I hope that puppy knows how lucky he is to be in your kennels!!🙌🏼🙌🏼 Love Mondays!! This is a great video to pass along to people who ask for puppy advice...you’re the best Andy!!!
Hello, love your videos… they have really helped me with my pup. I have a 15 week old Malinois, I’m struggling with my boy.. he seems to be all over the place and I can lure him into the down position but he pops right up after I pay him and nothing I do seems to make a difference. I usually train when he’s nice and hungry also. I mark it with yes once he makes eye contact. What can I do to really get his focus.
What’s up Andy? My first try with luring wasn’t as successful and I just gave up. u just gave me inspiration to attempt again later. Will chat at ya on Patron.. on phone, Pierce
I'm working with a highly intelligent little dog and its owner a little girl; I'm hoping she's one in the next generation of dog trainers. I hope you're well!
Beans is exactly how my dog learned, same breed as well. Your tips work and gave my dog a solid foundation for when he's 120 lbs it will be very appreciated! They do spray there food all over, lol, still does!
Just watched ur videos of fetch heel and recall and I'm redoing my 6 months old malamutes training from scratch. Great content man just one question. Should i focus on 1 single thing for a while then move on to another or is it okay to do the down training for a bit then go do the fetch-play training?
Andy, when you get 100k subs can you do an ASMR video of you mowing your entire lawn. All of it. Freddy and Jasper have to down stay and watch the entire time so we can justify it as dog training related content.
Woah man, he grow up so much. Hey Andy, how's going his training, i think i can't train this type of slow and low-drive dog. I have experience only training working dogs.
Hey Andy! My 2 years old German Shepherd breaks the stay command and I don't have an e-collar to correct him. So instead I recently started holding a stick in my hand and he seems to fear the stick and don't break the stay command so it works. But does the stick in any way build a bad relationship with my dog?
Yes. And ecollar is definitely not applicable here. If a dog is not staying, they do not understand stay. So you need to fully teach the command before attempting to use it 🙏🏼
two Mals... 4 mos old... one goes down no prob... the other, not so much... he's strong - both physically and mentally stubborn... he'll keep his butt in the air and wrap his paws around my hand as he works to get the food. Advice?
No such thing as a stubborn dog! Never the dog’s fault! You need to manipulate the lure in a way that teaches the dog the correct behavior. He is simply trying to get the food but you haven’t made it clear to him what you want 👍🏻
@@stevewasnick8250 are you working from the stand? Really think of the down (from stand) as folding the dog down. Really gently placing their butt down and back w the lure down and back that might help. Remember not to pressure them during the teaching phase
I’ve done everything myself. It’s the first malionis I’ve ever owned and I have taught him stay and sit and somewhat down and up. It’s been all over the place. I haven’t made him a “working” dog. He’s do what I want when I want type of dog and we just train 10-15 minutes 3-4 times a day and I’m always saying sit or down or something and praising it. We take them walking a couple miles every morning. But what else could I do?
Great way to bump up food value for those rare dogs that aren’t very food motivated- put one piece of bacon in a bag of kibble overnight. Feed kibble, not the bacon. Superpower kibble!
Ready for a live. I got a question

Can you teach a dog different commands different days are should you wait until they master one at a time?
Several at one time 👍🏻
Love your passion for dogs of any breed!

When do you add the command word?
How do you fade the lure of food to a command without food? I’m training my malinois puppy.
One second at a time
So what happens after the lure is gone do you add a command ?
Add verbal before fading out the lure! 👍🏻

@@AndyKrueger okay, and thank you! I won't give up! He may not be stubborn but I certainly am! 😃

Hey Andy ,is a female Mali/Dutchi physically capable of finishing level 3 ring competition?
Depends. But theoretically yes 👍🏻

Cassius got down so fast but we need to train from standing.
20 month old Rottweiler, downs really fast IGP3 style
Oh yeah! 💪🏼
Thanks for the video. You showed how to teach sit with out food. But here you are using treats. Why not teach pup the down command with out food.
