    I just landed my first IT service desk role myself and even though the title is Tier I/ Tier II support tech, I am learning how to remote into cameras power cycling ports, printer issues, imaging, and so much more. Definitely beyond password resets, but it's going to be great hands-on. This whole video is totally on point. Literally every word of it.

    just came in to drop a like. Thank you for all your work! I got my first job in IT thanks to all Kevin's content. Can't thank him enough. Not only that, but the motivation he gave me has no price. Everyone: never give up! if someone didnt find you valueable, that doesn't mean anything! There will be a place elsewhere for you to work and be appreciated! I did many interviews until landing my first job!

    Right on Kevin.
    My first position in IT and it’s in service desk.
    Our company do a lot there. Our department does the phone, AD, mdm, mobile ion, gulent, account creation, termination, office 365admin portal, Soti, raspberry pi for monitor for the production line, navori stix, scanner, printer, file share, access for folder permission, configuration for printer, scanner, computer, image lab top thru pixi boot, image terminal thru hp console, Ethernet patches, cabinet on floor for patch on switches there, lansweeper, vnc, Citrix, etc…..still so much more. So good and bad
    Good because it’s awesome for me to learn and build my profile, bad because sometimes I feel lost lol.
    Great video through
    Thank you

    Hey Kev I secured my first help desk job a few months ago using your resume template from one of your videos! I've been learning a lot of stuff hands on and never shyed away from asking questions. How does one decide on a career path above the help desk position? Ive been thinking about that a lot lately trying to plan ahead almost feel like I'm picking a major again in school

    Do you need help desk to break into cybersecurity?

    • @KevtechITSupport
      @KevtechITSupport  Год назад +6

      I have a video on that. You don't have to work helpdesk for cybersecurity. Some people do cyber internships and jumped in a cyber job full time, some people network with other people, some people get hired because they join social events. Really depends on the person.

    Hi Kevin! Is a A+ good enough to get a job working in MDM devices,or you have to go through helpdesk first? I did hear you mention configuration MDM within the help desk.

    • @KevtechITSupport

      mdm is part of helpdesk or desktop support.
