Suck It & See is such an honest and sweet record. Such playful and yet deeply serious lyrics. Alex’s vocals on it feel super pure, like he wasn’t trying to have a deeper voice or sound any certain way. It’s just the “real” Alex.
Could Alex be the only person who's smoking habits improved his voice?

ikr, i only started listening to them like a month ago but i already bought like 3 cds by them. but at the same time i was rlly young when some of their albums were released so idk if i would have enjoyed it then😭

Sometimes it works out for the better that way. I’ve been listening to them since the first album and after the second album I’ve been feeling like they’re declining in quality with each album. I couldn’t get into base hotel at all. I couldn’t even finish hearing the full album the first time because I thought it was so awful.
@@sharinglungs3226 Not all of us feel that way. I've been a fan since the first album and have grown with them. Each album has come at the perfect time in my life for me to appreciate fully. TBHC is genius imo

Completely agree with revolver era beatles being the best - like just pre peppers but post rubber soul!! I like to think of rubber soul as their last “pop” / “early” beatles record and revolver as their first “grown up/mature” record when they really started doing some experimental things except they hadn’t got the moustaches and the outfits yet!!

Ive always loved that Arctic monkeys have never let any "real" fan down.... when whatever people say i am, i am not came out it was so amazing! Favourite Worst Nightmare was even Better! then Humbug was Better then that! and now suck it and see comes and its probably the best album theyve put on. alot of bands loose most of their fans by the second album but these guys just keep going! Hopefully they reach more then 10 albums :*

One of my favorite songs from them is She’s thunderstorms. The first girl I dated made me feel just like it’s described in the lyrics of that song. Everytime I listen to it, it’s as if I am still dating her…
he has a way of perfectly describing and evoking the feelings involved in relationships with women. I love the line 'your fingers dimming the lights, like you're used to being told that your trouble' from Stuck on the Puzzle or 'with folded arms you occupied the bench like toothache, stood and puffed your chest out like you never lost a war' from Crying Lightning. He's so good at using little characteristics to bring people to life, it's all so well observed.

They should release a new live DVD with, obviously live performances, but also new interviews, behind the scenes videos and stuff like like this. THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!!

That was cool to see a snippet of the production of 'She's Thunderstorms'. I love that song some much. It's strange to think about how much thought goes into each song, section, and even note though. In my mind I kinda imagine that they just come up with the songs perfectly straight away :P
