Just purchased a 2022 with 330 miles on the clock in Dallas, Texas USA. It is maddening fast the way it is. I can't imagine the numbers you are getting. It is truly a Rocket. Thanks for the excellent Vid. Brits know their stuff and America says...Thank You.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the figures. The 221Nm stock bike. This thing 366Nm! (270ftlb) and 160bhp - 340bhp! AAAArgh! All for 8k. Gotta say that's a bargain for that level of increase. Top work TTS!
Nothing impressive by this. getting those figures out of such a large engine is just plain terrible really.
To be honest they are very restricted from stock a new exhaust and a remap takes you up to close to the 200 mark.
@@drazi5201 you might be able to get it out of smaller capacity bikes, but they will be hand grenades.
Isn't that plus VAT, plus built engine, plus fitting, plus mapping so the ride in, ride out price for the full power version will be atleast double that.
This is shaft driven and the power came from wheels. The stock power figures came from the crank. That's impressive!

For the drag strip test, you should have like a benchmark bike or two. Some common bikes like an MT09 and a Superduke or something.

@@tubejorrit Not at all, I have raced quite a few and even if you put two pro riders on the mt09 an SDR ,from 0-150+_ the mt09 will win most of the time due to the fact that the ktm has too much torque down low that you have to feather the clutch or use the back brake to stop it wheeling.
In a quarter mile the SDR will definitely win but not destroy the mt09.
There is a RUclipsr ThroughTheEyesOfThisGuys who raced an mt09 on his SuperdukeR.
Mt09 is such an easy bike to launch where as the KTM is just a torque monster.
But if it was a roll on race for sure SDR will definitely murder😂

I think i could quite happily just sit and stare at all the machined bits tbh!!! Such a neat looking install...
Let me tell you, when you get really used to the bike, have the suspension setup right and you get it on the right road (even rough ones as long as they're curvy), and you put the pegs on the R in the right position (Up!) this thing will blow your mind of what it's capable of. When the Rocket finally heats up and everything starts working together it has like this superhard mechanical precision feel about it that demands a perticular confident drivingstyle to get the most of but it is BY FAR the most rewarding bike to blast through corners with I have ever ridden. My history is mostly the older bikes like Fireblade 900rr, Suzuki TL1000-R. It's something truly special this one 👌

The power is one thing, but that torque curve tells the full story. I'm sure that if you could put a steam locomotive on a dyno, the curve might look something that!

TTSs engineering is always handsome - the plenum chamber on my Thunderbird is a thing of beauty and it's nowhere nearly as posh as the new Rocket kit. Being a big engine with a large flywheel-effect hopefully the fuelling is relatively straightforward to sort out.

This bike has so much torque that it doesn't drive, it just rotates the Earth in the opposite direction lmao

I've only got a 650cc bike to compare this to... The R3 is one of my dream bikes, and so is the H2. Marrying them together with a supercharger is just divine, I cannot even begin to fathom how much that beast pulls.
Standard Rocket 3 is mad enough. This one is bonkers, great stuff !
Not really - it's a pitiful output for such a large engine - should have been at least 200bhp - Triumph bottled it.

The traction control on a damp day is dim-witted on a stock gen 2 Rocket 3 - mucho sideways on the throttle - most be even more fun on this!
Love it how they plan to detune it down to a measly 300hp from 330hp. Pretty much removing 2 r125 from the engine
That £8k + VAT sounds like an absolute steal to turn a Rocket 3 into something even more ridiculous!

What about by changing the stock restrictive header for something like the Carpenter Racing header which is supposedly an additional 45whp in a bone stock rocket 3 (tuned for it of course).

Owned a standard 2.3 litre. I accidentally did a wheelie at a traffic light, twelve weeks in hospital latter and a double reverse fully shoulder reconstruction later and still suffering from pain broken bones in left foot, yep that supercharged monster will easily take off, on one wheel.
By the way, I do love it, awesome bike to ride a standard rocket, but because of my injuries a docile Can am Spider F3s is now my mode of transport, very lucky to be still alive, cheers, all.
You should have bought the supercharger. You could have saved yourself a lot of pain and agony.
