When Nick asks the waiter if they dip the cheeseburger and he replies "if you want it", I got the impression that if you ordered a cup of coffee and asked for it to be dipped, they'd figure out a way of making that work.
So true 😅
Coffee? No! We just serve cups of broth!
I assure you that’s correct!
That roast beef had some profound tensile strength. Quite the platonic ideal of a sandwich!
0:29 Nick’s got that step back on point👌
that thumb seems like a decent waiter
That my friend, is one of the most feared creatures in the universe. His name is Majin Buu.
Danny Moe so true 😂😂😂👌🏻
It's a cold and dreary day when the Thumb can't extend a bit o' hospitality to 'is guests! Come, enter and be welcome at The Sea's Bounty!
i spat my water all over my laptop after reading this
ok ko yeah, but sometimes the thumb should just be confined to the rear
I'm here because George Motz somehow. I can feel it
Me too lmao
Me too .
The hair brought you here
Im 42, been eating there since kindergarten...best roast beef sandwich...and when you get it dipped, it's called an "KFJ"(knife, and fork job)..it was really funny when you picked up the KFJ with your hand
Oh yeah I kinda cringed at that. Love the knife and fork
chef sounds like peter griffin
J 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
they never showed the chef...
He's a handsome boi for making good sammiches.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He said, "let me get a buuuuuuurga" chef says back, "you want a cheeseburger" lmao
Looks like Wilson Fisk opened up his own sandwich shop...
ツ_iTzRiazPvP yes I also enjoy playing uno
I'd eat there just to get served by this waiter. Seems like he knows his stuff and is funny AF in a Peter Griffin sort of way.
Tip from a local: Dont get the sandwich dipped, get the gravy on side.
SellurSole Is the non dipped Sandwich great then? is this place on the subway line? If so, what train, and station?
Mark from Canada
im not a huge fan of roast beef, i prefer the burger, but people really like the roast beef. take the Q train to avenue u
Nah u buggin i get it double dipped all day long
I do I do
SellurSole dipped garguilio burger
Profound, ethereal, iconic, evocation, viscous, imbued, tensile strength
don't think I'm a fan of the wet bread. but I think, like most people have mentioned here, the sauce would be better off the side so you can pour it (or dip in it) later. I still prefer the bread to hold its shape while you're taking a bite out of it.
I agree. When the bread is soaked in the aus jus, it just disintegrates. On the side would definitely be best.
@@normandea I've been there and had it both ways. It's honestly better soaked. The inside of the bread gets amazing and soft, but the outside still has a crust. It's really hard to explain.
@@eliseserpico7866 There will always be a multitude of opinions on almost every topic regarding food. And I respect yours!
Ariel agree, bread is not to be eaten soaked.
i personally would like it if i tried it, because i hate those burger buns that are dry
I ate eight sausages for dinner. Sausages are so deceptive.
When you're eating them you feel nothing so you binge but an hour later you feel sick. What a confusing world.
Nathan Pickering that's how I feel everytime I have sausage 😷 I mean not 8 but they always make me sick lol
Nathan Pickering What kind of sausage? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Nathan Pickering I can get to that.
it`s a dick joke.
^No dude they ate real sausage food not like you
0:29 love how nick awkwardly jumps out of the way
omg they look sooooo gooood thats proper food im scottish and thats the type of food that scots would ADORE!!!!!!!!!
That chef eats the menu for every meal.
smh
RBuckminsterFuller Never trust a skinny chef
Hope he passes on the recipes before he dies from a heart attack or stroke.
Hey, quality control.
I trust that Chef!! He obviously has been eating really well.
"Double stacked American cheese, praise the Lord."
Amen to that, brother. Amen to that.
I used to hate nick, but shit like 0:29 and other little nuances over the series makes me realise he's not a prick in the slightest. Especially that meat show throwback, like ordering straight vodka because they had no water. Such a giggle.
TheGraveAccent I
Yea, I don't know why people are pissed off at him so much ... I wish there was more of the meat show
Yes, this is such a good observation!
Looks bowel-shatteringly delicious: Cheers, Nick!!!
I'd get it on the side and pour it on the meat. I am not a fan of soggy ass bread. But, good job Nick. Notably less pretentious here!
most ppl who aren't mental dont eat soggy bread. This must be the dumbest concept i've ever seen....Me eating soggy bread = higher chance of shooting myself in the foot.
I live 2 blocks away from Brennan and Carr and I pass by there almost everyday and i always see people ordering food outside in the summer and it smells amazing
sharon pass it all the time
I went to Brennan & Carr after the Aviators Hockey games back a few years ago. one of the best sandwiches i ever had. I had a budweiser with it and all was great
Hahaha I never noticed the "It's really amorpho-ahhhhh!" absolutely the best part of the video.
Bruh nick’s dance at 30 seconds kills me
don't mind this presenter. he's kinda humble and not too loud. too many food reviews and chefs that are just too shouty its unbearable to watch!
Vividcg
He's pretty sexy too
Hi, Nick.
he's a closet racist tho
zip2kx
Obama isn't in this video.
Vividcg ugh, no he's not. He's addressed this.
The roast beef looks really good, but that waiter is the best! Classic Brooklyn!
agree
This place is the best you got to eat here
'What's good today?' Chef: 'Everything. I just ate one of everything to be sure'.
I grew up in Bensonhurst and I recall when riding with parents we drove past this place a thousand times, never once ate there though, I got to change that real soon!
when your chef looks like that, you know your stomach is in good hands.
In awe at the size of this lad. Absolute unit.
Nick is such a mod. Love it !
That looks so so so good I love these kids of sandwiches.
The Sumo Wrestler of Noter dame serving you sandwiches
sea doo I wish that was true, it means I have a mom and a pillow. I have neither:(
killforthemula dude it was a joke, don't get your boner in a twist
I'm just enjoying thinking about how French people feel about the other one being called a "French dip" lol, never gets old
A girl I went to high school with years ago was nicknamed The French Dip
I have been here and tried all three of those items. My recommendation is just stick with the roast beef and have it dipped. It’s to die for. Very good.
You have the greatest job! Keep up the good work! I am hungry again!
soggy bread. meh
eggmandalian Yea, looks like garbage..
disgusting
i mean it`s supposed to be like that
such a turn off
i mean i understand dipping the meat but then why pour it all over the bun and making a soup in your plate
I always drive past this place, never knew it was well known. Will try it next time.
a profound clarity of texture
Ate at that place several times! Love it
Never trust a skinny cook
never trust a fat chef, he eats like shit and takes all the good parts about the food.
he's the waiter
Ricardo8388 ok next fat ass American
You don't have to be 600 pounds to be a chef...
10/10 originality
It's far wiser to get the broth on the side so you can dip as you go. The bread doesn't get too soggy and you get that great mix of flavors!
I’m in Evansville IN. We used to have a place called,”Sir Beef”. The look and food remind me of said restaurant.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS GUY !! his meat based shows were hands down the best.. the guy is a class act, BRING HIM BACK ~!
Bruh I'm stoned outta my mind and been binge watching this dude talk about food so good😩
I didn't knew butterbean is now a successful restaurant owner now
Ive been to Brenan and Carr and the roast beef sandwich in broth is sooo yum!
My mouth in watering just watching 😲🤤
In awe of the size of that lad. Absolute unit.
I would trust that waiter. He looks like he loves food, respectfully.
OMG that Roast Beef is to die for.
MEAT SHOW IS BACKKKK!!!!
I learn about Brennan and Carr from man vs food ep with Adam richman . Now this name is popping back up .
Ahh the good ole days
Same here bro
Does he really gotta announce that order on the loud speaker tho? Lmao
My fav man as kid luv it
Looks Amazing!
This is an Italian beef on an onion roll. Been doing this in Chicago forever. I'd be knifing and forking it as well. This is why we have a half dip.
it's not an onion roll. Dunno what Italian beef is, but this does not have any Italian spices I see. Meat, plain roll, au jus. American cheese optional. Sloppy. Good. Eat at the counter, they won;t try to give you a paper plate. actual plates used.
@@EdKelly-yu6gp an Italian Beef is a very popular sandwich in originated in Chicago
@@blazejon Oh, i know they eat it there - I've seen it advertised when I was in Chicago - i just never ATE it. I've eaten at this place. it's just roast beef dripping with juice.
0:30 I see that footwork champ. 🥊
Ese Guey 😂😂🔥
I love roasting a top round to just barely rare and dipping it. I'm going to have to try the roast and burger combo.
Amazing!
What's interesting about B&C's is that I grew up in the area, and never once did I nor my friends set foot in this place. It always seemed like this bizarre restaurant, a low, windowless building set on a concrete island. Whenever I walked by it, which was nearly daily, I thought "That place cannot serve good food." Here I am 40 years later, and turns out I was wrong. Now it's a hipster destination.
Nick if you like this, you have to go to Buffalo (NY) and try the Roast Beef on Weck (Kimmelweck roll) with fresh horseradish.
Um. I came here to learn how platonic the beef was, it wasn't mentioned even once. dislike.
jojojaykay I bet it was etherial. Too bad it wasn't from the longissimus dorsi.
Yes, but that's only because it was profoundly beefy.
jojojaykay your comment is ethereal!
jojojaykay Surprised it wasn't quintessential. :(
AHAHAHAHA these comments are awesome
Looking like some beef curtains
Can Nick do an episode where he eats a dollar store steak without knowing where its from and the price? I want to see his reaction.
He should review Tad's Steak.
This place is cheap. The heck you on?
@@abdullahahmad4239 I think he wants to see it because the host always compliments everything he eats, so we would know if he is a poser or actually knows something about cuisine and meats
funky and profound
I remember this place from a old show called: Man Vs Food
Best saving ever at 0.29.
Nick is the best!!
Yes this is my favorite spot roast beef and wing dings
That's not the waiter, that's the villain Kingpin incognito
I think this is a first for Nick Solares.
"I'm just saying, like... yes."
The North shore of Boston is known for their Roast beef sandwich shops more than any place in the world!
Makes you want to jump on a plane to NY if only that were possible...
When I'm eating cereal with milk, I think to myself I'm not getting the clarity of drinking a glass of milk.
This guy Nick is what we would call in London, a ‘melt’
Love your stuff
it's 4:27AM and I'm eating a Gargiulo Burger right now along with some wings and cheese fries, the food has not changed in decades and the prices barely went up. Also you want to see two NYers get into a fight? Ask them what's better: Roll N Roaster or Brennan and Carr lol, proceed to sit back and enjoy the argument.
God I miss this guy . . . Damn you Eater
I can get down with ALL that..
but I'm from Chicago, home of the Italian beef.. and most of us like ours dipped 😁
I go here a lot - it's so fucking classic and delicious. Beef sandwich with cheese and onions, soaking wet. Side of onion rings and a Coke. The big dude waiting on him always sits in the corner reading the newspaper when it's slow.
so for all the haters of the soggy bread what do you think about it?????
Lee Randell
It's fucking marvelous! Chicago's Italian Beef sandwiches? I mean come on - soggy bread is where it's at.
RandMan14 hell yeah italian beefs or combos dipped? Can’t go wrong with that in chicago I love this place
BRENNAN AND CARR WAS A FAVORITE EATING PLACE FOR EVERYONE IN THE EARLY 70'S. WE WOULD GO THERE IN MY CUZ ROBS 68 GTO ALL THE TIME. A ROAST BEEF WAS ABOUT $ 1.25 WE WOULD GET FRIES , SODA AND HANG OUT LATE GO TO CAPT WALTERS BAR AND ENJOY LIFE. WHEN I WENT ONTO THE US NAVY IN JULY 1971 WE WENT TO BRENNAN AND CARRS FOR MY LAST CIVILIAN MEAL. I MUST HAVE EATEN THREE SANDWICHES AND FRIES AND COKES GOT ON AIRPLANE 630 AM NEXT DAY AND ALL I THOUGHT ABOUT CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK TO NY ON LEAVE FOR BRENNAN AND CARRS OMG !!!!!NOW AT 68 I THINK BACK TO HOW GREAT LIFE WAS IN EAST FLATBUSH OFF GLENWOOD RD AND NOSTRAND. A GREAT BROOKLYN EASTABLISHMEN BRENNAN AND CARR AND A PART OF HISTORY TOO. BUT IM COMING BACK SOMEDAY FROM NJ AND STATEN ISLAND.
Need to see a visit to Roll N Roaster!
some mayo would make it heaven...this place has been there forever.
Drooling!
The gargiulo burger everytime...even the hot dogs are great
In the famous words of the bi-polar boy from the movie Babadook "Do you wanna dieeee!"
Oh my god this looks delicious.
He said profound again. Yes!
brennan & carr will forever have a place in my heart and stomach. but i have been going there all my life and never ONCE known you can get ya burger or roast beef dipped. fuck i have been missing out...
if you've never been there, you will not understand just how really great this place is...........small, family atmosphere, ice cold beer on tap, friendly staff and the hot beef is the best in the city.........the burgers are excellent, and, if you want fries, make sure you get them smothered with cheese. One of the only reasons I ever go back to Brooklyn anymore is to go eat there............
That Comic Sans menu gave me a heart attack.
Chef running the Egan name like a true Irishman 🤗
Kingpin on his off days
The guy took the whole Brooklyn vibe out. Only the waiter was legit.
I'm just saying...yes.
It is pretty profound Nick, you're right.
