Good honest review. I just bought one of these things before seeing your review. Impulse buy. The first thing I found was the connector to the body was difficult to tighten completely. Therefore I was letting air out of the tire initially. Finally decided to hold the connector while pumping the air then it worked. So that part is a bummer. And as you said....it doesn't hold a charge very well. I just topped off the air on my golf cart tires and I got them all done. Two tires were down 4-5 lbs and the other two down just a little with each. A little charge left.....but just 1 bar.
I got this just to have in my suv on trips(emergency use) and to use to top off my bicycle tires. It should suffice for my needs. Chances are if I ever have a partial flat somewhere in my suv this should get me up enough to get to a tire shop. The power cable is just long enough to reach all my tires from my suv if I need its battery power. But it may not be long enough on some trucks as someone else mentioned.
On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best I'll rate it a 3.5. And it's a little overpriced.
Edit: After using it a few more times I am beginning to like it more. Getting the hang of it better and not letting air escape. It's actually very good at airing up bike tires. And will be good for topping off my golf cart tires. Will keep in my glove compartment for emergency use on the road. I have an electric air pump in my garage and will use that when there. So....not a ringing endorsement as I think it is still over priced.

Appreciate the honest review; however, did actually expect that small device to inflate 4 truck tires?

I just received my 2 units & agree with this review, she's on point. after it died I even used the included 12v plug, worked for like 1 minute & it died. I may keep 1 & return the other. cost vs value i would not purchase again nor recommend. Great tire pressure gage, packaging & concept but sadly not what I expected.

I watched the video and you did a great job. I think the pump is really for only 1 tire or bike tires. Trying to do an entire vehicle is a LOT for that little pump and a huge ask. You could potentially leave it plugged in while filling the car tires but the cables are not nearly long enough. On a bike trip it would be perfect.

Does Inflate=R have an adapter for presta valves (valves used in bicycle with thin tires) or only schrader valves (standard bicycle and car tires).

I was thinking of buying this product, but after hearing about the very limited battery life, I might reconsider. However, if you only have ONE flat tire during an emergency, then perhaps this would work out for you.

They did pay for this honest review from me and send the product to me free of charge, but the opinions are 100% honest and entirely my own. 👍🏻 I also should mention that they told me there is a new model coming out (or maybe has come out by now?) with an updated power system, so you might want to check that out.

Excellent review! I will wait on the updated model. It is truly hard to find a working air station at gas stations these days!! I've found 7-11 to be the best. Wawa used to be good too but idiot people started damaging the stations. Smh.

I saw this on an IG ad, and it seemed too good to be true. Every other portable tire inflater I’ve looked up are small, but not THAT small. I need to find something more durable, but still compact.

Perhaps the one that I received from the company was defective, but considering that they approved the review and didn’t question that my results were out of the norm, I don’t assume so.

    • @GordonAlley

The car battery cable will power the pump, but not charge its power bank, according to the instructions. You'll have to use a USB cable to charge it up for cordless use. If you have a USB power socket in your vehicle (I have a couple for powering my iPhone while using its GPS on trips), I presume that could charge the pump. Coincidently, I was charging my Inflate-R when I saw this review pop up in RUclips (got it in 2020 but haven't used it much). I see that when it is on my USB charger, it seems to operate as if it is running on battery, but I don't know if you could actually use it while charging--it might depend on how powerful your charger is.

I guess they are more interested in selling the product then helping you when there is a problem. I just want a credit to my acct for it.

  • @VJPHaitiLady

@carriblogger, I noticed that when you opened your package, the plastic bag contained the hose already connected to the clamp-on adapter as well as including the other adapters for the bicycle, balls, and one for other inflatables. I ordered three air pumps and NONE of them had the clamp-on adapter for the auto tires which was the main reason I made the purchase. I also needed the bicycle adapter for myself and it does NOT fit my bicycle nor is it the right kind of adapter. In one of the three boxes, I was missing ALL of the adapters, and in another box, the instructions manual and the USB charger is missing. I am so very disappointed that this air pump is pretty useless to me. None of the three that I ordered will serve any purpose without the clamp adapter and the other missing parts. I tried both emailing the company and calling without answers from either. After my experience and seeing your honest review, I give this product a triple thumbs down.
