you bringing up the cl13 reminded me that 9.0-9.3 has so many cool and interesting planes that are basically unplayable because of the matchmaker. it really makes me wish i used to play this game before this happened, Id love to play those planes 4 years ago. it’s so sad i wish gaijin would fix this.
@@cheekibreeki4638 the 104 is annoying as all hell for sure and drags out games forever. that alone isn’t enough to stop it from being fun to play those planes. it’s definitely the all aspect missiles/18g and above missiles. Also for the case of 9.3’s you are basically 100% guaranteed to get uptiered into 10.3 every game because of the f5c. a lot of the planes around are going to have missiles that are at least aim 9j or better and you of course don’t have flares. and because of the compression you’re gonna be fighting aircraft that are way more capable and that includes the f5c’s, they are too good and you’ll be facing them every game. it really is so sad because it would be my favorite bracket to play if it wasn’t getting railed by compression and a 100% up tier chance because of premium spam. those planes were never meant to go up against missiles that good otherwise they would’ve had flares. they gotta either decompress the brs or give them flares that they didn’t have irl.

I really hate the rat rocket squad clip at the end. It sums up so many of my games. You get infinite hits with guns that won’t do anything and then they just do a tactical fighting retreat back to their airfields and leave you with no ammo, no fuel, and nothing to show for it.
6:13 I really didn't like the A28B at first but it quickly became one of my favorite jets (and higher k/d ratio as I learned the game) but if you're ever getting "Vultured" like this from a f86 or a Mig15 just ignore them and extend or call for help. you can just pitch roll or dodge there guns because they will usually try and zoom you try to reverse the faster jet :) Don't try and follow the energy trap because it's a trap.

Surprisingly, I prefer the default rounds when it comes to American .50 cals on jets. With the majority being ap, you have a much greater chance of hitting multiple components or even pilot sniping

I got the A-5 a while ago.... cant do well in it because i suck at jet combat, and piston engined plane combat.... and..... you get my point.... how do you know all about the planes you're fighting? their optimal climb rate, their turn rate, their max speed, their energy retention.... etc? It seems you know all that stuff about every plane in the game once you see it
Experience, the best way to counter a plane is knowing how it flyes, what can do and what can't do. Warthunder learning curve is horrible! an absolute horror, that's why flying with experienced pilots will get you good in a short time (compared to fliying solo). EDIT: And some planes are just busted and broken, and there are BR branches that are horrible to play like, 5.0 to 6.3, or 9.0 to 10.0, and 11.0 to 12.0, in the first one is now plagued with JU 288 and the fights are super boring, the other ones there are aircrafts that are powercreeped to death because of BR compression. Warthunder is a game that is very unfair most of the time.
Its just experience and I am rather lucky that I just remember it all very easily. I can gauge a plane by playing a handful of games mostly. Most important thing is to fly a variaty of vehicles and so you know what ur up against. And yes I have 3000 hours in planes or something
It comes with playing the vehicle extensively and finding the style that fits it. What I do with a new vehicle is: -On take off see what speed and how long it takes to lift off. -Lift the nose slightly til I start slowing my acceleration. -Once at about 2000-3000m alt, I level out and let it get to cruising speed. -While at/approaching cruise speed, I test control surfaces (roll, pitch, yaw) -I test a dive to see how bad it locks up and how safe it is to push it past it’s speed rating. This is how I get a basic feel for the aircraft. Once I have that, then I begin stress testing it by flying it in a way it hates to find the way it prefers to fly
I've had many similar experiences with .50 cals just giving me nothing against most jets. I don't know what it is but their damage feels a lot higher against props. Could just be that props being slower means you always get way more rounds on target but it feels like there's something else there too. Also highly based Alaskan skin
Well, MG151/20 M-geschoss vs F89B - nothing to the part hit, the part of the wing a bit further got super-lightly yellow. Jets have insanely tough damage models.
MG151s are kind of broken right now though. They're way weaker than they should be, and are probably the weakest 20mm in the game right now, even with mine rounds. I would believe that Jets have tough damage models, however
An idea for something when you either dont have the footage you want or something is a series where you go over the differences in model in detail and how they impact and change performance from one another. There are so many different models of almost the same plane that it can be hard to know the intricacies and the wiki is either general or just kind of ass.
is sabre nerfed 6 month ago? i remember sabre has faster acceleration than a4e back then but now a4e (with 1gunpod+2aim9b) feels a lot faster than sabre now, especially when taking off (im not using the rocket booster in a4e)
Is the J7E worth it right now? I started grinding the Chinese tech tree to get it, and what jet(non-premiun) is good to begginers? because I'm also kinda new to jet as I barely played them in the past and I'm used to props only.
i love the way the Sabres just ejaculate their bullets through their 6 guns in a pure laser stream of piss. It's so satisfying watching them shred anything in their way after you drain someone else's balls of their energy.
The thing that i hate is that you have to exert all of your power to win against a mig 15 while they simply need to turn. The mig 15 is a straight ufo right now with how it performs, out turning, out running, and out energy-ing every at and even above its br.
I skipped all the early F-86s and only flew the top ones (and started with the CL-13... the game only had 1 of those back than, but i might revisit the B). The F-86s are way too "old-school" for the BR (not as much as the Ariete or the Sagitario on 9.3 so FU GAYjin).

It used to be so good at 7.7 but then it went to 8.0 and gets 9.0 matches 90% of the time now. I aced it in like, 2 weeks
