Wow! I've always wanted an "uglies" star fighter set!

It was cool to see the two sets side-by-side

Thanks! It took a bit of time to get it all together

I really like the new X-wing, in the movies it looks like the front landing gear is about as tall as a person so just the basic skids made the old set feel off when landed also the wedge sided front section on the new one is so much better than the flat sided old one

I can agree with that! It just takes time to get used to visually

    I do sort-of like the TIE-wing, it looks sorta like a V-wing

the only issue I have with this X-wing is that the wings dont close together properly like the old set

If you are referring to the mechanism, it’s due to the play feature of the mashup. If you are referring to the gaps then yeah, it’s unfortunate but almost every Lego x-wing has that gap problem

@@VenturesBrickhouse from memory the rubber band kept the wings together properly in the Closed position, didnt it? I understand it's not possible with the wing swap, but still a bit of a shame.

Yeah some of them had rubber bands but either of the ones featured in this video came with em. You are probably thinking of 75273 & 75102. Those both do have the rubber bands.
It is still a bit of a shame
