For a nice view of Belsize Park and beyond you can try sneaking into one of the 5 council tower blocks on Adelaide Road (Taplow, Bray etc.). Usually not a problem to time it so you walk in and get the door when somebody is leaving the buildings and get the lift to the top floor. Some nice views from there although I have to say those blocks and the lifts kind of made me feel uneasy - somewhat creepy. I remember that in the later half of the 90s there were some flats in those blocks that were for sale, probably initially bought by the tenants under the Right to Buy scheme. Prices were really low for the area and some of the flats were actually pretty ok inside (a couple of my primary school classmates lived there so did get to see them inside) but truth be told its not really a place one would want to live in.
Oh my wow! This is priceless history🥹 thanks for sharing your experience and I will try to go to that block and see the view. I would be delighted to see the flat prices in the area remain “affordable🥲 which has increased steadily and for me it is now way far too expensive…:( please keep tuned to my video and I will deliver more of London!
