Ludwig van Beethoven
Symphony No. 1 in C Major, Op. 21
Metamorphose String Orchestra
Conductor: Pavel Lyubomudrov
I. Adagio molto - Allegro con brio
II. Andante cantabile con moto
III. Menuetto: Allegro molto e vivace
IV. Adagio - Allegro molto e vivace
Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 in C major, Op. 21, was dedicated to Baron Gottfried van Swieten, an early patron of the composer. It is not known exactly when Beethoven finished writing this work, but sketches of the finale were found to be from 1795.
The symphony is clearly indebted to Beethoven's predecessors, particularly his teacher Joseph Haydn as well as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, but nonetheless has characteristics that mark it uniquely as Beethoven's work, notably the frequent use of sforzandi, as well as sudden shifts in tonal centers that were uncommon for traditional symphonic form (particularly in the 3rd movement), and the prominent, more independent use of wind instruments.
ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA
Captivating, soul-stirring performances of classical and contemporary music. The Metamorphose String Orchestra, founded in 2015 by conductor Pavel Lyubomudrov, has been taking the Belarusian music scene by storm with a series of critically acclaimed concerts - and now has its eye on Europe.
Exquisitely blending creativity, tradition and musicianship, the Orchestra’s performances exude a deep love and understanding of music. With a constantly-changing repertoire that spans from Baroque to original arrangements of popular music and contemporary Belarusian composers, the Orchestra proves true to its name: experimentation is in its DNA.
Conductor Pavel Lyubomudrov, a graduate of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory and a pupil of Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Vasilyevich Alekseev, has filled the Orchestra’s ranks with some of the country’s finest musicians. Alumni of the St. Petersburg, Moscow Conservatoires have joined him on his artistic journey, sharing stages with renowned soloists such as cellists Mikael Samsonov (Germany) and Antonio Mostacci (Italy), violinists Lisa Jacobs (Netherlands) and Andrey Baranov (Switzerland), oboist Juan Manuel García-Cano (Spain), flutist Maria Fedotova and pianist Stanislav Soloviev (Russia), among others.
“Music changes lives”, is the firm belief of Pavel Lyubomudrov. “By taking people into a region beyond words, it helps them connect with themselves - and others - on the highest, purest emotional level”.

THE BEST MUSIC OF ALL TIME!
👏of course👌
Nice
Influence of Mozart in this first symphony is evident. But genius of LVB is fully brought in this timeless music.
As Romain Rolland said: Symphony No. 1 is a poem of youth smiling at its dreams ...
But in the introduction, in the shadow of some dark bass, in a fantastic
you notice the scherzo ... in this baby the look of a future genius.
Apart from the superficial resemblance of the opening theme of the slow movement to the analogous movement in Mozart's 40th Symphony, this First Symphony is Beethoven. If there's any slight influence, it's his teacher Haydn.
Thanks for the upload. I doubt if you could hear a better performance of this symphony, wonderful !
The Leitmotif of this symphony is so powerful! Beautiful piece and great interpretation.

Nice upload! Thanks!
My freshman orchestra is playing this exact piece and I’m so excited lol
I am ashamed to admit that like most people, my exposure to Beethoven is limited to the Moonlight Sonata, Fur Elise, The Symphony #5 and #9. BUT i will change that by listening to his lesser known symphonies. (At least not known to me).

This is really nice, except for the annoyance of the adverts coming up and interrupting the music... 😕
Thank you! The musicians are very pleased with your feedback! It's a shame that the ads make it difficult to watch the orchestra's performance...

great
Sensacional! 👏👏👏👏 👍✌️🇧🇷
🇹🇷😍🤗
That sour note (trumpet?) at 8:56 hurts :( not out of criticism but out of sympathy because I know if I was the musician that's all Id be able to think about after a performance
