If we ever get a Retro Flint, I hope he gets not only an entirely new sculpt, but a brand new head as I don't enjoy the head we have on the classified Flint that much anymore.

This Duke is a great figure. I am starting to these figures Joe classified and retro figures. I am liking these retro figures. I agree we Flint and Cobra commander for this line. Yes we the first of figures like zapp and Short fuze. These figures have that nastalgia of the 80's . Good video sir

Duke the first debut toys in 1983 from GI Joe A Real American Hero in 1982-1994.
Great figure but I'm more into the wacky stuff, got a crimson bat and tiger force Outback to add some much-needed color to my classified collection. That helmet and visor are my favorite parts of this Duke 🕶
I'm with you about Flint being the second-in-command of G.I. Joe (under General Hawk). Duke is the kind of leader that will be micromanaging the ops with Dial-Tone or Mainframe back at the Pitt, while yes, Flint is the kind of guy to just go out and get it done. Still, it's not a G.I. Joe squad without either of them in my opinion.
On a side note, the RPG book's description of Flint by General Hawk is hilarious and apt. "The three steps of getting to know Flint are: 1. I like this guy; 2. Is this guy for real? 3. I really do like this guy. It's rare you meet someone that personable and magnetic who also hasn't figured out that he can get away with a lot because of it." There's a bit more after that, but I read that before finding your channel, and felt like sharing. It just really fits Flint to a "T".

I'm curious to see if they'll ever do a retro Flint. I like the Flint they made and love that I got a Tiger Force Flint, but I do wonder what they'd do with a retro style Flint. I'm also hoping they take this Duke and make a Tiger Force version that maybe doesn't come with a motorcycle LOL.
My only problem with Duke is he is always either getting captured or taken out he should have been a paper pusher leader instead of field command
Normally I would stay out of debates like this but being a huge GI Joe fan from the every beginning back in 82 I would like to point out that in the series they clearly pointed out the line of command and it was flint who himself pointed out that it goes Hawk, Duke then Flint and last Beachhead

Anyway love your reviews they have been extremely helpful on decisions of what classified figures to with keep up the good work!

One duke is enough!!! I have several duke and ram cycles because I wanted a tiger force ram cycle squad with flint as the lead officer for the squad as I believe he's the true leader for the Joe's!!! Duke is his second in command as really it should be for the most part!!! I have 12 ram cycles and that I believe should cover most of the tiger force Joe's that are out now and on the way to fill the squad!!!

Well Kyle.....Flint does out rank Duke as Flint is a Warrant Officer and Duke is a First Sergeant. So you could make an argument using that bit of information 😉

I never was a flint guy but duke is only a sergeant. Flint has to outrank him.
Leaders in military police and firemen goes by rank. Flint is a chief warrant officer. Doing my research into who outranks who. It says sometimes a chief warrant officer does outrank a sergeant major. Which is Duke. And sometimes they don't, depending on the situation. If it's the chief warrant officers area of expertise/specialty then he is in command. I feel that Duke is the true leader. Facts don't care about ones feelings.

SGT Slaughter wins out as leader...IMO. Anyone who can unscrew with his thumbnail and leads a group called Slaughter's Marauders beats out all other Joe leaders.

Oh Yeah!....Duke, Kyle's secret favorite character and leader of the Joes. This is the best retro we have seen and probably will ever see in this line for years to come. It figures Hasbro would give the perfect treatment to the one figure that screams American patriotism and who is the best bar none, if you truly look into the lore Kyle you would know that Flint was always the Duke imposter and only brought in to the line up because Duke has to take a break from saving the world and the other Joes to give the second tier assistant leaders a chance to shine (Barely) but they fail in comparison to Duke. Here are a few mor reasons why Duke is the true leader of G.I. Joe:
1. Duke is the only one good enough to date Scarlett and take her away from Snake-Eyes. Duke doesn't want that sloppy seconds Lady Jaye, that's why she dated Flint.
2. Duke is always front and center in battle saving the world and the Joes and willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good where as Flint is relegated to the background in favor of Duke
3. Flint is a Warrant Officer and should be in charge because Duke is enlisted Master Sergeant, and in the military officers are ranked over enlisted but the Joes would rather follow an enlisted high ranking soldier than a paper pushing desk jockey so you know Flint isn't good enough to take the leader role and also why Duke will always take the top spot.
4. Duke is so awesome he was released in 1983 and poor old Flint was brought in 1985, once again Duke takes the lead role.
5. Duke and Scarlett are the true power couple where as Flint and Lady Jaye are just considered a lesser carbon copy.
Sorry I had to give you a few of many reasons why Duke is better than Flint
Duke VS Flint comments get a little tiresome after awhile. I'm a Marine so of course Gung Ho and Leatherneck and even Sgt Slaughter who technically is Gunny Slaughter! Between Duke and Flint it's a toss up! I like them both though on the "Cool Meter" Tiger Force Flint has it all over Duke! Lol!
You’re telling me a guy like Duke that almost cost many good joes there their life and almost helped cobra la destroy the world you would take over flint or view at the same level? Flint the one that lead the team to cobra la to free the joes where Duke used nepotism for his brother. Terrible leader. @@KylePeterson1980 I'm a Flint guy too, don't get me wrong. For one he out ranks Duke. Flint has always been the Strategy and Tactics Guy for GI Joe. If you follow the comics and I have since issue #1 of the entire Marvel run which I have Flint is the better Soldier. The only time he wasn't in control was in the spin offs when Lady Jaye was killed and he just got more deadly. Duke had his run as the CIA or whatever Super Secret Squirrel agency he worked for. Flint has always been a Joe!

@@KylePeterson1980 you should revist it and you will see the shirt is khaki and pants olive and the face had icecube eyebrows. So its way off, but maybe they didnt want it to be that similiar.
