      I actually took it from “Grapevine Fires” by death cab for cutie, although Fool In The Rain is pretty similar: just add a Kick and open the Hi-Hat on the “a of 1”

    Cool. At grade 3 now this is on the horizon for me. As far as building the beat goes i might give this a try tomorrow. This looks like it might be possible if i build it slowly and work my way up.

      That’s one way. I like “1 an duh, …”. Anything with 3 syllables works :)

    Sorry but not exactly right. The ghost note after the 3 is on the and (+) not the a.

      The same happens to me. I lose track of how many times I've played the pattern, that's why I prefer using a stopwatch.
