Today we are taking a trip down memory lane and looking for the one that got away. The thing is, it didn't really get away. I still have it. It's just gotten away from me a bit. Pushing 20 years a bit. I've had a million vehicles over the years and I thought this would be a good time to share with the channel a little of my history along with my prized possession. The 1969 Camaro RS that's been in my family since it was brand new. It's morphed itself into a shed find as it's been laid up for the better part of 20 years and not road legal since 1983. This car and several others featured in the video shaped me and my love of all things automotive. I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane and meeting my beautiful car!

Love seeing old pictures!
It was a fun trip down memory lane for sure. I wish I could find some other pics of other cars too, but it was good enough to get the idea. Wanted people to know I've been messing with this junk for a long, long time. Lol. Thanks for watching!
Man, I think there is a good bet that this is the one that can really get a large following! It has everything it needs, a story, your story, and ... You have it!
Not having to buy it first is a big plus. 🤣 I've never show it on the channel before because I didn't want pressure to work on it because I know I'm not ready. We're getting closer though. A few more project flips and it can at least be thought about and planned. Gonna be a great will it start. Hasn't run since 2004! Thanks for watching!
Story Time! I'm in. Excellent project and I love the one that got away. I think we all have them
Thanks for watching Roy!
Excellent story.... excellent project..... can't wait to see you get back on the family treasure.
Someday for sure. Maybe the channel will blow up and somebody will sponsor the build. 🤣 Thanks for watching!
Awesome story, great car!!!!
Thanks guys! Appreciate it!
Enjoy these stories!
Thanks for watching! We appreciate it!
I wanna see a camaro series that would be awesome
I wanna see it too! Just gotta find some sponsors with deep pockets and questionable judgement. 🤣
What a teaseeeeer. Gotta do a series on this as soon as you can get around to it. That car is a sleeping beast that needs to be back roaming the world. However as you said life gets in the way and we all understand that. But golly what a machine. As always love the videos and your respect for the machines keep up the quality work
Hopefully the channel will grow and be able to support the build? Never know. Lol. It'll get done someday! Thanks for watching!
I would love to see your 69 Camaro on the channel. Maybe when you sell the jeep. I'm in the same spot. My 72 k10 is getting the motor and transmission rebuilt. About 4k worth but boy will it be worth it when I'm cruising around with my arm out the window!
I'd love to do it but dang it's expensive. Still need to buy a lot. Front fenders, new AC components, new vacuum system parts, all brake parts, shocks, get the trans rebuilt etc. Plus that's assuming the engine is still good. It hasn't ran since 2004.... 😒
Hey bro I was in the same spot with my 3rd gen. I finally stopped procrastinating and started to turn it into my dream car. So I say this! get that car in the other garage and start. Your right its not easy even if it's one out of ten videos 20. You deserve it make it happen.
It'll get over there eventually. I need the garage space for stuff that makes money rather than takes money for now. The idea being that eventually the garage makes enough money to spend it all on the car. 🤣 Thanks for watching!
Farm trucks are a blast! Until you rack it up! Lol
Man that was a bad day. Cops showed up, pap was pissed, guy who's tree I hit was pissed. I was sure somebody was gonna end me. 🤣
So glad to hear you won’t ever sell the Camaro. Your Mother loved that car!!!😊
So do I! It's been around as long as I can remember. 😁
Howdy
Ohhhhhhhhhh Shoebox.......
Acting like you didn't already see it 🤣
Excellent video :) also lots vechiles wish keep & some stay forever and been there too ! Lots vechiles could stayed one was 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door my late dad upgraded from stock also funny part he sold in 1984 got big $ for also saw recently guy bought of dad sold to and amazing was a local vechiles show ! In 1994 was looking buy a car of late Neighbor Fred a 1973 Dodge Duster Twister 360 car only need fender on right side fix plus exhaust bought sold at his farm auction over price and then my one Cousin Lorne told come up to his place one Summer he bought my late Dad 1972 Dodge Duster Twister but rust so badly plus motor also transmission need repairs bad also want fix because was in famous Ontario Canada movie also my dad had from 1972 to 1984 till Cousin bought it! But just didn't have $ put in too and if did be long road ahead! Then my one brother David had car want fix was 1979 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS Landau but he let sit on farm got rusted up bad and going fix but sold it before let me try buying it ! Then my late Cousin John SR had 1982 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS but his one young son smacked car up and no way fix up but was get after John past away only need before smacked up was flywheel change plus starter to 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix 400 motor! In 2011 was ready get my late Uncle Bill JR car I rebuilt in 2008 was 1989 Chevrolet Camaro RS Iroc Z with orgnailly 178.000 kms with Corvette 350 true daul exhaust on each manifold not GM Style also was costume made up plus Turbo 700SR 4speed Automatic transmission plus special made 390 rear end gears made for plus full frame from Pick up truck 1970's Cherry Red body also Chrome package and no sunroof or TTops but every option to! Fan orgnailly clutch type but put a 2 electric fans from 2002 Chevrolet Impala car also rad updated to 4 core rad I had for project myself was going do 1970's type Chevrolet Impala LS car but car sold before got it! But Chevrolet Camaro got upgraded gasket set also Daytime Running Feature add in electric wire harness hook up ! But my Uncle Bill JR past away in 2011 in January 15 2012 when going get car off his long term Girlfriend and said would had buy of appraisal price she gotten and told will statement my late Uncle Bill JR had left it to so her one older son who adult said pay $ or lose it ! So try get my late dad get figured out for me and he was piss off too after talking to them too! So no deal happened ever even offer $15,000 dollars to buy it ! So car sold on January 31 2013 for $3,500 to young kid who destroyed it in accident plus fire and saw in Auto Wrecking Yard and to much time restored again my thoughts! Also hard get brand new GM parts to and left alone do something like do instead! In 1996 to want buy a 1969 Chevrolet Caprice 2 door car my Late Grandfather Harold had plus late wife Verna car too was in mint condition stored in back garage on house I own also as my grandmother Verna buy off her plus she said get appraisal first then go from there! Sadly my one uncle her son sold it and car was rare had a 396 Chevrolet Chevelle motor plus Turbo 400 Transmission plus daul exhaust with 390 rear end gears too! Sold for $7.500 and seen car since sold my one lady cousin has it ! That car is fast and pedal to metal in fast speeds!
That's quite a list of cars. I've had some really fun ones. Some I didn't have photos of for the video unfortunately. Thanks for watching we appreciate it!
@@MyLegacyGarage same hear have no pictures to but was fun memories to and enjoy it to!
The Way Back Machine? Does that make you Sherman or Peabody?
😂😂😂
Both I think? 🤣 Thanks for watching!
Ohhhhh man get on it do one thing to it everyday! Get your head outa your rear and start doing the Not expensive stuff! Hmmmm might be time for a CNC help a car guy get it done!
It's been in that condition for so long that it's just sorta how it exists now. I did put a starter on it, oil the cylinders and spin it over several years ago. That's the extent of the work it's had done since 2004 though. It's just too expensive to buy everything I need at the moment and need the garage space for stuff that makes money. Lol
