this. I'm playing Brahms' Op.117 No.2 and it is one of the best things I have ever done as a pianist.
All Brahms' late piano works are awesome.
I love his Op. 116-119! There are at least 8 pieces over the sets I need to learn 😂
Wow op 117 no 2 is so beatiful, please let me know when you are finished with it
@@nilskroehl Yes, I'm already done with it. Although you can always improve little details.
@@Ivan_1791 wow amazing, do you got any advice for beginning it? Have a good evening.
@@nilskroehl Try to identify the main phrases of the first section and give them a specific function or feeling. The whole piece is based upon the interval of a 2nd and a 4th, so try highlighting them. Once you know it a bit check a small bit and see what pedaling is going to give it the most consistency while not blending bad dissonances. For a piece like this is very important to identify all the layers, in this case you would have the melody, right hand filling, left hand filling and bass (at least in the first section); give each of those a character (for example make the bass sound as close as a bell as possible and make the melody as smooth as possible). There are lots of things to think and talk about this piece, the main idea is to while you learn it you really get to understand what you are playing.
This is my favorite Brahms piece. I've loved listening to this piece since I was a little kid. Sometimes the melody makes me sad, sometimes hopeful…
Wow... One of my favourite pieces and you played it perfectly! Hope to hear you play some more pieces by Brahms. Thank you!!
Thank you!
I’m not the biggest fan of brahms, but I have to say this is pretty good
Brahms was a dick to proper composers like Liszt... but this and his Piano Concerto No 2 are pretty epic I must say
I also thought that Brahms was garbage. BUT then I listened to his op 117 no 2 (and 1 and 3 also) Those pieces were dark as hell and I loved it.
Then I listened to his Paganini variations. I thought that it couldn’t be better than Liszts. I was 100% wrong. So Brahms is now in the radar for me.
Also his 119 no 1 and 2 are very cool pieces.
OHH And the last piece of this op 118, is also very dark and mysterious. It starts outlining the Dias irae theme. Paul Barton has possibly my favorite interpretation
@@roberacevedo8232 Radu Lupu , Perahia, Pogorelich , Sokolov are very good playing Brahms too
I think his hungarian dances are also pretty cool.
ありがとうございます!
ありがとうございます 🙏
@@TraumPianour Japanese ?
prolly used google translate or he is Japanese
Esta obra es de mis favoritas, ya que cuando estoy triste y aburrido, me hace reflexionar positivamente
Thank you so much!!
A piece l've not heard but it's beautiful and tranquil, rather matches your playing Traum . You're definitely not from planet earth ! Fabulous !
One of Brahms’ great piano pieces played with great tenderness and sensitivity. Bravo!
This is such a beautiful piece, really makes you wonder what was going through the composers head at the time of writing

Love for a girl he will never have
5:10 wow, beautiful, then the voicing afterwards. Amazing!
Thank you so much for performing this! I've been awaiting this performance, it is truly gorgeous. Thank you Traum!
The balance, tone and voicing in that middle section was perfect. Music to my ears :)
Moves to tears it is so beautiful. Sad, sweet and melancholy.
Thank you very much for playing it!!
This is probably one of my favorite pieces. ❤❤❤
It makes me feel nostalgic.
My pleasure!
I forgot how good Brahms piano works were. Very nice playing as usual, Traum!
You have a lovely touch. This sounded so beautiful.
Iam a simple man I see traum I click.
🇿🇦
Yep
I am not a simple man but the same
One of Brahms’s greatest works. Beautifully played. 👏
An excellent rendition with all the sub-melodies shining through nicely. Well done !
This piece of music is amazing indeed! I also recorded it recently on my channel. I sometimes have the feeling that you often play the same music as I do, but then I realize that you simple play ALL romantic classical music.
I just cannot help crying each time I listen to this piece...
I realized why Traum never shows his face. It's because he's obviously a superhero. His super power: The ability to play endless amounts of amazing piano music! Seriously though, this is by far one of my favorite channels on RUclips, even though I find myself slightly jealous of his skills sometimes :P
Keep on practicing, you'll get there eventually!
@@charlesjd Thank you:) I will definitely keep practicing. Traum is such an inspiration.
Couldnt agree more. But he isnt just a super hero... He is a GOD.
I am practicing to become as good as him
I got to say I mostly listen only to chopin, lizst, rachmaninoff etc, but this one makes it too. Jezus what was this amazing to listen to
I don’t know how, but all of a sudden I feel so at peace, thanks
This is so beautiful u are clearly underrated good work keep it up 👍 👍 👍
glorious! I have had this on repeat for most of the day. It's played so intimately, I am in awe!
I am totally in love with your channel this is absolutely brilliant
Magical Traum! A caress that touches your face, a feather that floats in the air ...
Indefinibile e delicato grazie Maestro
Wow!!!!!!, what a way to interpret this piece of music, you really TRAUM have magic in your hands, congratulations and thank you very much 🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎹🎼🎶🎵
Now you need to play the op 118 ballade no. 3 🙏🙏🙏
Nice performance, well technique and expression. I’m sinking in my chair 🪑
Amazing ♥️! I'm currently learning Brahms' intermezzo op. 117 no. 2 so your upload has a great timing for me and at the same time inspires me to do better
The voicing in this performance was amazing
Yeeeees you are my favourite traum. Even though you only have 50k odd subs, you are 100x better than Rousseau and Kassia put together. You are the one who always helps me study and helps me get to sleep. I really hope you get to 1mill soon. ;)
Rousseau is an hobby pianist whereas Traum is clearly a pro. The comparison is unfair. Kassia is technically around the same level as Traum, I'd argue Traum is perhaps a little better but not crushingly so.
@@alexandertaylor7316 he means to say in regards to their channels. Traum is putting out much more content than both combined. To be fair they’ve had much more time to grow than Traum.
very good performance, interpretation and voicing. reference.
Beautiful interpretation!🌹🌹🌹
😍🎶🎹👍 merveilleux ! 🤗🙏
Sounds like a mix of POP and Classical.
Isn't it??
What part of it is pop?
all pop music came from classical. That's why
One of My Favorite Brahms Pieces, It Reminds Me of an Poet I'm Planning Soon....
Absolutely beautiful!
Hope you got all the sleep you needed after letting this one out!
This is an amazing intermezzo. I play it as a romantic piece for my piano exams this year. I loved th piece from when I first listened to it, although it is pretty rich in detail to be performed correctly. I really loved your performance! Keep it up, you are awesome!
Wow I didn't hear nothing from Brahms and honestly I'm too impressed of the melodies and harmonies of this work... Thank you Traum!
Beautiful ! I think John Williams also loved this when he was writing the theme of Jurassic Park ooops
Pleaaase more of Brahms, and Anatoly Lyadov !! Could be interesting
It's people like you traum who keep me playing and inspired to play! Just wanted to say, Thanks! Also, a suggestion for a Chopin piece I don't think many people have heard, Prelude in C minor Op 28 No. 20
That's one of chopin's most famous pieces tbh
@@Medtner26 it is definitely one of the most famous Chopin pieces but I would love to hear Traum record some Chopin preludes
@@aidangibson2323 the 12th one would be nice aswell
"Oh Brahms!"
How are you Clara!
The Love letter that cannot be expressed with words... only this piece can defy that bond..
just how in the world can you dislike this i do not understand
Keep it up Traum I play the piano myself and I always look for pieces that require a couple of hours of practice and sound just amazing and you know what? You just played another one for me! I'm printing this and I am already happy to learn this beautiful piece of art.
Thank you for that great piece, I love it! I will start to play it too.
Have fun!
You should have ten million subs
Traum's beautiful artistry plays directly to his audience's inner depth.
He is simply amazing!
Like a tender song without words
As touching as always with much less notes than usual :)
Oh, hello rachmaninox you remembered me ? ;) Nice to see your here.
Nice performance, loved the voicing!
Exquisite. Sublime. So beautiful it hurts.
I'm back here after going through what you experienced. I just started learning fingerstyle guitar and I managed to learn some pretty tough music. I couldn't sleep all night, I just wanted to play it over and over again. It felt like my guitar was staring at me, tempting me to play it 😣
It's beautiful music.
THANK YOU, i feel mich better now.
Amazing performance 🤗👍so good 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I played this at more ore less 13 years old and I think this is the piece that really opened my sensibility to music
I lost my piano when i moved to france last summer, it broke while we were moving... i cant play anymore

The playing of traum is really like a traum 😀
Heyyy the one I asked :) Thank you, Traum! Beautifully played, congrats!
That is really beautiful!
Brahms was a genius and perfectionist.
And your playing surely also is perfect! Also would be interesting since when you play the piano. At least at which age you startet playing!
Glad you enjoyed this lovely piece my friend. ;)

Wowzer Traum....your output is prodigious. I was literally thinking about this piece of Brahms earlier this afternoon. Gorgeous warm playing. So happy to hear it 💜🙏🏼
