  • In this study, we'll delve into the critical importance of controlling our anger and speech. We'll learn how to handle our anger in a God-honoring way by turning to reflection, rather a reaction, when we're upset. And we'll learn what the power of grace is supposed to do in our lives with regard to anger, as we grow in godliness over the years.
    DISCUSSION / REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
    How do you typically handle anger? Can you share an experience where you either reacted poorly or managed to respond well?
    The sermon lists several practical pointers for dealing with anger and bitterness. Which one do you find most challenging? Why?
    How can we become "slower to anger" over time? What role does the Holy Spirit play in this process?
    How might our relationships and spiritual growth be impacted if we consistently dealt with our anger before going to sleep each night?
    How can we balance the biblical instructions to overlook offenses with the need to address issues openly and honestly in our relationships?
    How can we cultivate humility to 'own our sin' and apologize, even when we feel we've been more wronged than the other person?
