Wow that’s wild. I would’ve loved to have made it down there during that time. Such a sad time but an empty Kyoto like that probably won’t happen for some time. I guess I wouldn’t want it to either but still. Serene.
It was an interesting time. We stopped by a shop, bought a couple things, and the store owner said, "You saved me. You saved my business." It was so incredible, but I hope that it never happens like that again. There needs to be some sort of calm in Kyoto, but I don't know when that'll be.
We were fortunate to be there with you and Michele in 2018. A beautiful experience-few crowds!
It was such a good experience, even then! It was crowded, but not like now! 😞
Positively spooky!
It was super weird!
It feels so unreal! Iam glad i could experience Kyoto two times like this! April 2020 and November 2022!
Same! We went in November of '22 and it was so quiet! I'm glad we could both experience this. Now, I sit back and say, "nope!" 😂
So serene. Appreciate you documenting this!
Thank you! It was an interesting time. It'll probably never be like that again.

Wow unforgettable memories⛩️✨🍜
Indeed! 🍻🍜
Oh man I enjoyed the f outta Kyoto during the pandemic! Got my fill, never returning with how things are now.
It's so nuts now! One has to be super selective of where to go... like nowhere near the city's core. 😁
