Community Influence: Acknowledging the significant role that parents, community members, and social media play in shaping the behavior and values of young people.
Addressing Root Causes: Emphasizing the importance of tackling the root causes of problems rather than just treating the symptoms. This includes removing criminal elements from communities and holding parents and youth accountable for their actions.
Family Involvement: Advocating for a family-centered approach to addressing delinquency and criminal behavior, involving parents and children in joint probation, counseling, and programs to address infractions together.
Community Responsibility: Highlighting the need for communities to take responsibility for identifying and addressing criminal activity within their midst, including turning in known criminals and ending the glorification of criminal behavior.
If the panel isn't committed to the 4 steps above and beyond, they are wasting every ones time. You can't fuse street codes and citizenship together, its either one or the others. You have to pick a side to be successful, it's no straddling the fence. If you aren't capable of turning in someone who's committing crimes, you are a part of the problem. Saving one isn't enough but removing the actual issue saves souls.
