knit in garter stitch until you have about 42 cm / 16 1/2 inch
k1 k2tog knit until the end of the row repeat until you have 3 sts
Bind Off
little band:
CO 5 sts
knit in garter stitch until you have 5 cm
Bind Off
for a nicer edge:
knit each first stitch of a row through the back loop
slip every last stitch of every row with the yarn in front of the stitch as if to purl
