Brilliant. Besides campers, preppers will like this. Also, FEMA should place a big order.
damn....... you guys did such an amazing job designing this!! I need this for my bed camper I just bought 😍😍
I’d probably set this up as an off grid permanent system connected to filtered rain water. This product looks incredible!
Sounds like a good plan! We'll be here if you need assistance. 🙂
As a landlord, I would like something like this adapted to be a temp measure for when hot water heaters die.
Just thinking of putting an outdoor shower in my backyard. This might be my unit!
sounds like you need the smaller kit with just the heater and shower.
I got a nomad and the engineering quality is as good as this video. You won't be disappointed; however wait time from ordering to delivery is 6 months to the day. (Order form said 'pre order')
So I'm assuming kits aren't manufactured until ordered.
I got ripped off for $80 trying to buy a Shenzhen knock off.
Don't even consider that. Get a joolca.
I am thoroughly impressed 😳
Holy freaking cow, what a system! I just watched Chrome on Vancity Vanlife have a hot shower out of a creek out in the winter of British Columbia, and couldn't for the life of me figure out how he did it. Absolutely brilliant.
❤️
Nice! Bout to hit the road for a multi-month adventure. I'm definitely getting this!
GREAT VIDEO!
I have one. Great bit of kit!
Well keep us posted when you have the full kits in the States. Cali! I ll buy it and a tent to go with it. today is 2/19/21
Thanks for your interest! The Nomad kit is estimated to ship by very early March, and the other kits are currently available for immediate shipping.
@@Joolca popppp
Definitely need this right now! :D
Ordered one today. Have been looking for something like this for a while.
😍
.
Camping... yes.
Hurricane supplies... oh hell yes.
.
I'm sold! :-)
Well thought out product. But quite an investment in gear unless your a big group. For our unit of 2 we go pretty minimal and use a solar bag.
I'll buy. But aren't there any girrls in Australia?
so cool
Great video ad ☺️ on my way to check out your site 😍 this will be much more affordable for my van build and because I can stow it in my ‘under bed garage’ it won’t take up room in my van like a normal kitchen set up would 👏 ❤
Glad you love it! Feel free to let us know if you have questions!
No more cold showers after a hurricane and if you're homeless after said hurricane heres a nice setup
looks great ... but I'd need space for the gas bottle as well. Space is what you don't have in a small 4x4 camper.
Hell yes!
just got one for my birthday!!YeeHaah
😍
My family had a cold shower once while camping. They said it wasn't "fun". I also had greasy dishes. Now we will NEVER camp again. Too bad, now that this bad boy is in the mix.
Spent my stimulus check on this. And in the 6 months it took to receive my Nomad kit; i bought a lance camper. So i don't need it anymore.
I'm going to give the Nomad to Berkeley's Unsanctioned 'Here there' homeless camp. They already have solar power and use jerry cans for dish and handwashing..
If i can figure out logistics of greywater removal (they have a porta lue serviced daily; maybe i can work out a greywater holding tank and get it service as well)
This kit will make those who have no home in Berkeley, a little more cozy, and clean.
What are unsanctioned at berkley?
@@reallycoolname6124 3333 adeline ave in Berkeley
I would add a double sink insert, with drain plugs. The tub would hold the gray water, to dispose of later
Put a switch on the handle that let's you bypass the heater, so you can choose hot or cold water from the handle.
This is an awesome find! I'm definitely going to be getting one of these kits asap. What kind of hose do you use for the water lines?
Hi! It's internally-insulated UV resistant braided hose.
scrap land + tent + this
🤣🤣🤣 buenísimo
I want one
Awesome! Let me know if you have questions! 🙂
I wish it came in green.
immagine of having to plug the 12v pump, but you also have to bring some type C batteries to run the device? lol
The storage feature blows my mind. Btw, the handsome actor looks better in the other commercial; better hair and beard :-)
if it can have optional propane storage inter grade HOTTAP stand and better looking storage sink not a huge blue plastic box, maybe brushed nickel sink, knob , shower head
Our home tankless water heater died yesterday. Gonna take a week or so before a plumber can even start on an new. Is there a way to hook this up to a garden hose or tap water? I'd love to set this on our back porch for ventilation, and run hoses through thr batheoom window. If long enough that is. Any advice on making this work in thst manner?
Thanks!!!
Hey Vince! Sorry to hear that your heater broke down!
You can connect the HOTTAP to an outdoor tap using a 1/2" garden hose and run the shower hoses through a window for the indoor shower. :)
More info here: support.joolca.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001537275-Can-I-connect-HOTTAP-to-a-garden-tap-
Let me see if I understand this: The water supply either comes from a very nearby river, stream, or, the water supply comes from a big heavy, large water jug one must bring with you when one goes camping? In both instances, you put a hose into the river or water jug and it gets sucked up (after going through an included water filter?) into the HOTTAP device which heats the water and then goes through another hose onto your body via the shower head?
You got it! 😁
@@JoolcaThis would help the homeless but not the hopeless. But, the homeless could not afford such a device.
It costs in apr2022 between 220-520. Not bad.
Does this have a built-in water pump for off-grid purposes, so that you can just hook it up to a large water tank? tia
Oh, it doesn't but the HOTTAP Nomad and Outing Kits come with a 12v pump set for that purpose. 🙂
dose the main unit need to be upright or could i mount it flat on my roof platform?
It has to be upright since the flame must be under the heat exchanger. Also, the tilt sensor will prevent the HOTTAP from igniting if it's not upright. 🙂
Does this work off a 1lb camp propane bottle?
Hi Colton. Yes, it does as long as you use the right adapter. You can read more about the adapter here: support.joolca.com/hc/en-us/articles/115008300048-What-size-gas-tank-can-I-use-
Awesome!! Thank you
@@Joolca How long will a 1#, 5# and 10# last, is it a straight conversion from the 20#=15 hours
@@TheKPDX Yea it's pretty much a straight conversion from the larger sizes :)
Bonjour
P.S. Forgive me. I used Google to translate it. I hope it's the right translation 😊
@@Joolca Hello thank you for your reply. regarding the translation it was perfect.
I will therefore wait because I am interested in your hottap.
Best regards
Je pourrais peut-être développer vôtre produit en France 😊😊
Thanks mate! 😍🙏
@@Joolca is this available in Belgium or France?
I'm ordering a nomad kit and shower tent...i live in alaska...its charging me $227 for shipping...is there a discount code for shipping?...aslo how long would it take for me to receive it?
Hi there! There is a shipping charge when shipping to Alaska because of the bulky nature of the products that we sell. The charge that has been calculated on the checkout page depends on the total weight of your order. This is already a subsidized cost, meaning that our true cost is more than this but we have factored in what we normally allocate for domestic shipping to bring this cost down for you. Also, shipping from our Salt Lake City warehouse to Alaska takes 7 business days or more via FedEx.
Just ordered it...so i should receive it in 7 business days?
Thanks for the order mate. Really sorry we couldn't do any more on the shipping cost. The shipping time is 7 business days after your order is dispatched from Salt Lake City. If you got the Nomad Kit, there is a note on the website saying that it's on preorder with an estimated dispatch date of May 10. That's when you start counting 7 business days. However, if you got either the Essentials or the Outing Kit, dispatch is immediate as those kits are currently in stock.
@@Joolca yes i got the nomad kit and the double tent...i need it before June 🙏
@@zombiekilla4601 did you get it hon? How much was your shipping??
Can you use a small propane?
Yes, you can! Here's the right gas hose for that: www.joolca.com/products/lightweight-gas-hose
You can transfer the female gas connector from our supplied hose and attach 🙂
Where do I get the water ?
Hello! Your water source could be from a tank, jerry can, or an off-grid source such as a creek, river, or lake. :)
I just got mine and the hoses are not for potable water. They have a very strong chemical smell. I can't store them in my van because the smell is so strong.
Hey Sarah, sorry to hear that. A little bit of smell is normal but should go away pretty quickly with a bit of use :)
What about draining the grey water? Most places, it's illegal to just drain dirty water and shampoo chemicals into the ground. Plus, what if you're super muddy...the mud won't drain through the floor mesh easily, so you'd still have to rinse the whole inside of the tent clean?
Joolca You should not be selling a product if you cannot deliver it in a timely fashionI I ordered The nomad kit on July 28, 2020 and still have not received It
Hi Topaz. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We completely agree that in an ideal world, we wouldn’t pre-sell any gear and only have ads when we have products in stock. This is definitely something that we have considered but unfortunately, it’s just not feasible for us at the moment for a few reasons.
We are a small company with a niche focus on portable showers and no other products to bring in revenue. If we stop pre-selling, the work for our team in customer support, sales & marketing dries up. We run profitably - but not enough to pay staff when they’re not working, so we’d need to stand them down until things are back on track. Putting a stop to pre-selling is a decision we’ve chosen not to make, not during these times. For better or for worse.
Please know that we are working exceedingly hard to catch up on all of our pre-sales, and we’re nearly there. We continue to ask for everyone’s boundless patience and understanding as we work on fulfilling all orders in the queue.
As for your preorder, we apologize for the lack of communication from us for such an extended period as we also haven’t received shipping updates in time for us to notify you accordingly.
We have just received an update from logistics yesterday (January 5 EST), and we were told that there are still massive delays in Los Angeles/Long Beach ports where our containers ship to. Once ships arrive, they have to wait to get into the port, then there are delays unloading containers, then further delays getting the containers onto rail for final destination to our warehouse in Utah.
We had a container arrive in Salt Lake City last week but it turns out that it was for different gear and not the one for the full HOTTAP kits.
Unfortunately, for all the people that we told end of December shipping, it will be mid to end of January, more realistically. We are currently working on getting order delay emails out to customers whose orders have been delayed.
We'll keep an eye on updates and will dispatch as soon as possible, however, if you decide to proceed with a cancellation and a full refund due to all these delays, please reach out to our CS team at support@joolca.com for it to be arranged.
It’s really very unfortunate that the current situation has dragged on for all US customers who were included in this batch of pre-orders and once again, we are so sorry for your experiences so far.
Wow...did your receive it yet?
@@zombiekilla4601 yes I received it on February 1 2021
Whew...glad u got it...just ordered mines... hopefully i get it in 7 business days 🙏
so you just wash your cooking grease right there into that nature your going to experience ? Huh... well how very human of you, Wow look at all this beauty, now what can I do to destroy it ? hmm
Too bad the background sound track is so loud. You might sell more of these, if people could hear all you saying.
Then it's your garbage speakers, not their video. I could hear every word just fine.
@@ChrisBBozeman Hmmm, perhaps your right, I'm glad you can hear it well.
I had no intention of being harsh, was just the experience I was having.
Thanks for sharing your flaming observation.
Can this thing get wet?
Yes, but it'll need to dry before use, can't be used out in the rain as it'll turn off.
@@Joolca How many watts does the pump use?
The pump's max draw is 5.8A, but generally uses 3 to 4 amps while in use.
@@Joolca 4 Amps is like 480 watts….I have a 12 volt pump that’s no where’s near that much. Am I missing something?
If you have a 12V pump, this can work with the HOTTAP. however, your pump needs to supply 6 - 12 LPM at 40 - 60 PSI to use the HOTTAP on all flows.
