@Iam God No, not on a loan - you’re talking about banks paying you interest on savings - they pay far less than 25p a day. No bank on the planet will give you a loan at 25p a day - that’s 3,000,000 pence and paying 25 pence a day would mean it’s gonna take 120,000 days to recoup the original outgoing. It’s pretty much a certainty that the guy who lent them the money was very wealthy and was knobbing one of them. Many/most businesses are massively in debt. As long as they take in enough money to cover the repayments and the cost of running the business, the fact that they owe money is no different from a person having a mortgage. What am I missing. A business making decent turnover, into profit, owes money but at a cheap rate. A consultant being let go for not doing a job doesn't seem outrageous enough to turn off all dragons.
Sometimes they make no sense. 🤷🏾♀️
Yeah I was so confused by this one. They seemed like really nice ladies too, which that alone sometimes gets you an investment but not this time apparently
they went bankrupt
They were not making any money.
Dragons mention this to new people on the show all the time... as you grow, your margins get squeezed. They are turning over a few hundred K but making pennies.
Being that big at that scale making nothing means that the dragons are pretty limited in what they can do.

Is this episodes from the 70's? These hairdos are crazy!!
They looked like two nice ladies but as Peter said , there was something bothering about them. Something were not really adding up.
One such thing
They fired a consultant because they thought he was not doing enough , yet that consultant lent them 30000 pounds for virtually nothing . Who does that 🤷
Something didn't make sense, not sure if it's because 60 min show is compression into 12 minutes.
Replace fire with broke up with and it all makes perfect sense, alls fair in love and war
"My fee is 30000 quid, but you can pay me in installments out of future growth that I'll help you with" and then does nothing, that is the scenario I am guessing at
@@mendelde?? If that’s your guess then you’re clueless mate
when they walked in i thought i they were going to pitch a wig company
10:49 what’s she on about? It was a packed elevator pitch with full open answers on cross examination . . .they served up all the answers unlike many fellas who don’t know one single financial . . . And accused of it being “discovered” like it was hidden or the dragons were insightful or something. Pafh
I look forward to seeing your observation in action. Only 4 mins here
Why do many contestants in this show always sound out of breath when they talk?
Nerves
Ah yes, the series with super saiyan 3 Deborah.
Hilary Dovay.. Is that how it’s spelled?.... Is it just me or does anyone agree she looks like Toby Jug?????
Jenny is out and she's not even here
It really annoys me when these people with relatively young businesses, start telling some of the most successful people in the country about business.
We are always learning.....your comment is ignorant.
Hillary: Moisturizer does not work on gargoyles and therefore I'm out
Wicked witches.
Sometimes these dragons just want it on a plate
Episode filmed 2012 well done Dragons den keeping up posting latest episodes !
There have been no episodes made for almost a year. The most recent pitches can be found by searching this channel.
This channel is free you ungrateful snoz
Where are your shoes, bro?
The girl in the red wig really sneered at Hilary. Seems like a very immature businesswoman.
i cant make sense of the companies information. it says the company has been going for 3 years. and massively in debt. anyone shed any light?
and has a different director
but still based in brighton and the formula looks the same
The company status shows "Liquidation" so it's no longer trading and is being brought to an end.
oh i think i've seen what's happened, there is a different company balmonds skincare selling the same product in holland and barrett. balmond is the entrepreneurs surname but the company director is a man. perhaps a new company started when the old one folded?
Many/most businesses are massively in debt. As long as they take in enough money to cover the repayments and the cost of running the business, the fact that they owe money is no different from a person having a mortgage. Every young couple that has just bought a house together is "massively in debt" but as long as they can pay the mortgage it's not a problem.
I wish i could borrow 30k for 25p a day 😮
Love this show
Very little profits, duped by consultant and high street chains
They screwed over that guy.
Me an American "Why are they not worried about a 25 pound a day loan???"
P as in pence...

She might Weez herself
Ho ho ho! This thread's a right wheeze!
She'd understand why, be absolutely fine with it and in fact, now you mention it, wish she'd thought of suggesting it herself.

Dragon lady uses aging cream not anti aging cream
This camera work is really something else
Does Hillary really think that wig is fooling anyone?
She had cancer and passed away.
25p interest a day doesn't sound like much on a 30k loan. That's a yearly interest rate of 0.003% if I'm not mistaken?
Yeah lol, in the us, that loan would’ve been 8%....
That was what was so shocking about it
Hillary " I m stone broke....i m out "!
Hilary Devey has the most amazing outfits.
Weze is an interesting name. Can't find it online.
I wonder if it's just short for Louise? I hope it's not as mundane an explanation as that tho.
@@elizabethrhvb-b6162 I wondered that but I doubt she'd use a nickname in such a formal situation. Maybe though. Far stranger decisions made on the Den lol.
