We appreciate you spending time and resources testing these products.
Happy to do it. This is a video that guys like you requested.
@@WerkzHolstersYessir, I was one of the dudes that voted “yes, please stress test the reliability of these PSA micro dagger mags” lol. Thanks, fellas, for your time and resources!
The fact you ran white box, known to be the most non-consistent factory ammo, is much more impressive.
Only steel woulda been more of a test.
Check for polymer burrs on the inside of the mag. It's a pretty common problem with these mags. I've put 500 rounds through one mag and the only problem I've had is the slide not locking back. I took the mag apart and there was a piece of polymer hanging.
That's excellent feedback for us and for other folks interested in running the mags. Thanks!
I just got one of the micro dagger slick finish mags and the interior is all metal, no burrs or polymer deformities. Seems like they improved some of the QC/manufactur process
@@Dennis-vm6lu I gave up on mine. My black one worked great for the first 500 rounds. Now the slide never locks back. My micro slick version had FTF problems from the start. Maybe I'll try them again in the future.
@@Dennis-vm6lu I got two of them last week and the only problem so far is failure to slide lock.
@@kylegamer48 youre probably just holding down the slide release with your grip
Interesting vid. I've run about 300 rounds through two of them now in an OEM 43X, zero failures so far...
a note on a mag that's been loaded for two months-- doesn't matter. Springs being compressed doesn't hurt them, only the act of compressing them but being under compression does nothing. Think of it like a pillar- so long as you're not exceeding the maximum load, you won't do any damage to a pillar by putting compressive force on it. No one has ever said "yo, take that brick off that other brick, if you keep them ontop of eachother for months you'll wear them out." Same deal with springs.
You **never** need relieve pressure off springs. So long as you haven't exceeded their max load, they'll always be perfectly fine.
🤔 Yes.
Appreciate it gents.
I’ve been buying holster from y’all for years, love em, and the latest one I bought from you last month I said to myself “they’ve really dialed it in now!” The M7 I got for Glocks plus X300U is outstanding craftsmanship, perfect lock in, and doesn’t mess up my finish.
Glad you liked it, and thanks for the positive feedback on our gear. Even though we have 300+ SKUs, when we find better ways to do things, we often go back and update previous holster designs to incorporate changes. This way, even designs we have had for years are often updated with some of the details improved. Blessings!
When the S15 magazines fail people dog the company, but when the PSA magazines fail people have all tyoes of excuses for them. If the S15 magaxines fail in the first thousand shots, people call the crap, but when PSA magazines fail, people say they need to be broken in 🤔😳🤷🏾♂️ I'm sticking to OEM magazines
Yup, if you need 15 rounds buy a 19.🤘
@@magdump7380Or just get a modern pistol that isn't obsolete and is better in every way.
They failures here were strictly only when the mags were brand new and unrefined
in what world is a glock obsolete you smooth brain chimp@@jaredcaldwell4270
Dork.
Thank you guys!! Also love your holsters!!
My pleasure! Thanks for running our gear! Blessings!
Great video and thanks for covering this. I have several SA15 mags for my 43x and have only run a couple of hundred rounds through them and the Glock mags with similar failure to feed with the the SA15 mags. I haven't changed out the mag release yet waiting to decide if I wanted to get the PSA mags. I believe I will now.
Randy, would be great if you posted any comments back here once you get a chance to run the PSA.
@@WerkzHolsters Finally bought the Micro Dagger mags (w/o the micro slick finish) but thaven't started running them yet. I don't think you mentioned this in the video and I haven't found in the comments. Were the PSA mags tight fitting in the mag well and require a bit of force to remove (they wouldn't slide out of the mag well when the release was pressed) when brand new? The PSA mags, like the ProMag are tight fitting and won't drop out. I'm hoping they will "losen" up after use. My SA15 and ETS 19 round (all plastic) do drop free but the ETS mags are (for me) just for range use so for right now the SA15 are my EDC choice.
I got hypnotized midway through...all of the shot cadences blurred together and I was daydreaming somewhere out there in time and space!
😂
I picked up two PSA mags about two months ago and have put about 600 rounds of fmj and only experienced 2-3 malfunctions during the first few runs of the magazines. They ran 100 rounds of 124 grain HST flawlessly. I recently ordered a third magazine and have put about 150 rounds through it and only experienced two malfunctions as well in the first couple uses of the magazine. All in all these are way better then my experiences with the shield arms mags!
Yes!! Wanted this review
I'm glad to provide! If you do get a PSA mag, would be great if you circled back and left a comment here on your experiences with it. Blessings!
Thank you for doing this!
My pleasure!
Seems like the mags worked great once the spring set in from loading the mag a lot of times.. i would carry it with very little concerns. Thanks for this great content, good work.. much appreciated.
One fix I'd to simply sand down the internals
I just got my Werkx holster for a shadow systems CR920. Running a TLR and a Holosun 507K. Super holster. Pretty ruggedly built, and comfortable.
Thanks very much for your positive feedback. The CR920 is a sweet little pistol.
Thats all i need to see , reliability !! even with the white box ammo .
Thanks for this honest review. I just bought some PSA micro mags for my Glock 43x.
I'm so glad it was helpful!
Are you a chaplain with a glock?
You are the only one on RUclips that I see these micro dagger magazines with malfunctions.
You're a liar. They're not thr only ones.
I bought three shield arms mags. All 3 have failure to feed every time. Just bought three of these slick psa mags. 2 of the three had multiple failure to feeds on the first 15 rounds. Last mag ran all 15 fmj’s without jamming. Then ran 15 rounds of 124gr hst’s through that same mag and no jams although didn’t have last round hold open. I’ll be testing that one mag that seemed to work some more before ever carrying it. Other two are automatically range only mags. (Also why you should always number your mags)
Great feedback. Let us know how it goes after you get more rounds through them!
Y’all earned this sub! Thank you for this test
Thanks for the sub!
I use your holster, and I didn't know y'all had a youtube. I enjoy the holster, and would recommend, but I've also only ever used y'all's as far as IWB goes
Great video looking forward to a higher count update...
When purchasing the psa magazine it sounds like 500 rounds of ammo and range time has to be factored into the price 😅 psa should do all of that work before they send them out 😭 great video gentlemen 💪🏼
Outstanding Video!!! --> Greetings from The Netherlands (Europe)
Another channel Big Timber Lodge made a video about psa failure to feed. He said he's had no issues so far but one of his viewers has had FTF. So they took the mags apart and checked the follower and inside the mag for polymer burs or excess and they sanded down the sides of the follower and inside the mag to smooth things out. Since then they say they've had no more issues. Might be worth a try.
That's good feedback... though my initial thought is that PSA could do that before shipping them if it's required for reliability.
Can’t wait for the new sig lights lab testing
We have samples we are testing now!
I run my 48 with Glock mags because I had awful reliability with the shield mags (with their mag catch) but I ordered a psa mag to see how it works for me and I hope it runs good.
Would be great if you commented back here once you ran it.
Yeah man let us know what happens with ur mags
This is a valuable review thanks and jealous lol
Great video
Thanks!
I found with the Shield Arms mags (haven’t tried the PSA), it takes a bit for the spring to loosen up. Once that’s worn in they work flawlessly
cope
I have a Glock 48 with stock glock mags. i have noticed when i shoot flat tip FMJ rounds, i constantly have failure to feed issues. however when i switched to round tip or hollow point, i didnt have any issues. the feed angle of the glock 48 is very steep which may be contributing to the failure to feeds with flat tip rounds.
Think I had the same problem with my 43x, the PSA could have a break in period as well
That's so weird that a wadcutter jams but a hollowpoint doesn't. Guess less material in center allows it to feed better
THAT, was a good test. I have been trying to decide whether to try these mags. The Shield Arms mags did not feed well in my G48. Even though you only had 6 failures in 1000 rounds, that is 6 too many for my purposes. After watching this, and many other mag videos, I have come to the conclusion that you have a 50/50 chance of them working properly in your specific gun. I think I will stick with my stock 10 rounders. I carry this gun for self defense. It has to work.
I’ve got 650 through two of mine and probably another 400 through two more that I bought after those. Zero failures. I kept them all loaded at least a month.
Do they all always lock back?

Wherever this video was shot, looks like a beautiful place.
Idaho my friend (Please don't move here we are over capacity as it is)
@@DerWaidmann_ already here. Showed up in 2002. Love it. I am at 6200 feet though……
@@johnleidorf2280 Well in that case good to hear from a fellow Idahoan
As others have said, we are in Idaho, a bit North of Moscow. We live here on purpose... it's one of the "more free" states in the Union. While we have gotten an influx of the wrong type of people, we have a lot of Christian conservatives moving to the area, and I love that. I would like to see Idaho become the state that takes a firm stand for the liberties of its citizens. To do that, we need more of the right sort of people.
My first thought. It’s all that crap you got hanging off the gun. Lol. Kidding. Thanks for doing this. Mine have been 100% but only 200 rounds so far. Not near enough.
That's great feedback... check in with us and let us know how it is going after more rounds!
God the dumb fudds who say shit like that are seriously irritating.
Same here I haven't had any problems mine is the shiny slick version
Glock needs to seriously think about upgrading to steel mags. Instant upgrade for ALL their models and id imagine they would knock out their competitors
You're all good shooters, but the guy in the checkered shirt is a machine!
Yes, Jamison is definitely that!
how do u like that holosun eps? just ordered one haven’t seen a ton of feedback on them
I just purchased 2 of these mags and hope they work better then the Shield Arms. I ran 115, 124 and 147 grain in the shield and had nothing but problems with the 147g. My slide would lag coming back forward.
I have 2 mags. Only 2 malfunction over 500 rounds. I used Palmetto AAC Ammo. 115 and 147 grain. Both had failed me only once. Every other ammo companies, Blazer, Fiocchi, PMC, Sig V crown and Hornady JHP hasn’t failed. These mags work! Idk about the long around 5k rounds but in a self defense situation, you won’t be running that much rounds..
When I get ready to get a holster I will be buying off you all
I believe we make the best light bearing holsters on the market. I look forward to you running our gear!
Thank you for your research ! 🙏🫡
Happy to provide! This was something that folks like you requested from us.
Great video. BTW, the springs weaken from movement, not from being compressed and stored.
Thanks for the feedback!
Im more impressed how your tlr7sub light stayed on. Mine just wont on my Dagger Micro. Ive gone through 3 broken screws after just a few rounds and the screw back out. However on my sct43sc frame… no issues. Weird.
Damn, dudes finger is like a switch 😂
Jamison...
I got one of the slicks coming soon and I hope they work.
I hope it works for you as well!
ive got about 120 rounds of range ammo and Defense ammo, threw one of the slicks and no malfunctions.
Nice. @@zackbenedict9142
Same I have the slick never had one problem and I'm over 200 rounds with it
I too have issues with the micro mag in a 43x. FTF and they never lock back on the last round. When I run them in a micro dagger, no issues.
Great fuccin review
I put on ear pro and turned the video volume on high, it was like being there.
Myself and three of my friends have PSA magazines and we didn't need to shoot hundreds of rounds putting all that wear and tear on our magazines to know the work. We all ran about three fully loaded sessions in each mag we owned and all is good. The stoppages were with 2 of my friends who had those thumb slide and slide stop grips. I had ZERO malfunctions with 300 rounds in 2 magazines, the four to 5 malfunctions my friends had went to ZERO when they stopped using that thumb slide contact grip so in my opinion the magazines work 100% when cleaned from time to time.
** My friends also had the same stoppages with OEM magazines with that copycat thumbs forward grip.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
I think you miss the point.
Umproven product, and someone needed to take the plunge and test it.
That optic though handling the round count.
We run a lot of Holosun and Trijicon on our pistols with good experiences with them.
Why wouldn't it?
School of the American Rifle has an excellent video to cure these mags and get them to run perfect. On the magazine, polish three spots and remove some polymer near the slide stop lever. Easy dremel job. I haven't tried it yet but it seems like the perfect remedy.
can you guys make a holsters for the Echelaon by springfield armory with red dot streamlight for attachment ty ty lol
If you're running a TLR-1, it fits great in our Outlier holster!
Just grabbed 2 mags myself I’m gonna carry with no hesitation
You guys have any failures with longer-OAL rounds like the Ft. Scott TUI? Seems to be a completely disabling failure in these mags on forums.
If you guys would test these w/ TUIs and other long rounds, inquiring minds would greatly appreciate it!
Good, thx
After seeing a Winchester round squib video, I stay away from Winchester. I get Sellier & Bellot, Fiocchi 50 rounds for $13 anyway
Every company is capable of having issues. Anytime I go to an academy or bass pro the number one type of cheap ammo they have supplied is Winchester white box. Kinda seems that’s why there are more failures with it because more of those rounds are being fired than other manufacturers. I got a case of Fiochi that had 5 rounds that wouldn’t seat in a P30 or any of my Glocks. I also had the same issue with a case of S&B but it was only 2 rounds. I have shot well over 4K rounds of WWB in the last three years and never had an issue.
We shot 2000 rounds of WWB that morning, with zero ammo related failures. If we had failures, you would have seen. I've run S&B in the past and been happy with it as well.
Hey look its the guy from Midnight Oil. 😮
Just ordered one of these today my 43x , I got the micro slick mag. Had seen they worked a little better than the other one.
Nice! Let us know how well it runs.
@@WerkzHolsters I will definitely keep you all informed.
I have 3 PSA mags and all 3 were jamming using steel case and some brass case ammo
I wonder if Jamison is limp wristing it when he was firing one handed.
I'm not sure Jamison -can- limp wrist. The man is a shooting machine.
0.6% failure rate is pretty damn good for $349.
I've not had one problem with my 10 round OEM mags for my 43X, so why switch? 😊
Have you tested the shield arms mags? I haven't done any research on them but my friends that have them haven't reported any issues.
You need to do more research. The Gen 3 mags have issues.
We have some in the shop, but haven't tested them yet.
They suck and you have to get metal mag realse ..I wouodnt even buy to target shoot with just get the psa and thank me later
That's a lot of failures. Might be best to stick to factory mags. Have you tested the factory 10 rounders to 1000 rounds?
Yeah, that's something we should have done -- side by side testing of the PSA with Glock mags. Live and learn. Hopefully the video is helpful regardless. We provide the data and you can decide for yourself.
It just sucks that the OEM mags only hold 10 rounds. That sucks for the size of the pistol. Why waste time buying a G43X or a 48 when you can get a P365 XL, Hellcat, Canik Mete MC9, FN Reflex, Shield Plus, etc. and get a gun that's far superior?
That's an opinionated statement.. carry what you like.🎉
6 mags - all 6 fail to feed around the 4/5 round and some fell out after a shot
Was that a standard Glock trigger in your G48 or aftermarket? If aftermarket, what brand?
The gun is 100% stock except for the optic and of course the PSA magazine. Stock internals.
Was this all with the same magazine or did you have multiple and if multiple mags was it the same one doing the hangup and failing to feed ? I'm curious if it was just that magazine or if it happened to multiple mags.
We shot all 1,000 rounds through 1 magazine.
How many times do engineers and physicists do we need to tell us that the 'keeping the mag full wears out the spring' myth is false, for the gun community to get it?
Well it actually does compress jt more as it's been documented that a 3 year old mag that was always loaded vs a 3 yr old empty mag will show that the empty mag has longer spring length. As for reliability it's not gonna be a problem until the length of the compressed spring is so short that it can no longer push the follower up
There's a small number of people saying their s15 shield arms aluminum mags always stovepipe
Enigma LB-compatible, please.
Completely smooth all polymer on the inside, and use a g17 spring. I have absolutely 0 issue, with a wide range of weight/profile. I dont care for the psa spring.
They thanks for sharing that interesting mod!
Finger exercise? Do you not have a maglula? That thing it's worth it's weight in gold if you shoot a lot
We did test a speed loader that morning as well... but that is another video...
@@WerkzHolsters I highly recommend the maglula if you haven't tried it. It's simple and works great!
Someone's trying to get their Milspec Mojo on, nice.
damn big boy can shoot!! hes a auto cheat code
He had to register his trigger finger with the ATF 😎
I noticed a couple of the malfunctions happened when the guy in the blue shirt was shooting one handed. To me it looked like limp wristing.
If he ran cci brass I think the failures would be less or obsolete. The reason I stay away from Winchester 9 ammo
I don’t think this is a fair test only because Winchester white box ammunition sucks
Break in the gun…CHECK now I need to spend another 200-300 dollars to break in a friggin mag???!! No way
Watch the guy in the hat. He is clearly anticipating the recoil and at times limp writsting it. No all the time but is happening
people make fun of me for carrying ets for my PCC, but my ets specifically are marked because they are the ones that have had 300 rounds through them no failures. i dont trust any other mag lol. not until i get enough rounds through it.
Question for Glock enthusiasts: i know many of you say you trust tour life with the a Glock? Can you say the same for these aftermarket magazines, S15/PSA?
Y’all should’ve brought gloves
I don't know about Jamison, but I personally hate gloves when I'm shooting. But I did pay the price. It didn't make the b-roll, but I got some pretty bad slide bite from the G48.
5 & 6 failure were single-hand limp wrist
I agree, the bald guy had better mechanics than the other two guys..
Definitely a range mag.
Does big boy really shoot that fast or is that sped up
Where foxtrot2R test?
In the works!
I would have a difficult time blaming the magazine. Winchester white box ammo is just hot garbage.
did the dude in the black seriously do a head check doing a 1000rnd review? 🤦♂
If I need morethan 10 round out of the factory glockmag. Just carry 2. Lol
I think a lot of us are looking for that "edge" if we ever need it. Carrying an extra magazine has the additional advantage of allowing you to change if your magazine fails -- magazines have more often than not been the source of non-ammo-related failure in my classes (not the pistol).
I ran about 8k rounds through s15s
-
Here is what I’ve learned.
-
1) they come over sprung. I cycle them with rounds. Loading them and unloading them twice. Then shooting them. From this video, I saw PSA has the same requirement. These aren’t true double-stack mags. They’ve been forced into that role.
-
2) The springs in the s15 gen 2, lose spring power around 750 rounds, and if firing quickly (I ran my set up in uspsa)
-
3) SA will replace mag springs for free and ship them to you. You cover shipping to them. I bought a 10-pack of spare springs. Collect them and wait to ship them together.
-
4) I recommend doing the above, cycle your CCW mags 100-250 times and then put them away. Cleaning them every 3-6 months. Then use your training mags for everything else.
-
An extra 5-10 rounds is absolutely worth the regimen required above to me. I love this platform (I own 3 g43x/48 & 2 43s) and trust these mags with my life.
You don’t let the slide go forward by using the slide lock, do it like the buy in the black shirt. That’s straight from Glock. It’s a slide lock, not a slide release. This may account for a couple failures. One handing it always has a chance of limp wristing the gun during recoil. All n all, great test fellas.
Nonsense. Read the manual that came with your Glock. It says you can release the slide by pulling back on the slide or pushing down on the slide release.
So not reliable. Shame. Guess we still stick with Shield Arms and OEM mags
6 issues per 1000 rounds, out of a dry gun, using a brand new magazine, isn't nearly a fail.
Literally half of 1 percent...
@@RIPPER334 Glocks are known for going tens of thousands without a single malfunction. My P365XL has gone 2,500 to 3,000 rounds with only one failure to return to battery which was probably just a fluke. The standard for reliability in a tool that is meant to protect your life is much higher than this.
It would have been a better test if we had separately run another pistol with a Glock factory mag, 1k rounds each.
@@RIPPER334It's a massive fail! Lmao! That's horrible! It's pretty common for PSA. But for a quality product, 6 malfunctions in 1000 rounds is terrible.
Who fucking cares if it fails after 1000rds bro it’s a magazine bro stop complaining people do you need 1000 rounds to shoot someone no I get it for long term use yea maybe but for edc self defense how many times you actually using your gun keep carry mags separate from range mags you won’t be disappointed grab your most reliable mag than put to the side than any other mag is a play mag or experimental
If these tests are to be taken with anything but a grain of salt you need to be running stock handguns.
What are you talking about? They show the pistol at the start and it has a stock trigger and slide. It's meant to have the dot and the light attached to it.
Please turn off the music when you are talking.
Ill give them a try but ive had pretty great luck with sheild armes 2nd gen mags .
That's good feedback.
I've heard they are the onky ones that are half way decent and there almost impossible to find 2 gen
Can you do a comparison between that micro and the micro with the comp im interested to see if its worth it to get the comp version
maybe I missed it,.. but those appear to be G48's? Can you confirm? I noticed that almost ALL the failures with the extra capacity mags seem to happen with the 48's. I know some guys and have seen a number of vids both shield & PSA mags working great with their 43/43x's,.. But the 48's,.. mine included just didn't like those shield mags. Not a single failure with the 10 and OEM mags. Can you confirm which Glocks you used for this review? Thnx!
Yeah ill keep the 19 i dont care oem for real life and on range its whatever. The thing about that is there isnt a common problem so no one knows why failer rate is even 1 .
Literally NO FIREARM could run 1,000 rounds of Winchester "white box" and run flawlessly! Because there's literally nothing "flawless" about Winchester "white box"! It's the shittiest 9mm ammo you can buy other than "reman" shit!
