Heck yeah! Great Pyrenees are sweet dogs. Just got one last week (a 5 month old Male). Started hand feeding the heel and he's noticeably making huge improvements. Just finished a session and he's marinating in the crate. Love those badger marks on Big Beans. Your videos are the best, thank you for sharing.

NEW pup here: 3 1/2 month old mini 50% Australian Shepard, 25% poodle and 25% Bernese mountain dog. Her parents were very small but think she’ll be about 35 lbs. SUPER high energy but also learns so FAST! Exhausting yet rewarding.
Regarding the crate. I 100% agree. For the time being I have borrowed a very small hard shell crate like in this video. Someone else is willing to loan me a size bigger if need be when time comes. Then I’ll buy one eventually. You can usually find use crates on Craig’s list in various sizes tho. She acutely loves her crate. Like her little den.

Researched what food to give to my puppy as Andy wouldn't tell me. Now I have a masters in dog nutrition and have to spend an hour a day making a 3 course meal for my dog. I didn't know it was so hard to have a dog.

Andy when’s the next Q&A I have a question. My 9 month old dog likes to let me know when he wants to play by barking at me but it’s not play time. I tell him No but he doesn’t care.

Why is is safer than a wire crate? Just curious as to why wire crates are unsafe for training or to have period?
From what I gather, the wire doesn’t really offer a safe place for the pup where they can be away physically, mentally, and emotionally cause it’s open. The pup can see 360 degrees at all times so it doesn’t feel like a den.
They can lick on it, stick their paws through the openings, bite it, not protected from spills, etc…. I guess they are painted also and the only thing you can really clean is the pan at the bottom.
Wire crates and collar is dangerous...if you do plan on going with wire make sure to take collar off....ive had a dog get his collar stuck somehow and he twisted a few times and it could have ended badly....

Thanks for all your helpful videos! QQ: my breeder recommends max protein 26% for our gsd puppy. She recommends Fromms Gold. I like Orijen but our breeder is concerned with the high protein % which she states could accelerate growth and cause issues. What are your thoughts?

What type of leash do you use
Do I keep the collar on the puppy at all times or do I take it of when he goes to sleep in a crate?
Yes u can keep the collar at all times but not the harness because the harness can get irritating for the dog(puppy)
