Bob I am so happy that you were connected Nomadland and were mentioned as a contributor to an Oscar winning film. For me I just think the film and more importantly the nomad movement would not exist without your RUclips videos. I was wanting you in part to see you on stage to help accept the award but the other half of me said no he will not be there because he isn’t looking for fame and attention. You are a person that truly cares about people and in selfless conviction you stood back in the background smiling. I have watched the movie 10 times and I get more and more excited about being a nomad when I retire! Thank you Bob for giving knowledge and hope to us that are the work horses! Great job!
Folks in the world of horses use these portable systems at their barns and for traveling to horse shows, rodeos, etc. I've been promoting these for vanners every chance I get. The ability to use it outdoors made it valuable for horse owners ...and now campers. PS your thumbnail is priceless!

Bob I just want to leave a comment for anyone who might use a system like this in colder weather. We bought one years ago. Not this brand. Not nearly as nice. But expensive back 6/7 years ago. We left it in our outdoor shower at the farm. Well it got below 32 degrees. And an element inside froze. It destroyed it because my husband who can fix anything said there was just not a part to order to fix it. We had to purchase another one. And it’s never left outside. It’s in the cabin. Safe an sound. So just a heads up so that no one hopefully makes the mistake we did. I do like this system much better. It’s the real deal. Enjoy it! Leslye

I'm guilty of LONG hot showers once a month when I stay at a motel, because like you Bob, I really miss hot running water. I've been considering an "on demand" system for a while, but like this one, just can't justify the expense, yet. I still leave a jug of water out all day, hoping the wind chill won't "hurt" me to much. 😆

Hot water I just fill a kettle heated on any camp fire or stove. My showers a bucket and pale. Worked for me this method for over 45 years of living a alternative life style. Simple cheap and it works, stay simple is my look on life. Saves a fortune.
Hey Bob. Did you ever think, even once that you would become a movie start of sorts? I don’t take the time to watch much television. Really looks a game changer. On half power no problem to throw down a shower pan and have a temporary curtain magnetic to the ceiling even. Don't need to take up permanent storage space or living space with a shower cubicle .

That's cool to have. You deserve to have something for yourself and, have hot running water. I'll get one when they come down in price. Everything costs more when it first comes on the market.
You should give us a tour of your van sometime since you're always giving tours of other people's setup. I've never seen it and, am sure other people would like to see it.

I’ve been thinking about this for about 16 years. 3 years my daughter will go to college and I’ll just be traveling with my cat and dog. Been doing some loose planning but I’m ready to leave this big house behind and all these bills and stop dwelling on pointless things. Start realizing I’m safer than I think. I can take care of myself and I don’t need things to give me character or memories. I have those in my own. I still have some things I’m thinking about... storage space for a few things? Learning about solar power. Rv vs camper or van etc. but I’m sure it will all work out. Sag heart and freedom!!!

Congratulations on the Oscar! Thank you for the videos, I nearly become homeless a few years back and began following you channel. I’m healthy again and working as a mobile dog groomer. This may be an option for hot water if I’m ever brave enough to build my own rig and become an entrepreneur. I’ve seen the ads and didn’t know how well designed this product is.

Having access to affordable hot water to wash your hands ,dishes ect during a pandemic is pretty important. Thankful for this solution. I'm adding this in to my van build. This is affordable , effective and I'd say it's a necessity. Especially considering some states are rolling back to phase 1 on Covid restrictions.

Oh thats fantastic! Yes, a luxury item for sure but wow. Including the sink & drain boards, the temp & water controls? Delightful.
Looks similar to the one we used in early 1980's when I lived in the Six Rivers Nat'l Forest, having built a home and using a generator. It was a great asset to have, and this one that you're sharing I'm sure is a wonderful product and will make a person feel at home. Hot water really is a luxury!
I don't watch any awards shows, but from the comments, obviously "Nomadland" was appropriately recognized and I'm VERY happy for you. I watched it twice back-to-back when it was released. You deserve to be recognized & praised for all your contributions.
Now to the H2o heater. I did some extensive research on the different options of these approx 6-7 months ago & narrowed it down to between this Joolca & one other brand. Put both of them on my "Nomad Wish List" as future upgrades. As you said, they can SEEM good, but you never know. Now I'll feel much better making the investment once I save up for it. Looks like a great product definitely could use on my Honda ridgeline overland I half to boil water for a hot shower for one year of living in my truck, will half to save up for that, really like that, thank you sir for all your information you share God speed guys ⛺🙄🇺🇸

Love this system! Thanks for the review. Very compact and simple, so much simpler than so many built-in systems I've seen. Love that is comes with the kitchen faucet also.
I have the Joolca nomad kit and double shower tent I love the tent but I just don’t carry enough water to use the on demand water heater so I switched to the Big Kahuna hot water kit the one I have holds 8 gallons of water then I heat it with my Honda generator when I want hot water it works awesome

I've installed over a 100 on demand water systems, electric and propane. Great item in a brick and sticks or camping..
I will have to learn if this particular brand will function at higher altitudes and with water not filtered or treated as in cooperated water suppliers. I had one malfunction due to high mineral content and couple others due to contamination. I'm sure website will answer these questions.

I took the course on Udemy. I recommend it to anyone like me who is contemplating this option of living. Probably worth taking the course if you are already out there.

Nice to see you're endorsing such a fabulous Aussie product. They also make fantastic ensuite tents too, so easy to erect and really sturdy.. The Australian RV community loves Joolca products. Enjoy the luxury of hot water, thanks to us Aussies. Am presuming it is as water wise as it is efficient, as we are the driest continent in the world and drought is more common than years of plenty. I have had my eye on one of these since Joolca released them. Glad your review was so positive!

Thanks for this great review. I saw some ads for the Joolca and thought it looked great but it's even better when real nomads like you actually give it the stamp of approval! Also, congrats for Nomadland Oscar win, your performance was amazing and really hit me right in the feels as I lost my sister just like you lost your son. I'm hoping to become a nomad this year too and I really look up to you and your tribe!
I've had the Joolca Nomad system since Feb 1st. It was a 5 month wait due to covid, but it was definately worth the wait and the investment. Joolca has far exceeded my expectations in both products and customer service. I found it more beneficial (for me) to mount the Joolca hottap inside and leave the "sink" at home. I use a much smaller sink to save on space. Joolca products are well built and they stand behind their products. When I needed to contact them about shipping (or for any reason), they responded almost immediately with an answer. If you're pumping uphill from a lake or river and it is struggling to move the water, a fresh set of batteries or a stronger power source will get it done. I am disabled, but able to operate this system on my own without it wearing me out since everything is qick-connects. The only struggle I have is turning the propane tank on and off because my grip strength is weak. Great product, great customer service, and well worth it. If you can afford to get one, it's definately a game changer to have instant hot water at your fingertips. Thank you for reviewing the Nomad system Bob. Joolca deserves the praise and exposure.
That looks like a great unit. I have an Excel instant hot water heater mounted above my toilet in my camper bathroom. I had an RV tech plumb it into the original plumbing. I need to mess with it more because the water gets super hot even on a low setting.

I am going to work this into my build. I live in a cold climate and want to be able to easily winterize. Even though my camper van has a shower system plumbed in, I want to make our van more 4 season. This is a great alternative
I've been looking at these since last year and I think they're magnificent!!! The water right out of the lake with the filter in the video on their website is what sold me.
I will definitely order mine before we leave to full time RV in January 2022

Hello Bob. I use 2 other similar water heaters. The water heaters cost $100 refurbished from Gasland $125.00 for Eco temp L5 The cost of my water pump is $180.00 from a rv store.
Both are great water heaters and you can control the temperature. I use my eco temp daily in my mobile dog grooming van and it's lasted 9 years. I admit I actually broke it, it just needed the little water screen cleaned. We have been using the refurbished garland for 2 months and so far it's doing its job. I think you will be happy with your new shower. For the money I think you got a nice gift. Hope to meet you this year. Rick
I looked at this system a few months ago after seeing it mentioned (possibly on Expedition Portal).
Clearly, a considerable amount of thought has been put into the entire system, resulting in the most practical, freestanding, self contained unit for showering and washing up.
The kitchen sink, tap and drainers are perfect, offering great ergonomics, space and practicality.
The black support for the water heater is the most purposeful design for the intended roles of showering, washing up and cleaning of gear, wet suits, bicycles, atv's, etc, and the carry handle further enhances that.
The use of quick-fit connectors is the icing on the cake of this system, eliminating tools which will invariably become misplaced when needed!
In summary, I consider this to be the best of the type, and liveaboard's in vans, cars and cargo trailers might find it particularly useful, especially if the sink doubles as a shower tray, enabling it to be used for indoor showers.
