    This is by far the best example of alpha programming for vista panels with the 6160 keypad. Perfect speed and easy to follow along! Thanks for taking the time to do this!

    i don’t remember how many custom words i have saved in the system. is there a way to view them to avoid overwriting them?

    Thank you. So my hard wired zones instead of just being numbered, can be changed to alpha? So I just need to follow your video steps?

    • @AlarmSystemStore
      @AlarmSystemStore  6 лет назад

      Correct. If you have an alpha-numeric keypad for a Honeywell Vista system then this tutorial will work for you.

    How can I get a copy of the Alpha codes - the info did not come with our home when we purchased with alarm already installed. Is there a link to a pdf I can download?

    Can non wireless zones be programmed with alpha words?

    • @AlarmSystemStore
      @AlarmSystemStore  6 лет назад

      Absolutely. You can use alpha descriptors for hardwired and wireless zones as long as you have an alpha-numeric capable keypad like the 6160

      I’m sorry to be a pest. One more question. So my kitchen window is indicated by #3 so if I follow your instructions I can change it to read #3 kitchen window? Thanks again. Sorry.

    • @AlarmSystemStore
      @AlarmSystemStore  6 лет назад

      @@anthonyferrara2222 Yes. You should be able to do that. You'll have to do a custom word for the '#3' part or you could use the already existing vocab entry of '3rd'

      @@AlarmSystemStore If the name change takes, but when I open that door it still states the old name then how do you fix that?

    • @alexandersalarms5380
      @alexandersalarms5380 2 года назад

      @@eyeswideopen2284 I’ve had that problem before. Try renaming the zone again, or clearing it and then change the zone name.
