To others looking for T Moulding and Carpet to Vinyl transissions - this is the best video on RUclips. Thanks Guy!
Perfect. Thanks! My bathroom has the exact same layout. This helps!
Thank you for the clear instructions. Excellent video.
Very good demo. Clear, easy to follow instructions and job looks excellent. Thank you for sharing.
Best video I've seen on this.
My vacuum cleaner lifted the carpet from under the cheap narrow metal divider in an area that was worked on many times by the builder after I noticed a tiny area of exposed mesh. I think a wider transition strip would fix this, but all those tools must be expensive.
SO CLEAR TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO DO OURSELF THANKS
Neat! I was wondering how I was going to do this. Thanks for doing this video!
Thank you so much, this is exactly what I needed. I'm gonna do this today
Your bathroom looks very nice - great job 😃!
That carpet kicker is on Amazon for no less than 50 bucks. Where do we get one like yours?
Vinyl and brass, gotta love it
Thanks, this is just what I've been looking for.
Looks great. Nice clear instructions. Thank you.
thank you very much.Quick shipper.Good Product.
do I need that tack strip under the transition strip? It's carpet on hardwood. I'm removing a portion. Thank you.
thank you!
One carpet track strip nail sticking out !
What can I do ?
Thanks. I will need to do this. Unfortunately the carpetting is damaged much farther back and no amount of pulling is going to make up the difference, but at least I know how to pull up and replace the transition strip. Thanks.
Well job done.. I just had vinyl flooring done in my dinning area transitioned to carpet into living room with the exact metal gold trim that you removed to put the wood strip in, what was the reason you did away with the metal gold strip replacing it with the wood one?
Where are you located in the U.S.? I could use a person with your skills for my business.
Nice job, but at first I thought you were going with a nice, natural stain-grade look, which looked cool, but then you painted it!!! Lol The result looks great, but aren't there any white anodized strips out there, so you could have bypassed the paint work? I'm actually here for the removal part (which was great), but just curious?
Was that a seam or a wrinkle when you opened the door? If that was a crease in the carpet you should have used that kicker to stretch the wrinkle our of the carpet!
Great stuff
What was wrong with the aluminum transition
Thanks! Great video. Very Handy!
Sounds like woody harrelson
When you are screwing down the transition you painted white with screws are you screwing it down into the concrete subfloor?
yes. in my case its a plywood wooden subfloor. for concrete u might have to drill small pilot holes with a drill bit for the screws.
what type of paint did you use on your cabinets and did you have to sand it?
hi, the paint i used is rustoleum oil based and i sanded inbetween coats of paint. i made a video on how to paint a cabinet that u can find on my channel. thanks.
Angel Rodriguez Java Gel might be an easier alternative
Thank you for sharing!
Great video, bro! Many thanks
Nice but I would’ve painted the screw tops
Thanks! Good info
Nice job.
Well done sir...
Hello I have carpet damage from my cats I live in apartment I want to fix it myself
Nice job!
You do nice carpet installation. I can see that your professionalism excels in your field. However, as a tiler, I have one problem with your transition from carpet to tile. In your demo, you've tucked the carpet right up to the tile edge. Cleanly. That'll work for the carpet but leaving the grout lines "open" at the edges will cause them to eventually erode slightly backwards as they have nothing to dead end into. I' ve seen this occur many times. This is why a threshold is a better choice. Then, tuck.
hi, this floor was actually sheet vinyl. it just has a pattern that looks like tile. thanks
Oops. My bad. Funny how that can fool the eyes.
Actually I'm no sure how my post even got onto your thread. If you'll look to your right, you'll see another installer transitioning from carpet to tile. THIS is who my post was meant to see. Can't explain the internet.

I had something even weirder happen to me : I was making a comment on a RUclips vid and I don't know what made me go back but I decided to edit it for punctuation and grammatical errors and I was unable to get in !
Then we order yet I noticed the name at the bottom of it was not my name what was the name of somebody else and this really freaked me out and it actually happened twice within several days.
The reason I find this so creepy and weird is because if someone knows what they're doing and apparently I did not know how this happened someone could write a really vicious horrible comment that can get them in a lot of trouble but your name could end up as the author instead of the original person who wrote it .
I'm still not sure how it happened but it freaks me out when I found it with two different comments to two different people .
You sound like Bob and Doug Mackenzie lol
Looks great !
White painted metal will look bad shortly.walk on it a little it will be dirty quick.
hmm. love the look of screw heads...
Tarda mucho, mal trabajo. Y aparte se trompiesan con la transición
not bad
Holy damn 200$ for vinyl??? That's a small bathroom
You talk just like Woody Harrelson!
Shoulda just brad nailed it, And if im not mistaken those come with finish nails as well lol, That first nail lolol, a stapler woulda worked. What kind of knee was that. "keeps it nice and tight" u literally did nothing but put the carpet on to the pins
The old one you took up looked far better
uses metal hack saw for wood.... other than that nice, gg
Nothing wrong with that, you get a good clean cut, don't do it the other way around though (cutting metal with a wood saw)
I keep a small hacksaw in my tool bag and if I come across a small cut that needs doing I use that rather than trail out to the van to go fetch the specific wood saw.
Thank You!
how do you fix the carpet if it’s torn up from where the strip was?
