- I wanted to make this video for a long time.
queens and women had to deal with a lot of shit in history and I'm glad that some tv shows talk about those things. about haw hard it is to be queen and wear a heavy burden of the crown, to be queen wife and mother all the same time, to make difficult decisions and etc.

Wow, the emotion is this is incredible, and the choice of voiceovers, particularly those that overlap, really carried the theme

@@SG-pu3rx Queen Matilda (892-968AD) was the first lawful female heir and claimant to the English throne but I'm not sure that there are any movies about her.
@@elamplough1 Altough Empress Maud/Matilda is one of my top 3 historical figures from England she was never accepted as Queen and had no positive impact on the possibility of other females's reign after her. We don't even know her thoughts on that. Also she didn't have a stabil rule and if anything that fact about her time of reign, tho in my opinion falsely blamed on her, has been used as an example against women when it came to a discussion about the possibility of female monarchs.
Was she a lawfull heir : YES.
Would I preferred her to get her birthright : ABSOLUTELY YES.
Yet altough their difficulties highly paralleled each others' , it was Mary I who was able to do those things I listed in my original comment.
